About: Big or small, I love them all! As an avid pet-lover since a young age, I've spent all of my young, adult, and professional life around animals. I graduated from the University of Connecticut with a degree in Animal Science, so I am well versed in nutrition, anatomy, physiology, communication, and training and have since worked as a veterinary assistant in small animal clinics and as a caretaker for exotic animals. I've gained a lot of experience around dogs of various breeds as a foster parent for my local shelters, and I now raise two of my own (a mutt and a Border Collie!) that always keep me on my toes. I have experience with all ages, breeds, sizes, and needs and am comfortable administering medication if needed. I am available most weekdays as well as most weekends! I may limit the number of bookings I take on each day to allow to time care for my own, but my schedule is very flexible and I can work with you to find the best routine! I cannot currently bring any pets into my own home, but I am comfortable picking up and dropping off at your home with proper instruction. Additionally, I always double check that water is provided, they are securely crated if needed, and leashes/collars are properly secured/removed when we head out for walks.
“Kim is wonderful —very reliable and caring. She always arrived on time and took great care of my pet. She even helped bring in my packages, which I really appreciated. I would definitely recommend her and book again.”

“Taylor is fantastic with our dog! She takes great care of her, is on time and communicates clearly about her visits! Cheez is always happy and calm when we come home from her time with Taylor and we love that we have someone we can trust to care for her while we’re away!”

“Betsey did a great job with my kitties. My cats are older so need some special accommodations and she was great with them. She kept me informed about what was happening at home and was responsive when I had questions or requests while I was away. Would definitely book again.”

About: Hi! I’ve been a dog lover for as long as I can remember, and I’m the proud mom of Sofi, my 6-year-old Jack Russell/Chihuahua mix. She’s a sweet but (incredibly) stubborn little rescue who has shown me how important patience is in dog care and how to meet the needs of dogs with unique personalities. I believe every dog deserves a day filled with exercise, fun, and positive interactions, so I make sure our walks are engaging, our playtime is full of tail wags, and that your pup feels safe and happy. From long hikes to park adventures, playdates, or even medication administration, I care for every dog like they’re my own. You’ll also get regular photo, video, and text updates so you can relax knowing your pup is in good hands. Outside of my usual work schedule, I’m available mornings, afternoons, evenings, and even sometimes for last-minute bookings. I do have some flexibility and can sometimes move things around. Your dog’s safety and happiness always come first. I will tailor our walks/play to ensure that we steer clear of unsafe areas/situations, always have water available, and I give them my undivided attention. If I’m caring for your dog at home, I’ll stick to their routine, follow your instructions exactly, and leave your place just as I found it. Whether your dog is shy, energetic, or somewhere in between, I meet them where they’re at - with patience, care, and plenty of love!
About: I treat every pet like they're part of my own family. I provide reliable, personalized care based on each pet's unique personality, routine, and needs. Whether it's daily walks, drop-in visits, overnight stays, or extra cuddle time, my goal is to keep pets happy, comfortable, and stress-free while you're away. I'm experienced with puppies, including reinforcing basic training and maintaining consistent routines, as well as caring for senior pets who may need a gentler pace, medication reminders, or extra patience and attention. I believe in clear communication that allows for peace of mind knowing your pet is in loving, dependable hands. I have a fully flexible schedule over the summer months July and August; Monday-Sunday. September-June, I am available Monday-Friday from 3:30 P.M. on ( I could do a drop by feeding prior to 6 A.M. only) and have full availability Saturday and Sunday’s. As a pet owner myself, I know how important it is to find someone you can trust with your furry family members. I care for every pet as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you're away. I stick closely to your pet's normal routine, whether that means feeding, walks, playtime, cuddle time, administering medications if needed, or simply providing calm companionship. I understand that every pet is different, so I take the time to learn their personality and what makes them happiest. During each visit, I'll refresh food and water, clean up after your pet, keep litter boxes clean, and make sure your home is left just as I found it. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, young, or a senior, my goal is to give them the same patience, attention, and love I give my own pets, so you can travel or work with complete peace of mind.
About: Im comfortable working with friendly dogs of different ages, including puppies who need extra attention and older dogs who may need a slower, more gentle approach. Plus, my dog is very friendly and enjoys the company, which can help other dogs feel more comfortable and social. I’m currently in school for ultrasound, so with my full-time schedule, I’ve been looking for a flexible way to earn some extra income. I really enjoy walking my dog, and I’m interested in turning that into a small business to help others who need dog walking services while also building connections with other dogs. My dog is very friendly and would definitely enjoy the extra company. I care for pets in both my home and my client’s home, depending on the service. I make sure they have a safe, clean space, follow their feeding and walking routines, and give them plenty of attention. When I’m in a client’s home, I follow all instructions closely to keep their pet comfortable and cared for.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs overnight and have attended them throughout the day. I feel comfortable administering meds as well. My family has always fostered dogs and cats so I have gained lots of confidence, great instincts and trust with my furry friends. Pet care has always been a passion of mine. I have a very flexible schedule as I go to school online and work remotely fulltime. If you book me, I am cognizant of my schedule and very punctual. I love to keep them moving whether it’s playing inside or outside. Snuggles and cuddles are always welcome. I prefer to follow the expectations based on the owners preference.

