“Another great experience!!! Jean always leaves my home so nice and my pets happy 😊. I was gone for quite a while this time (honeymoon), and I came home to two very happy cats, my mail inside, and plenty of food/water. I always feel so secure when I know she’s coming around and can actually relax and rest assured they’re in good hands :). No one else I would book with and look forward to having Jean around again!!! ♥️ as always, thank you!! ☺️”

About: I've taken care of, owned, and loved dogs and cats my entire life. My friends and family often rely on me to care for their pets. I have volunteered at a local pet shelter, cleaning, playing with, and feeding dogs of a wide range of ages and with various medical needs. I can provide excellent care for all kinds of pets, including senior animals. I'm active, organized, and ready to adapt to any pet need! I currently work part-time, so I have flexibility and time to care for pets! I'm available weekdays or weekends from 9am-8pm. I can adjust my schedule either ahead of time or on a touch-and-go basis to fit what works best for you. I can tailor my approach based on your pet's specific needs and your personal preferences. I have a large, grassy yard for pets to play in; I keep an extremely close watch on them when they are outside; I play with them too and make sure they have fun! I usually let them out multiple times a day for however long I can be out there with them. Indoors, I have cozy couches, bean bags, and dog beds for all pets. I have a variety of food and healthy/dental treats. I know of plenty of walking trails and dog parks near me.
“Maria took great care of our two cats. She followed all of our instructions and was in constant contact. It was a real relief to have her check in, text, and take pictures while we were away.”

“Martin was amazing with my two dogs. He spent the time to built their trust and love and took them on long and engaging walks which left them exhausted. I 100% recommend him.”
“How fortunate for us & our Cat Boo to have Marta help out while we were away. Boo was well taken care of! Marta remained in contact with us as needed & sent timely updates with photos of old cranky Boo.”

“Becky rules. Very responsive, very communicative, did a great job of taking care of our kitties despite a snow storm. Sent great pictures and knew how to interact with our shy one. Would book again!”

“Michelle was very easy to work with. She gave us regular updates on our cats and dog and spent lots of quality time with them. She even swam with our water-loving dog! I will use her in the future and highly recommend.”

About: Dogs have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I have 10 years of hands-on experience caring for my own dogs and helping care for others of all breeds, ages, and personalities. I provide loving, attentive care and treat every dog like family. I’m patient, responsible, and enjoy spending time outdoors on walks, playing, and making sure dogs feel comfortable, safe, and happy. I truly believe dogs understand more than we think. I take the time to build trust, learn each dog’s unique personality, and give them the attention and affection they deserve while their owners are away. My background as a professional caregiver has taught me the importance of reliability, communication, and creating a safe environment for those in my care. I bring the same dedication to every pet I look after.
“I am a new Rover user and was nervous about entrusting my 8-month-old puppy to someone I didn't know. But Samantha exceeded expectations in many ways! She clearly loves dogs and was excited to meet my Yogi. She gave him a wonderful walk, made sure he had plenty of water, and even adjusted her schedule to meet our preferred timeline. Yogi was happy as a clam when we got home, and we are thrilled that we now have a reliable sitter to call for future needs.”

About: I’ve taken care of and loved all breeds of dogs since I was a child. Neighbors, friends, and family have relied on me to walk, feed, and care for their fur babies as they were my own. I have experience with large strong breeds and small dogs as well as seniors and pets with special needs. I am currently working part time as a healthcare professional in private practice from my home so I have plenty of time and flexibility to care for your pet. I offer check-ins, walks, and feeding of your pet in the safety of your own home and neighborhood. I pride myself on being a trusted member of society with excellent references.
“Natalia did a great job looking after my cats. They are shy but she did a good job finding them in their hiding spots, and she did a good job communicating with us while we were away.”

About: I've had cats and dogs my whole life and know how to make animals feel comfortable and cared for. I offer dog walking and cat boarding from my home in Yorktown Heights. Guest cats stay in their own private room with fresh food, water, and a clean litter box. For dog walking I keep things low stress, consistent, and fun. I work from home regularly so I'm around often and take every pet's routine seriously. I treat every animal like my own. I work from home frequently which means pets in my care are never left alone for long stretches. For dog walking I'm flexible on timing and can work around your schedule for morning, afternoon, or evening walks. For cat boarding, guest cats get visits multiple times a day including morning feeding, a midday check-in, and an evening wind-down with fresh food, clean water, and a scooped litter box. Weekends I'm generally very available and weekdays I can accommodate most requests with a little advance notice. I genuinely enjoy spending time with and meeting new animals so this isn't a job to me, it's a passion. I have a dog and two cats of my own so I know firsthand what animals need to feel safe and comfortable. Guest cats are kept in their own private, dedicated room completely separate from my resident pets, giving them a quiet space to decompress and settle in at their own pace. For dog walking I keep things calm and consistent, always on leash, through the safe residential streets of Yorktown Heights or local parks where my dog frequents himself. I pay close attention to each animal's personality and adjust my approach accordingly. Whether a pet is social and energetic or shy and cautious, I make sure they feel comfortable and cared for. My home is peaceful, clean, and genuinely pet friendly.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
