About: I've had three dogs in my life. One turned 17 this year. She's a happy old lady but does require some medications that I have learned to administer and I make sure they are given on time and properly. I enjoy taking my pups on long walks on nice days. Aside from my personal dogs I have spent time house and dog sitting for two other people with various different dog types with different personalities. For one of these people, she is also a dog sitter and I assisted her in one emergency situation where she needed needed me to stay the weekend and care for the five dogs in her care plus her two minor children. I work full time with set hours Monday - Friday. I'm free weekends. Early morning walks are easily done but afternoon walks are after 4. Depending on location, how close a location is to my job, I do have a 30min lunch where I can run out and give a quick walk. For my personal dog I tend to do a good long walk in the morning and another good long walk after 4 to make up for the long day. I've never worried about bathroom accidents with her. I love dogs. That's just a fact. I protect them anyway I can. I have gone out to look for neighborhood lost dogs, I have seen paw prints, but no shoe prints, in the snow during a snow storm and I went out searching for what I was sure was a lost escaped dog. Before leaving my house, I do a scan to make sure there's nothing dangerous out that my dog could access, hanging cords, small items, loose treats, etc... to make sure she's always safe.

About: I have had dogs and cats of my own and I have also worked in an animal hospital and done some wildlife rescue and of course pet carei I am looking to assist with your pets to make it easier for you and your schedule and vacations or weekend trips or check ins. About: I enjoy walking a lot, hiking, being very active in general I take caring for animals. I am Olivia, I am 27 and just moved to Connecticut from NY with my husband. I have done animal care for years. I have a cat of my own who is 15, he is an odd ball, very skittish and has help me gain an understanding of how to care for cats. During my cat sitting visits, I will first say the cat's name/names and see if they seem interested in interacting with me. I will ignore them if they seem shy or until they decide they would like to interact with me. I will feed them, clean the litter and whatever else is asked of me for housesitting or care. I have extensive childcare experience with plenty of references upon request, to show my ability to care for people as well as animals. I am looking for this as part time employment as I nanny 3 days a week, so I will be free to provide the best possible care. I recently came back from being a nanny in The Netherlands for 2 years. In regards to my own pets, I keep a consistent feeding and walking schedule, for their sake and so I get used to stay consistent in keeping my dog healthy with plenty of walks and hiking. I like to greet my animals early with cuddles and pets, mid to late day I and my cat will sometimes play with a feather toy or laser. My dog like to dance with me and play tug of war or just run together in the field by the end of my road. In regards to your animals, I make sure to follow the instructions carefully and pay great attention to details. If in your home, I will always make sure to take off my shoes, not make any messes, respect your personal things, and treat your sweet babies as if they were my own! (and play/care for your animals in a way you and them prefer it best)

About: Animals are my life! They literally flock to me and I've always had a way with my furry friends. In my childhood my German Shepard, Flash, was the love of my life and always loved energetic play, beach runs, and playing in the dunes. I handle dogs both big and small and my current client has a tiny teacup mix, Riley, who despite his ten years of age, will play fetch for hours on end. He does have a heart condition and problem with his trachea, so being careful during walks (not letting him pull the leash too hard) and making sure he doesn't overwork his little heart are two safety concerns to always be mindful of. I also regularly dog sit Riley for weekend stay overs and make sure to stay with him in the bed so he is comfortable. Having grown up with all kinds of pets like parakeets, dogs, and guinea pigs (just to name a few) I've literally learned to "talk to the animals" and it's easy for me to familiarize with new pets and their needs very quickly. I'm very high-energy and can take your dog for an energetic walk at a comfortable based based on their health or general needs. And If you want your pup in tip top shape I can jog with them for hours and incorporate other fun games and exercises in the mix. I'm currently a full time "Rover" so my schedule is fairly open. I'm flexible in terms of last-minute bookings as well. The same flexibility applies if you would like to book a day or overnight sitter. I live on High Ridge Rd in Stamford near the Merritt so I'm only about 10 minutes away from the Mianus River State Park and 7 minutes from the Stamford dog park