About: Hello, I am an empty nester and mom of two independent children and have received immense enjoyment and fulfillment from petsitting. Since then- I have enjoyed getting close to my clients dogs. I do walks/feedings and also board clients dogs at my home when they are away. Physical fitness is important to me so I enjoy walking or hiking the dogs I care for ! I work a small amount of part time hours so am home a good deal. Your loved one will receive lots of attention ! Excellent references are available if you require. Thank you, Linda
“Jocelyn did a fantastic job with drop in visits for our cats Cacio and Pepe. She covered all their basic needs and favorite things on each visit. She even cleaned up when one of our cats got sick. Loved receiving photos each time she finished a check in! Would definitely book again in a heartbeat.”

About: I have taken care of many dogs since I was 14. I can take care of a high energy puppy who needs to get all of their energy out. I love spending time with older, calmer dogs as well who need just as much love. I am very on top of it when taking care of your pets and will make sure they get the best care possible. I also have experience with cats and can make sure they are as comfortable as possible. I am also very flexible in the type of care and the times you need! i’m not really busy during the summer so I have plenty of time to watch your pets. I do have a part-time restaurant job, but I only work once to twice a week. I have a big yard for your dog to roam around. I would need you to provide a crate or a leash for your pets.
“Dani is great -- my dog loves her! She's communicative, trustworthy, knowledgeable, and clearly loves dogs. She takes great care and even sent me a photo of something she noticed on my dog, which I truly appreciated. I can relax knowing my dog is in great hands with Dani!”

“Avery did a great job with our puppy Milo. He is just now learning how to walk on a leash. She persisted and took him to walk a couple of times. He is a little stubborn so I appreciate the effort to get him going!”

About: I’ve taken care and grown up with different kinds of dogs all my life. I can handle multiple dogs. Fun fact: My family has five dogs and six cats! I currently have a pretty flexible schedule and can usually accommodate a variety of times throughout the week. Although I work part time, I make pet care a priority and always make sure pets get the attention, care, and consistency they need while you’re away. I have experience caring for dogs of different sizes and personalities, and I always focus on creating a safe, calm, and comfortable environment for them. I also have access to a fenced yard if needed, and I make sure every pet gets plenty of attention, supervision, exercise, and care while they’re with me.
About: I have been around dogs my whole life and have extensive experience with friends, family, and my own dogs! What sets me apart is the personalized care and attention I give to every dog, treating them like part of my own family. I have experience working with dogs of all ages, from playful puppies to wise seniors. I am reliable and easily adapt to your dogs needs, whether that includes extra play time or gentle care. I am extremely attentive and focus on building trust—with both pets and their humans—so you can feel completely confident and at ease while you're away. I am currently a graduate student at Sacred Heart University. I am studying to get my doctorate in physical therapy. I am unable to work a full time job due to my rigorous class schedule and am hoping to earn some extra money through pet services. I am able to dog sit during the weekends and can offer dog walking or short pet care services in between or after my classes during the week. My top priority is creating a safe, calm, and loving environment that feels familiar and comfortable for each pet. I stick closely to their usual routines—feeding schedules, walk times, and playtime to reduce stress and keep them happy while you're away. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I’m respectful of your space and follow all instructions to the letter—from administering medication to reinforcing routines. I provide regular updates and photos so you always know how your pet is doing.
“I use Tatiana regularly to care for my kitty Bella. Recently I had to be away for 2 weeks. Bella loves Tatiana and was relaxed and happy the whole time I was gone. Tatiana goes above and beyond to ensure I have peace of mind when I have to be away and to be sure Bella has everything she needs!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Easton
I cannot sing enough praises, truly. My cat is already not the easiest to sit for, as he gets very anxious when we're away, but the difficulty of this particular cat-sitting gig was unexpectedly exacerbated when he injured his eye two days before our trip, and now needed two medications administered twice a day. To say that I was in knots is an understatement, but Cat--who had not given eye drops and ointment before!--was calm, communicative, and took incredible care of our boy. Every visit came with adorable photos, and Cat was always quick to answer questions or provide updates. I'm so incredibly grateful for her cat-sitting services, and would strongly encourage anyone with a cat to book with her!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
