About: I have been called Dr. Dolittle my entire life. I have a knack for connecting with animals of all kinds. My very first job was working at a local farm with all different types of animals like horses, goats, pigs, chickens, ducks, etc. It was one of my favorite jobs, I got lucky! I also worked at a dog boarding facility which gave me experience working with multiple dogs at once. I always give animals the space to have their specific personality and the respect they deserve, as I would treat a human. Animals are often misunderstood, I’ve always tried to meet them where they stand. If there is one thing I am confident in, it’s making an animal feel safe and comfortable. And they do the same for me :) I would love to meet your faithful friend! I currently work a very flexible part-time job and am pet-sitting most days as well. I am more than willing to work with your schedule. Working with animals is more than a job to me, I very much enjoy it. I will find ways to work with you and your pets personal needs. I love to schedule a meet-up before providing pet care. This is just to see that we are all on the same page and everyone feels it's a good fit. I do not offer services at my home. I will travel to your home so your pet can be where they are most comfortable. I work around you and your pets comfort. As a pet owner myself, I understand it can be hard to leave your companions in someone else’s care. I want to do what it takes to make you feel 100% safe and at ease when leaving your furbabies in my care.

About: I am a life long dog lover with many years of experience taking care of dogs as well as fostering dogs in need! I believe boarding should feel less like a kennel and more like your dog is staying with family. That's why I keep my boarding groups small, so every dog gets plenty of individual attention, affection, playtime, and space to relax. Your dog becomes part of the household while they're here not just another dog on the schedule. Dogs are welcome to make themselves completely at home. They can curl up on the couch, nap on the bed, play with friends, or find a quiet place to relax when they've had enough excitement. And when they're ready for an adventure, there's plenty of that too! A typical stay can include walks, outdoor play, trips around town, dog-park adventures when appropriate, and lots of one-on-one attention. My goal is simple, when you go on vacation, your dog gets a vacation too. Dog sitting is my full-time focus, which means your dog isn't being squeezed into my schedule—they're part of it! Being home and available throughout the day allows me to give each dog plenty of attention, playtime, outdoor breaks, walks, and, of course, plenty of time to relax and make themselves at home. Because I intentionally keep my boarding groups small, I'm able to get to know each dog's individual personality and routine and adjust their day around what makes them happiest and most comfortable. Whether your pup wants to play, explore, follow me around the house, curl up on the couch, or just enjoy some quiet time, I'm here to make their stay feel as much like home as possible. When your dog stays with me, caring for them isn't something I do around my day, it's my day! 🐶❤️ I intentionally keep my boarding groups small. Fewer dogs means more individual attention, easier supervision, more personalized care, and a calmer home environment. It also allows me to get to know each dog's personality and routine instead of treating every stay the same. Whether your dog wants to spend the afternoon playing with friends, following me around the house, exploring outside, or snoozing on the couch, I want them to feel comfortable being themselves.

About: My husband and I live in a cabin in the woods (literally!) and have been dog owners our whole lives. We have our own 12 year old mixed breed dog and a fenced in back yard area for the dogs to mingle and do business as they please. My husband works from home and makes his own schedule, so we make sure your pet(s) are getting the care and attention they need. We also do not take more than one dog sitting gig at a time so that our dog and your dog(s) establish a pack and are comfortable and safe in our home. My husband works from home 5 days a week and makes his own schedule. I work from home Mondays and Fridays and any weekend travel is updated through our app months in advance We are hyper aware of any changes in your pets disposition, eating and drinking behavior, and we always pick up #2 from our yard so we are very in-tune to any changes in the bathroom department 🤣. We know first-hand that it can be stressful leaving your pet at an unfamiliar home and find that having another dog around (as well as a dog cam in the house) helps them relax while also allowing us to make sure they’re adjusting okay even if we are out running errands. We make sure that the dogs are never home alone for longer than 4 hours maximum, and are well exercised before any time they’re left alone. We also do let them sleep on the couches and make sure they get plenty of cuddles during their stay with us.

