“Liv is professional, trustworthy and clearly loves animals. She came over to meet us first, and went out of her way to make sure she became familiar with our two dogs, Ace and Penny. Liv handled our older dog so well, even though he tends to be anxious and doesn’t love meeting new people. Liv definitely won Ace over quickly, which put my mind at ease even before we left. Liv arrived on time for each visit and spent a lot of time caring for our fur babies. She sent daily updates with photos, so I truly never worried. I know that my dogs were well cared for in our absence. We will definitely be asking Liv to come back and highly recommend her to any pet parent looking for trustworthy care! Thank you, Liv, for making our first time using Rover such a great experience!”

About: Big dogs and little dogs are all happy dogs. I enjoy taking care of and spending time with animals. I have had experience since my childhood I will be more active in my life physically walking them and taking care of them. It’s a perfect job cute animals and taking care of them for money. It’s perfect. I will take the best care of your pet at your home. Just let me know if they need something or have a certain routine and I got it!
About: I have been surrounded by animals for most of my life and truly believe they are some of the most loyal and loving companions. I currently have a 16-year-old Papillon, and I was blessed to have my Pit Bull for 13 wonderful years before she passed away last year. Caring for senior dogs has taught me patience, attentiveness, and the importance of providing gentle, loving care. I also have experience caring for my sister’s two Bengal cats, whom I lived with and helped care for over the course of two years. This has given me experience with both dogs and cats and an understanding that every pet has a unique personality and needs. In addition, I worked at Dogtopia, where I cared for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. That experience strengthened my ability to multitask, remain calm in busy environments, and ensure every dog received the attention, affection, and care they deserved. During the school year, I work as a substitute teacher, which gives me a flexible schedule. I adapt quickly to new routines and understand how important it is for pet owners to know their furry family members are in safe, caring hands. When caring for your pets, I will treat them as if they were my own—with patience, kindness, respect, and lots of love. Whether it’s going for walks, playing, cuddling on the couch, or simply keeping them company, my goal is to make them feel comfortable, happy, and loved while you’re away. I’ll also treat your home with the same care and respect that I would expect for my own. I’m a substitute teacher during the school year, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to make time for walks, playtime, cuddles, and making sure pets feel comfortable and cared for. My day usually starts at 5:30am or 6:00am and ends by 4pm, with my weekends being free and many holidays off. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow all instructions exactly as provided to ensure their routine stays consistent and stress-free. I’m very neat, organized, and respectful of the home, and I always treat it as if it were my own. I make sure doors and gates are securely closed at all times, keep a close eye on pets when they’re outside, and stay alert for any wildlife or other potential hazards. My goal is to keep pets safe, comfortable, and happy while maintaining a clean and well-cared-for home environment.
About: While I'm newer to pet sitting, I spent 15 years caring for my own dog and understand the responsibility, patience, and attention that every pet deserves. I love being outdoors myself, going on long walks, and staying active, so I'm happy to give energetic dogs the exercise and attention they need. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I'll provide dependable care and regular updates while you're away! I'm a college student and coach, so my mornings and early afternoons are usually busy. However, I have the rest of my afternoons and evenings free, which allows me to provide reliable walks, drop-in visits, or quality time with your dog. I'm happy to fit pet care into my routine and make sure your pet gets the attention, exercise, and care they deserve. When caring for pets, my priority is making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while sticking to their normal routine as much as possible. Having cared for my own large, energetic dog for many years, I understand the importance of supervision, patience, and making sure they get the exercise, attention, and care they need. In a client's home, I'll follow your pet's routine closely, including feeding, walks, playtime, medications (if needed), and any specific instructions you provide. I'll also make sure your home is treated with respect and keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind while you're away.

I provide regular updates and photos so you always know how your pet is doing.

“Annabelle is quick to respond and was able to do a drop-in visit for me without a lot of notice. She was great at updating me on the visit and I will definitely be using her again.”

“Madalys was amazing with our cat. She was quick to respond and arranged a meeting with us before booking. We could tell she really payed attention to what we asked of her. She even took notes to be sure. She was very patient with our cat and didn’t pressure her to open up which I really appreciate!”

About: Prior to moving towns I used to pet sit for all of my neighbors. Pets large and small, it didn’t matter but it was always fun. I’m starting my MBA next fall so anything earned on here will go towards that goal of mine! I’ve owned pets for over 12 years and have been taking care of others for 6 so almost all throughout high school and undergrad. I can walk multiple dogs at once, great with elderly animals, experienced with puppies, able to administer pet medication, etc. If you have questions reach out! Currently I am taking two online summer courses for my MBA with Sacred Heart University. I go to the gym 4 times a week and work drop in bartending shifts sometimes on weekends. Since I make my own schedule pet care fits very well into it because I can tailor mine to fit the animals needs! I don’t offer in home care at the moment because my sister recently got hip surgery so I’m waiting until she’s more comfortable to have other peoples pets at home. Otherwise I have two sweet dogs who have coexisted well with pets that I’ve taken care of in the past as well as cats they stay in their own room.

About: I’ve taken care and grown up with different kinds of dogs all my life. I can handle multiple dogs. Fun fact: My family has five dogs and six cats! I currently have a pretty flexible schedule and can usually accommodate a variety of times throughout the week. Although I work part time, I make pet care a priority and always make sure pets get the attention, care, and consistency they need while you’re away. I have experience caring for dogs of different sizes and personalities, and I always focus on creating a safe, calm, and comfortable environment for them. I also have access to a fenced yard if needed, and I make sure every pet gets plenty of attention, supervision, exercise, and care while they’re with me.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
