“Christina was wonderful! My pup had an unexpected eye injury before we left town and that required drops twice a day, and she handled the added responsibility like a champ. She was patient, willing, and successful with the drops, which gave me tremendous peace of mind. She also sent photos and regular updates throughout the stay. Christina is kind, caring, mindful, and clearly attentive to the pets in her care. I would absolutely trust her to watch my pets again and look forward to working with her again soon.”

“Destiny was a great sitter for my aging pup. She kept me well informed as to what they were doing, her walks, play and rest. She followed my instructions, sent photos and responded to any questions I had while away. My house was clean and well cared for, too. My dog, who usually gets very sad when I'm away, was happy and her regular self when I returned. I would definitely recommend!”

“She stayed at my house and took care of my dog she did a fantastic job! I am so pleased with her! She made sure she didn’t leave a mess in my house and took pictures of the dog all the time it was great I am so pleased I would definitely use her again”

“We were extremely satisfied with Sam’s care of our 15-month-old Chihuahua, Max. He is very active and requires a lot of attention, and I left Sam with quite a few notes about his care, including administering his ear drops. She followed everything perfectly and took excellent care of him while staying in our home. Sam was responsible, attentive, and clearly wonderful with Max. She also left our home absolutely spotless, which we really appreciated. We will definitely be rebooking her services and highly recommend Sam to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter!”

“Tatiana looked after our dog Delilah whilst we were in England for a week. She did a truly wonderful job- taking great care of Delilah and of our house and kept in touch with the loveliest photos and videos. I cannot recommend her highly enough.”

“Joseph always goes above and beyond when taking care of Otis! My dog is so comfortable with him & Joseph sends lots of updates to let me know how it’s going while I’m away. He’s a great sitter!”

About: Growing up with cats and various household pets, and loving dogs all my life has lead me to care and appreciate pets into my adult life. On Fridays and weekends I am also available for over night care as needed. In your home I will abide by all rules and routines you may have already. I can also ensure consistent care and attention to your pet’s needs.
“Valeria stayed with our Chancey for a full week. She sent frequent updates of their walks and play together. Apart from taking such great care of Chance, she communicated very well when there was an issue with our ACs. She also went above and beyond to ensure we returned to a tidy house. Thank you Valeria, we are lucky that we can count on you with our fur baby 🐕.”

About: I’ve taken care of Cats and Dogs growing up. Some of my best memories came from my Yorkie-Terrior named Billy and Beagle named Ruby. Bonding with your pets is such an invaluable experience that can be life-changing for all those involved. Currently between jobs, searching for part time work. I’ll have loads of time to provide quality care for your precious pets. I’m available for House Sitting, Drop-In/Out visits and Walks. :) I follow instructions listed by each client to the T. I take my time to read carefully written instructions. I may ask for clarification on any request, solely to ensure I know the best way to properly look after, walk and take care of each pet, (family member,) as if they were my own.
“Katie was AWESOME!! She was extremely professional and our family fell in love with her right away...especially our dog. She sent us pictures and videos while we were away and we were stress free during our vacation knowing that our dog was in great hands. We are definitely going to book with Katie again!!!!”

“Wendy did an amazing job caring for our beloved beagle Daisy yesterday -- texting us updates on how things were going and even sending us a few photos. She is a great influence on our feisty beagle, and we could see how happy Daisy is to spend time with her. Friendly, responsible, attentive to Daisy's needs, we are 100 percent thrilled, and look forward to booking another session again soon. We are thrilled to have found such a wonderful dog-sitter through Rover.com!”

“Alex is a superb, very professional dog sitter. He clearly loves animals and puts them immediately at ease-- he also left our house neat and tidy as though no one had been here. Didn't think twice about the safety of our very large dogs in his care, highly recommend!”

About: I’ve cared for a wide variety of dogs and cats, including pit bulls, golden retrievers, poodles, senior dogs, and tabby cats. I’ve also cared for pets with medication and dietary needs, including both oral and injectable medications. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for while you’re away. Whether that means a long walk, plenty of play and attention, sticking closely to their feeding routine, or simply giving a nervous or senior pet some extra patience, I’m happy to adapt to their individual needs. I’ll keep you updated with how your pet is doing and treat your pet with the same care and attention I’d want for my own. I currently work evening shifts at my family’s restaurant in Darien, so I’m generally available for pet care during the mornings and afternoons, as well as some evenings. My work schedule does not interfere with housesitting, and I’m able to provide attentive care throughout the day and overnight. For walks and drop-in visits, I’m happy to work around my evening schedule and coordinate times that work best for you and your pet. I have a fenced-in yard and a very docile and friendly golden retriever. She’s 11 and gets along with every animal she meets. When taking care of a pet at client’s homes, I prioritize leaving it in the same or better condition than I found it.
“We had a great experience with our sitters! They were very communicative, sent lots of pictures of Abby, and even shoveled when it snowed. They truly went above and beyond, and we would highly recommend them!”

“Carli was wonderful while watching our dog! She was communicative, proactive, and attentive, making sure that our dog Lucky was well taken care of. Would definitely want to ask Carli back, we’re very grateful!”

“Katherine is amazing! She is a loving caregiver who immediately bonded with my cat and my dog. My cat is often wary, but could immediately sense her loving presence. Katherine is also incredibly responsible, mature and responsive - from responding to texts, understanding my needs, and leaving my house in better shape than she found it. It is a gift to find someone who allows me to relax and not worry about a thing while I’m away - that is my experience with Katherine!”

“Cotter was great with our two dogs! He helped us out in a crunch over the holiday weekend, was extremely responsive and provided a ton of updates. Our dogs were very comfortable with him, we will definitely be using him again in the future. Thank you Cotter!”

Christina was wonderful with my dog, Toby, and my cat, Blue. I felt completely comfortable leaving them in her care for the week, knowing she would take excellent care of them. The daily pictures of their happy faces only reinforced my confidence in her. I also came home to happy plants and a house that was exactly as I had left it. And as if that weren’t enough, Christina even left us a homemade key lime pie in the freezer to enjoy when we returned, and it was out-of-this-world delicious. Christina brings so much care and thoughtfulness to her work, and we are so appreciative of her time. I would absolutely recommend her.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Weston walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Weston maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Weston choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Weston. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
