While we were gone, Claudia often sent us photos and updates so we'd know Maizie was doing well, and she even indicated on the day before our return that Maizie was looking forward to seeing us (which I certainly hoped would be the case, but didn't really know would be so true until I arrived to pick her up!) The visiting dogs are not confined and are free to mingle and find their own place to relax. There are ample dog beds, couches, human beds and floor space for lounging and sleeping. I especially appreciate that Ryan limits the number of dogs he boards at one time to a very small group, & makes sure they vibe well together beforehand. The living space Ryan and his boarders occupy is all on one level, which is great for my dog with arthritis. There is a wooded trail for walks adjoining the yard, and a guest bedroom if a dog needs some quiet alone time. I would HIGHLY recommend Ryan and I plan to use him again!”

About: Big or small, I love them all! As an avid pet-lover since a young age, I've spent all of my young, adult, and professional life around animals. I graduated from the University of Connecticut with a degree in Animal Science, so I am well versed in nutrition, anatomy, physiology, communication, and training and have since worked as a veterinary assistant in small animal clinics and as a caretaker for exotic animals. I've gained a lot of experience around dogs of various breeds as a foster parent for my local shelters, and I now raise two of my own (a mutt and a Border Collie!) that always keep me on my toes. I have experience with all ages, breeds, sizes, and needs and am comfortable administering medication if needed. I am available most weekdays as well as most weekends! I may limit the number of bookings I take on each day to allow to time care for my own, but my schedule is very flexible and I can work with you to find the best routine! I cannot currently bring any pets into my own home, but I am comfortable picking up and dropping off at your home with proper instruction. Additionally, I always double check that water is provided, they are securely crated if needed, and leashes/collars are properly secured/removed when we head out for walks.

She kept us totally up to date with Jack including plenty of photos. She made sure he ate because sometimes when we’re not home he doesn’t want to eat. She even stayed a bit longer with Jack knowing he would be alone the rest of the time. Jack fell in love with Kristina right away. Best of all, she braved the harsh weather and made it to the house to take care of Jack. Plenty of snow came down and she still made it to the house. The driveway was not plowed until the third day. I’m a genuine pet lover but due to travel have been unable to have my own so I love the opportunity to help others with their furry companions. About: I have taken care of many dogs since I was 14. I can take care of a high energy puppy who needs to get all of their energy out. I love spending time with older, calmer dogs as well who need just as much love. I am very on top of it when taking care of your pets and will make sure they get the best care possible. I also have experience with cats and can make sure they are as comfortable as possible. I am also very flexible in the type of care and the times you need! i’m not really busy during the summer so I have plenty of time to watch your pets. I do have a part-time restaurant job, but I only work once to twice a week. I have a big yard for your dog to roam around. I would need you to provide a crate or a leash for your pets.
About: I have taken care of many, many dogs. I can also come whenever and multiple times a day! No issue! I love playing with dogs just as much as I love taking care of them. I can take care of them at any time. Never too early or too late. I can come multiple times a day or just once! Whatever is needed. I ensure to always have them on leash and in a fenced area. If I am walking the dog and a car comes I ensure s/he is in between my legs. I can also crate the dog if needed.

“Maizie's stay with Claudia represented one of the first times we've ever left her for an extended time, and it sounds like she experienced some initial separation anxiety. However, my sense is that Claudia knew well how to deal with that, and Maizie did, indeed, adjust to her surroundings rather quickly after a day or so. While we were gone, Claudia often sent us photos and updates so we'd know Maizie was doing well, and she even indicated on the day before our return that Maizie was looking forward to seeing us (which I certainly hoped would be the case, but didn't really know would be so true until I arrived to pick her up!) Bottom line is that I would heartily endorse Claudia and happily use her services again when we need to leave town for our next vacation.”

“Ryan EXCEEDED my expectations! He has an intuitive way with dogs. He is very knowledgable about dogs & dog behavior. Ryan is the real deal-- a true animal lover & kind, decent human being. He communicated well with pics and updates during my dog's visit. During our initial meeting I felt an instant rapport he had with my dog that put me at ease. His home is VERY dog-centric! The visiting dogs are not confined and are free to mingle and find their own place to relax. There are ample dog beds, couches, human beds and floor space for lounging and sleeping. I especially appreciate that Ryan limits the number of dogs he boards at one time to a very small group, & makes sure they vibe well together beforehand. The living space Ryan and his boarders occupy is all on one level, which is great for my dog with arthritis. There is a wooded trail for walks adjoining the yard, and a guest bedroom if a dog needs some quiet alone time. I would HIGHLY recommend Ryan and I plan to use him again!”