About: I have been around dogs and cats my whole life. I currently have a puggle named Riggs who is almost 2. He is very friendly and loves other dogs. I also have a senior yellow lab named Bailey who is friendly as well. I work in the maritime industry as an engineer and have a lot of free time! I work in the maritime industry so I essentially work 6 months out of the year. I have a lot of free time so most days I’m available to care for a pet. I live in a cottage with a yard. I typically sit outside with my dog and watch him. I typically never let him outside alone and always have him in sight.

About: I’m a serial long-term pet sitter, and have been pet sitting through Rover for several years! Our family- myself, my partner, Will, our 9 year old son & 5 year old daughter- are huge animal fans! I’ve owned dogs, cats, fish, and lizards myself. We currently have an outgoing, friendly, & vocal black cat named Calzone and a Tetra tank we affectionately call “The Kids”. I am the go-to pet sitter for several family members, friends, and neighbors. We have had pets stay with us for long term stays. So, long term & frequent stays are A-OK… your pet will be cared for like part of the family. I am comfortable caring for farm/hobby farm animals at your home as well. We moved to Bethel (Will & I grew up in the area) in 2024 from our home in Fairfield where we lived for almost 10 years & where I started with Rover! Our home is a single family farmhouse with a huge open yard, meadow, and ponds, abutting wooded trails and a short walk to Huntington Park. Our yard is not fenced, and although our street is relatively quiet, we always are with our visitor dogs when outside. Dogs with strong prey drive might not be a good fit for stays at our house, but could be a great fit for care in your home, walks, etc.

About: I've grown up with a variety of animals my whole life, including dogs, cats, and farm animals. Although I have little experience with pet sitting, I'm very comfortable with all kinds of dogs and cats. I'm currently working 2 part-time jobs as a barista, however I'm super flexible as my work schedule changes from week to week. Besides that I like to go to the gym and spend time with my chickens as much as I can. Around that I still have plenty of free time to start pet sitting. I love spending time and playing with pets, so a lot of what I would do is keep your pet company and engage with them as much as I can. With dogs I would play fetch outside if possible and with cats I would run them around with whatever toys they have. As well as, making sure the animals have enough food / water and keeping their home as clean as possible.

About: I’ve been taking care of pets since I was 11 (various animals, and breeds)! I’ve grown up with dogs and I’ve always had multiple in my home. I have experience taking care of guinea pigs, cats, dogs, fish, but specifically puppies, and senior dogs. I am a college student that’s working part-time over the summer. However, my day-to-day schedule is extremely flexible and I am at home for a majority of my workday. I have a large backyard that is fenced in, and a very mellow old lab who can either keep your pet company or be crated if needed!

About: Big dogs and little dogs are all happy dogs. I enjoy taking care of and spending time with animals. I have had experience since my childhood I will be more active in my life physically walking them and taking care of them. It’s a perfect job cute animals and taking care of them for money. About: Almost always available to pet sit and walk, please read more for details! I have personal and professional experience pet sitting for dogs of all sizes as well as cats. Through working various jobs/ internships, I am good at following strict regimens for feeding, going outside, and any other responsibilities asked of me. My love for animals started when I was little - I grew up with one St. Bernard and one Labrador Retriever, learning how to interact with animals as a child. When my older sisters would pet sit, I would come along with them to help and see the animals (as a child, I mostly just wanted to go because they were so cute!). I also love visiting shelters to interact with the pets and give them well-deserved attention. I will not be available Memorial Day weekend. I will be in the Connecticut area for a few months as I just graduated from college. I can almost always work around your pet’s schedule as long as there is notice a few days in advance! I prioritize observing an animal’s behavior with me and with its environment. I also try my best to form a connection with the animal so that taking care of it is less stressful for both parties. I would love to meet the owner and their pet prior to sitting, over call or in person, and enough in advance so that the sitter can have time to decide if another person is a better fit. If I believe caring for a specific pet is out of my expertise, then I will not accept a job as safety is my first priority.
