About: I've taken care of, owned, and loved dogs and cats my entire life. My friends and family often rely on me to care for their pets. I have volunteered at a local pet shelter, cleaning, playing with, and feeding dogs of a wide range of ages and with various medical needs. I can provide excellent care for all kinds of pets, including senior animals. I'm active, organized, and ready to adapt to any pet need! I currently work part-time, so I have flexibility and time to care for pets! I'm available weekdays or weekends from 9am-8pm. I can adjust my schedule either ahead of time or on a touch-and-go basis to fit what works best for you. I can tailor my approach based on your pet's specific needs and your personal preferences. I have a large, grassy yard for pets to play in; I keep an extremely close watch on them when they are outside; I play with them too and make sure they have fun! I usually let them out multiple times a day for however long I can be out there with them. Indoors, I have cozy couches, bean bags, and dog beds for all pets. I have a variety of food and healthy/dental treats. I know of plenty of walking trails and dog parks near me.
“Delphine provided excellent cat sitting services for Bill. She sent frequent updates and photos, keeping me reassured throughout. Bill was clearly well-cared for and happy in her care. Highly recommend!”

“Joseph always goes above and beyond as a pet sitter. He is an incredibly good communicator and I know that my dog is being well loved and taken care of under Joseph’s care. My dog is very active and still has lots of puppy energy, but Joseph remains patient with him and makes sure that my dog can safely get his energy out.”

“Jayna agreed to take care of my baby girl pretty short notice and was completely accommodating. She kept me in the loop to everything that happened which was very comforting and extremely appreciated! I will be booking her again for sure!”

“Alex was amazing. She always let us know how the kitties were doing, sent us pictures and let us know if she was going to be early or late. She has a tough assignment with 4 cats, all having to be fed seperately and 2 on medicine. She played with the ones willing to come out of hiding and she patiently worked on the scardey cats. We were able to enjoy our vacation and not worry. We will definitely have her come back again!”

Over the past 25+ years, I have shared my life with and cared for a wide variety of dogs, including Newfoundlands, Great Pyrenees, Labrador Retrievers, Chihuahuas, Jack Russell Terriers, and other terrier breeds. This experience has given me a deep appreciation for the unique personalities, temperaments, exercise needs, and communication styles of each dog. My experience includes: • Caring for giant, large, medium, and small breed dogs • Understanding breed-specific behaviors and energy levels • Providing safe, enjoyable walks tailored to each dog’s pace and needs • Reinforcing basic commands and positive behaviors • Managing multi-dog households • Administering medications and following special care instructions • Supporting senior dogs with patience and gentle attention • Caring for puppies and helping maintain routines and consistency • Recognizing signs of stress, discomfort, or illness • Providing plenty of affection, companionship, and individualized attention I believe every dog deserves to feel safe, understood, and loved. My goal is to make every walk and visit a positive experience that leaves both dogs and their owners feeling comfortable, confident, and cared for. Availability I currently offer midday walks on weekdays and am available for occasional overnight care. My goal is to help your pet feel comfortable, safe, and cared for while giving you peace of mind. For walks and outdoor playtime, dogs will be kept on leash unless they are within a securely fenced area or a pet containment system that has been discussed and approved in advance. Every dog and family has unique needs, and I am happy to discuss customized care arrangements to ensure your pet remains comfortable, safe, and well cared for.

About: I’ve been around dogs and cats since I could walk, so caring for animals has always felt second nature. I also volunteer as a dog walker, socializer, and trainer at Danbury Animal Welfare Society, where I work with dogs of different temperaments, energy levels, and needs. My style is calm, patient, and attentive, whether your dog needs a real exercise walk, your cat needs a quiet check-in, or your older pet just needs someone gentle and consistent. I know trusting someone with your pet and your home is a big deal, so I take reliability seriously. I’ll show up when I say I will, pay attention to your pet’s routine, and send clear updates so you know they’re safe, happy, and cared for. I currently work full time, but my evenings and weekends are often free. I’m a good fit for weekend walks, evening check-ins, drop-in visits, and occasional pet care when your regular routine needs extra support. Because I value reliability, I only accept bookings I know I can show up for fully and on time. I pay close attention to each pet’s body language, comfort level, routines, and boundaries, and I never force interactions with people, dogs, or unfamiliar situations. For walks, I keep dogs securely leashed, avoid unsafe areas, and adjust the pace to the dog’s age, energy, and temperament. I’m comfortable with shy, anxious, energetic, and older pets, and I believe patience and consistency go a long way. For drop-ins, I’ll respect your home, follow your instructions carefully, check food, water, litter, doors, and gates, and send clear updates so you know how your pet is doing.
About: I have had dogs and cats of my own and I have also worked in an animal hospital and done some wildlife rescue and of course pet care I am looking to assist with your pets to make it easier for you and your schedule and vacations or weekend trips or check ins. I currently have a job that I work remotely also. My complex does not allow dogs and that's unfortunate so I was hoping I can assist at your home with whatever details you provide me with.
“I am a new Rover user and was nervous about entrusting my 8-month-old puppy to someone I didn't know. But Samantha exceeded expectations in many ways! She clearly loves dogs and was excited to meet my Yogi. She gave him a wonderful walk, made sure he had plenty of water, and even adjusted her schedule to meet our preferred timeline. Yogi was happy as a clam when we got home, and we are thrilled that we now have a reliable sitter to call for future needs.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Ridgefield
So happy that Abby could help us out, again! Sailor gets very excited to see her! Abby is great at remembering new things and takes great care with our little guy! Sailor looked great upon return and I know Abby gives him lots of attn. and routine, which I appreciate very much! We don't go away often at all-- but needed to twice this summer! And I know having routines helps our dog not feel too anxious with us not here. So, again-- thanks for that, Abby! Thanks for the care and warmth you give Sailor when we are away!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Ridgefield with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
