About: Hi, I'm Alessandra! Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I cared for everything from turtles, a bird, hamsters, guinea pigs, and rabbits to two Golden Retrievers. Today, I have a cat and Golden Retriever of my own, so I know firsthand just how much our pets are a part of the family. As a Rover-user myself, I understand how important it is to find someone you genuinely trust to care for your pet. About: I have taken care of dogs ever since I was young, dog sitting for neighbors and family members! I have taken care of dogs of all sizes from 5lbs all the way to 75lbs! I am currently a 1st year student in the Physical Therapy program at Sacred Heart University. I am available to stop by between classes and am available most weekends as well! I feel comfortable and can easily crate dogs if needed, I prioritize the pets safety, whether that is taking them on walks or just stopping in for a quick visit, I will always make sure I am doing what is best for your pets!

About: I have loved and taken care of my 3 dogs during the past 10 years since they were puppies. In addition, I have also taken care of my friends' pets while they were traveling. I enjoy spoiling and caring for pets and will make sure they are happy. I'm currently working part-time time and I am available during a variety of times throughout the week to help care for your fur baby. Every day, I feed and walk my dogs in the morning and in the afternoon and spend time playing with them throughout the day. I regularly check if they need anything and make sure they get their medications on time. I will make sure to take care of my client pets in a caring manner similar to my own fur babies and follow all of my client's care instructions

About: I retired several years ago and love dogs. I have had dogs all my life and we currently are home to four beautiful dogs. I’ve seen everything you could expect with a dog and can handle any situation calmly and lovingly. I’m retired and looking for something to keep me occupied. I have a very flexible schedule and love dogs so I can be available at almost anytime you would need me. We have a large yard and quiet neighborhood on a culdesac. It’s perfect for walking and exploring. We are also close to the land trust for those extra special walks

About: I’ve grown up with animals of all kinds from as early as I can remember. Being the oldest of my siblings I was the first to have to take on the pet care chores, and this included both our dogs and our cats, and the other types of animals we had in our household. I have pet care experience with dogs and cats, as well as other pets too. When I moved out on my own with my previous partner (2012-2017) we had adopted three rescued cats, and I was the main administer of the diabetic cat’s insulin and late IV fluid treatments. My ex kept our cats in the split, but in 2018 I adopted my first dog completely on my own. She’s a rescue pit bull mix and now, with my current husband, she is joined by another rescued pit bull mix and a rescued cat. Last year we also adopted a red ear slider turtle off the street in Philadelphia and he now enjoys his aquatic terrarium with his guppy and pleco friends. In 2023 I briefly worked for a dog walking company in Ridgefield and was bit by one of the client’s dogs, unprovoked, and because of that I left the service after being blamed for the outburst and attack (despite telling the owners and the employer that the dog was getting increasingly aggressive with me and I wasn’t comfortable walking him anymore). It was the only time I had ever had an animal turn on me like that and it made me rethink working for a service where I wasn’t listened to or given proper protection. My husband and I have been Rover clients since we moved to Connecticut in 2023 and I am very happy to say we have never had a negative experience, which is why I have decided to lend my services to other pets and families in the area that are in need of an experienced pet caretaker. I am a professional actor so I have days that are marked off for auditions and work or rehearsals, however it is not a consistent time or place. I work throughout the Northeast, NYC, and the Mid Atlantic currently with my acting opportunities, but I am also open to short term travel as well. Because of that, my availability is very open some weeks and not as much on others, depending on what projects I am currently involved in and what the scheduling is like. I would love to spend more time your pets in my downtime and give them the attention they require, since mine are pretty saturated in it regularly. I have two dogs, which are extremely friendly and love other dogs, people, and cats! Our cat is very aloof so they wouldn’t be seen much in cases where pet sitting at my home is needed. Our yard is not fenced in but I am very accustomed to taking them out for walks, or having them leashed under my supervision in our yard. Because I live in Newtown, there are plenty of places to get some quality walks in, and we are also not far from open public dog parks either if that suits your furry friend! I also have my own car which I am more than comfortable transporting your pet in or coming to you for check ins or walks. Our dogs are up to date on vaccines so that is not a worry either, and I am diligent in making sure everyone has a great time when their friends (and our human friends) are over too!
