About: I’ve been around dogs and cats since I could walk, so caring for animals has always felt second nature. I also volunteer as a dog walker, socializer, and trainer at Danbury Animal Welfare Society, where I work with dogs of different temperaments, energy levels, and needs. My style is calm, patient, and attentive, whether your dog needs a real exercise walk, your cat needs a quiet check-in, or your older pet just needs someone gentle and consistent. I know trusting someone with your pet and your home is a big deal, so I take reliability seriously. I’ll show up when I say I will, pay attention to your pet’s routine, and send clear updates so you know they’re safe, happy, and cared for. I currently work full time, but my evenings and weekends are often free. I’m a good fit for weekend walks, evening check-ins, drop-in visits, and occasional pet care when your regular routine needs extra support. Because I value reliability, I only accept bookings I know I can show up for fully and on time. I pay close attention to each pet’s body language, comfort level, routines, and boundaries, and I never force interactions with people, dogs, or unfamiliar situations. For walks, I keep dogs securely leashed, avoid unsafe areas, and adjust the pace to the dog’s age, energy, and temperament. I’m comfortable with shy, anxious, energetic, and older pets, and I believe patience and consistency go a long way. For drop-ins, I’ll respect your home, follow your instructions carefully, check food, water, litter, doors, and gates, and send clear updates so you know how your pet is doing.
“Kathleen was wonderful with our 2 Siberian cats. She was thoughtful and caring. We felt very comfortable while away and able to enjoy our vacation knowing they were well taken care of. Kathleen Che led in and sent pictures as well!”

About: I am 30 years old and would love to be your choice to help you take care of your babies! I am an engineer at Entegris and work on site Mon - Fri, 6am - 3:30pm. My hours of availability are 4:30pm - 9:30pm during the work week. I am also available for walking and check-ins on weekends from 8am to 10pm (Saturday & Sunday). I have 2 kids who are 4.5 years and 7 months old respectively, i pick them up from daycare around 4 and then spend the afternoon with my boys. My pup (Sophie) is 7.5 years old and is a beagle/pit mix. I would love to spend some time with your furry family member while you are not able to! I currently work full time and would be able to come play with your pup any time after 4! Unfortunately house sitting will be rather difficult at this time. We have a fenced back yard and live in a quiet neighborhood in Ridgefield. At clients homes I am always respectful of house rules and make sure to follow the guidelines.
About: I have taken care of friends and family pets over the course of this year some long-term and some short term. Frequent dog park visits and timely feedings. I can accommodate all types of diets, raw kibble, and specialty foods. I currently work full-time however I have a rotating schedule so I can often pet sit and drop in weekdays if needed and weekends. I am off in the mornings so drop and visits are easy for people who work 9 to 5 and just want their dog to have some extra time out or to just check in on the cats. There is an option of having your pet here in my space all to themselves or with my personal pets. I have different options of sleeping accommodations for your pet cage, cot and cushioned. Though I do not have a fenced in yard, I have a dog park in my complex as well as a dog park 4 minutes away by car. I can accommodate all diets, including raw diet.
“Kayla was amazing with our two dogs. Very sweet and patient especially since one of our dogs has anxiety and barks a lot! I’ve never left my dogs with anyone and I would choose her again!”

“Chloe was great at caring for Wilbur and Mesu! Mesu being the "old man", has also been very apprehensive of strangers. I swore Chloe wouldn't even get the chance to meet him. Yet, he came out t9lo greet her and even allowed for scratches! Chloe always showed up on time, and went above to make sure both cats were comfortable.”

“Isabelle is so sweet and she was great with our boy Boone! We didnt have enough time for her to meet Boone prior to booking so our boy was nervous when she first got there, but she made sure to give him his space and time to warm up to her. It paid off because they spent the evening on the couch together 😊 She followed the schedule we provided and she sent photo and picture updates throughout their time together, which was great. Boone made a new friend so we’ll be sure to book Isabelle again!”

About: I am a ER RN working at a hospital so I only work three days a week. So I have been looking at ways to fulfill my four days off by engaging in things that make me happy which of course is the affection of animals. I have experience in fostering dogs as well for months at a time. I have dog walked for my neighbors in my condo complex also. I have also fed my friends and sister’s cats as well when they are out of town. My dog recently passed away last year, so I just wanted a way to spend some quality time with other animals as well. I work three days a week and I have four days off. And I work every other Saturday and Sunday. Depending on my work schedule, I could find time for before and after my shift. I have a very high sense of safety knowing it’s my duty since my main profession is a nurse. So I will make sure pets are safe, and not in any harms way. I have two cats, I always make sure my doors are locked, bathrooms and cabinet doors are closed. During a visit, it will be my duty to make sure animals are safe before I leave. Making sure doors are and fences are closed.
About: I’m a caring, responsible, and easy-going person who truly loves animals. I treat every pet like my own and always make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for I’m very flexible and I can work around a lot of times and make a lot of times work. We can work together to find what works best. I always make sure that animals are put in situations where they have the ability to thrive and are never in situations where their safety is in jeopardy.
“Another great experience!!! Jean always leaves my home so nice and my pets happy 😊. I was gone for quite a while this time (honeymoon), and I came home to two very happy cats, my mail inside, and plenty of food/water. I always feel so secure when I know she’s coming around and can actually relax and rest assured they’re in good hands :). No one else I would book with and look forward to having Jean around again!!! ♥️ as always, thank you!! ☺️”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
