About: I have taken care of many, many dogs. I can also come whenever and multiple times a day! No issue! I love playing with dogs just as much as I love taking care of them. I can take care of them at any time. Never too early or too late. I can come multiple times a day or just once! Whatever is needed. I ensure to always have them on leash and in a fenced area. If I am walking the dog and a car comes I ensure s/he is in between my legs. I can also crate the dog if needed.
“Anna took really great care of my cat. I can tell she has a genuine interest in the wellbeing of animals. She even sent a photo during her visit which put me at ease. Would definitely use again!”

“Stuart took great care of my kitties Mags and Leela while I was away for work -- feeding them, scooping their litterboxes, spending quality time with them, and sending me daily reports with photos. It really put my mind at ease to know they were safe and well cared for. I'll definitely book with Stuart through Rover again, next time I need to take a trip.”

“Isabelle is a special caregiver. We hired her. To help care for our 2 German Shepherds, one of which is recovering from brain surgery to remove a tumor. With that, her and her partner have provided amazing care and shown love , compassion and patience to our guy. I highly recommend her if you need someone to provide that extra level of support.”

About: Dogs have always been a big part of my life, and I truly believe every pup deserves to feel loved, safe, and spoiled (just a little 😉). I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities, including fostering, so I understand that every dog has their own quirks, needs, and favorite ways to have fun, cuz same 💁🏻♀️ My schedule gives me extra flexibility, especially on weekends when I’m kid-free and can dedicate my time to some very deserving pups! 🐾 I’m looking forward to filling that time with wagging tails, happy walks, and lots of dog love. I’d love to be the person who gives your dog some extra attention, playtime, and companionship when they need it most. 🐶💕 My home is currently pet-free (aside from my two little humans 😉), which means a calm, clean, and welcoming space for visiting pups. I have a safe home where dogs can relax, feel comfortable, and truly be part of the family. In my house, pups are welcome on the couch, encouraged to get cozy, and yes… snuggles in bed are absolutely allowed! 🐾❤️ I want every dog staying with me to feel loved, comfortable, and right at home.

About: Hello, I am an empty nester and mom of two independent children and have received immense enjoyment and fulfillment from petsitting. I received an associate veterinary degree earlier in life and have had a passion for animals all my life. I have always owned dogs until I had to put down my last dog- a Weimeraner. Since then- I have enjoyed getting close to my clients dogs. I do walks/feedings and also board clients dogs at my home when they are away. Physical fitness is important to me so I enjoy walking or hiking the dogs I care for ! I work a small amount of part time hours so am home a good deal. Your loved one will receive lots of attention ! Excellent references are available if you require. Thank you, Linda
“Amy visited our house daily to feed and play with Tilly while we were out of town. She provided prompt and friendly communication and made sure everything she needed to care for Tilly was addressed. Amy’s reliability allowed us to relax just that much more on our vacation knowing that our pup was happy in good hands.”

About: I’ve always loved animals and grew up with 3 dogs and 5 cats. I’ve also owned a dog and currently help care for my aunt’s diabetic cat, including giving him insulin twice a day. I’m responsible, caring, and dependable, and I would treat your pets like they were my own. I’d love the opportunity to care for your furry family members! 🐾❤️ I work full-time as a paraeducator for Danbury Public Schools from 8 AM–3 PM. I’m available after work and would love to provide loving, reliable care for your pets in the afternoons, evenings, and weekends. 🐾 I’m happy to care for your pets in my home or in your home, depending on what works best for you and your pet. I’ll follow your pet’s usual routine, including feeding, walks, playtime, potty breaks, and lots of love and attention. My goal is to make your pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away.
“Lanie saved us at the last minute when our usual sitter wasn’t available. She went above and beyond to communicate updates, accommodate special requests, and more. Thank you for the excellent care, Lanie!”

About: I have grown up around animals my entire life and have always had a natural love for caring for them. Through pet sitting and caring for dogs and other animals, I have gained hands-on experience providing daily walks, feeding, playtime, and companionship while ensuring each pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I take pride in being dependable, patient, and attentive to every animal’s unique needs, and I enjoy building trust with both pets and their owners. My goal is to make a positive impact by giving every pet the care, attention, and exercise they deserve. As a full-time student, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide dependable and attentive pet care. I attend classes only on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with my school day ending at 12:00 PM, so I’m available for pet visits and sitting after that time. On Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and throughout the weekends, I’m available any time. I’m happy to accommodate your pet’s routine and make sure they receive plenty of care, attention, playtime, and companionship while you’re away. I can provide a safe, comfortable, and fun environment for pets in my home. My property features a fully fenced yard with plenty of space for supervised playtime and exercise, as well as a built-in kennel under my porch that’s spacious enough to comfortably accommodate even very large dogs. I always make sure pets have a secure, clean, and loving place to relax while they’re in my care. If your pet is more comfortable staying in their own home, I’m happy to accommodate that as well. I can stop by for drop-in visits or provide in-home pet sitting to handle feeding, walks, playtime, medications (if needed), potty breaks, and lots of love and attention. My goal is to make both you and your pet feel comfortable, so I’m happy to provide whichever care option works best for your family.
“Paul was able to come, with very little notice, to sit with my 2 dogs while I had to run some urgent errands. He was prompt, friendly, communicated well, and was patient and kind with my nervous dogs who had been traveling and were in a new environment. I am so grateful to Paul for helping me out and I look forward to hiring him again!”

About: Hi all! I just recently graduated from Bates college and am looking to pet sit! I’ve been taking care of family dogs and cats my whole life, but started pet sitting for others when I was 13. I am looking to go back to school in the future to get my doctorate in physical therapy, but in the meantime I’ll be home all summer and throughout the upcoming school year! I currently am working part time as a lifeguard while I am home for the summer but my schedule varies each week so there are no specific days off limits! I am free on both weekdays and weekends, I just ask that you contact me in advance! I can stay in your home to pet sit, or I can make frequent stops to feed them, play with them, and take them out to use the bathroom! I am available for one day gigs or for long term!
About: Almost always available to pet sit and walk, please read more for details! I have personal and professional experience pet sitting for dogs of all sizes as well as cats. Through working various jobs/ internships, I am good at following strict regimens for feeding, going outside, and any other responsibilities asked of me. My love for animals started when I was little - I grew up with one St. Bernard and one Labrador Retriever, learning how to interact with animals as a child. When my older sisters would pet sit, I would come along with them to help and see the animals (as a child, I mostly just wanted to go because they were so cute!). I also love visiting shelters to interact with the pets and give them well-deserved attention. I will not be available Memorial Day weekend. I will be in the Connecticut area for a few months as I just graduated from college. I can almost always work around your pet’s schedule as long as there is notice a few days in advance! I prioritize observing an animal’s behavior with me and with its environment. I also try my best to form a connection with the animal so that taking care of it is less stressful for both parties. I would love to meet the owner and their pet prior to sitting, over call or in person, and enough in advance so that the sitter can have time to decide if another person is a better fit. If I believe caring for a specific pet is out of my expertise, then I will not accept a job as safety is my first priority.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
