About: I’m a college student at Sacred Heart University, and I have had a dog for as long as I can remember. I love caring for dogs and giving them the love and attention that they deserve. I am able to provide many different activities for the dog (see below) and make sure that their needs are met to the best they can be. Something that separates me from other walkers/sitters is that I have been training my own psychiatric service dog for over 3 years. I have minimal dog training and know how to handle dogs in a variety of different ways. As I am a full time college student, my schedule differs from week to week. I am free every weekend, and I am most free on Monday’s, Wednesday’s and Friday’s I have two other friendly dogs, both about 30 pounds, Australian Labradoodles. Someone is almost always home, and we have a crate so we can crate the dog if needed. We have a very big backyard (about 2 acres) where the dog can run. Please note that the backyard is not fenced as we have an invisible fence.

“I do not think it is an exaggeration to say that Maria loves dogs more than kiddos - and this is a woman who has been hailed as a phenomenal nanny by several families over the last several years. Many people will ask to pet new dogs that they meet, but Maria truly falls in love with every single one. In fact this is true of all animals, but she does have a special place in her heart for doggos. I probably do not have space to write all the stories I could about this part of her life, but here are a few. In addition to the dogs she has cared for while nannying (5 in total), she has had no less than 4 dogs of her own. She has raised newborn puppies, and she has rescued dogs (and cats) that she found abandoned in the street, or that were left by families that could no longer care for them. In fact just the other day she turned the car around when she believed she saw a dog being tied to a pole on the side of the road, but thankfully the owner was only taking a rest and did stay with the animal the entire time. Maria is from Colombia, which has a complicated dog culture. There is an abundance of dogs throughout the country, but they are not always well cared for, and many end up as strays. I personally witnessed her nurture a hungry stray dog while staying at a fancy resort. While the proprietors tried to shoo the animal, thinking it was being bothersome, Maria was actually encouraging the dog to approach. She then calmed him into trusting her so that she could give him some food and water, and he later followed us to our cabana and slept outside. We currently have two dogs in our family, and if I didn’t see it with my own eyes every day, I would not believe two dogs could ever be this happy and comfortable. She does not simply provide them food and water. She rolls around and plays with them whenever they bring her one of their favorite toys, and she lays down with them on whatever surface of the house suits them in the moment. They have so many choices, with 3 beds of their own, a comfy couch and ottoman, and even occasionally our own bed. She bathes them, grooms them, cleans their teeth, and even paints their nails (yes really!). To them, I may be one of their “humans”, but she is truly a part of their pack. Arya, Kathy (our mini French poodles), and Maria would love a chance to share their love with the special furry member of your family, and I promise they will be so very well cared for!!”

About: I have had my business for a little bit over 8 years , I dedicate myself to them I volunteer at the shelters . I have had animals all my life, but after the passing of my last dog, I decided to take my time and dedicate my time to other peoples animals. I named my small business Dakota I dedicate myself to each and I do not take two at a time for a walk or be just that one I play with them cuddle with them if needed. If they’re like hiking long walks that’s what I do I don’t just take them for short walks . I’m available morning afternoon evening holidays, weekends I know life is crazy if you can’t make it home on time to feed them or walk them I'm the girl to call, I’m available 24 seven I’m just a call or text away . About: Extensive experience in training, exercise and overall care. I've studied the biology of dogs as a species to understand their unique needs for overall well-being. I have ample flexibility and time during the weekend and select days during the week with sufficient notice. I can create custom care routines as required. I will customize each routine to the specific needs of the pet and owner. In either my home or the pet owner's home, I will be sure to observe the specific requirements of the owner so the pet is provided optimal care.

About: I have a ton of experience caring for dogs, cats, and other animals after years of pet sitting and working on a nearby farm. Having a dog at home, I have experienced things like training, bathing, walking, and more. I would love to meet lots of new animals! I am a college student, so I have lots of availability in summer and over breaks. I tend to have a good amount of free time each day to take care of your pets! At home, I have a two year old Samoyed who loves all dogs, and can get along with cats as well. In the house, I can separate my dog if needed.
