About: I will take care of your dog(s) as my own! I have been pet sitting since my college years and now I am happy to offer a great family environment for your pets at my home. I have a friendly Golden Retriever and a large fenced yard for the dogs to play and explore. I am full time stay at home mom and I am always watching the dogs. They are cared for in a family setting, roaming free around the house, the ones who are boarded spend dinner time and evening time cuddling and watching movies with us. They are included in everything we do around the house, brushed and cleaned daily, and spend a lot of time playing outdoors. I love all breeds, but currently taking care of medium to large dogs, family friendly breeds only. We live in a quiet residential area, so please be respectful of the neighborhood. Please know that: - Drop off and pick up hours are 8am-7pm by appointment only. - No Saturday drop offs and pickups in respect for our family time. - Boarding is 2 nights minimum; 3 nights on holiday weekends. - Daycare must be on recurring weekdays, no daycare on weekends. - We offer discounted rates for long-term stays. - Calendar is always updated up to 6 months ahead. Trust and safety of your dog(s) are my top priorities as I know what it takes boarding my own dog while away. - I have a fully fenced yard and a few designated dog areas in my home to play and sleep. - My lawn is treated for ticks seasonally with pet safe materials. - I only board family friendly breeds for the safety of everyone. - Rough play is not allowed in my home. - Dogs do not leave property while boarded; they get to play in the yard all day. - They don’t get to interact with any dogs that are not personally known by me. - No table food is offered unless specifically agreed with owner. - Each dog sleeps on their own bed in a separate gated area at night, unless they are from the same family. - The orthopedic dog beds are washed after each boarding. - The yard is kept clean of doggy poop at all times.

However, upon having our meet and greet prior to booking our stay, we knew Indiana would be in good hands. When we went to pick him up it was clear that he had had a wonderful stay with Nikki, Alexa, and Emmett; the only thing Indiana wanted to do at home was sleep so we know he definitely got plenty of play and love. “I do not think it is an exaggeration to say that Maria loves dogs more than kiddos - and this is a woman who has been hailed as a phenomenal nanny by several families over the last several years. Many people will ask to pet new dogs that they meet, but Maria truly falls in love with every single one. In fact this is true of all animals, but she does have a special place in her heart for doggos. I probably do not have space to write all the stories I could about this part of her life, but here are a few. In addition to the dogs she has cared for while nannying (5 in total), she has had no less than 4 dogs of her own. She has raised newborn puppies, and she has rescued dogs (and cats) that she found abandoned in the street, or that were left by families that could no longer care for them. In fact just the other day she turned the car around when she believed she saw a dog being tied to a pole on the side of the road, but thankfully the owner was only taking a rest and did stay with the animal the entire time. Maria is from Colombia, which has a complicated dog culture. There is an abundance of dogs throughout the country, but they are not always well cared for, and many end up as strays. I personally witnessed her nurture a hungry stray dog while staying at a fancy resort. While the proprietors tried to shoo the animal, thinking it was being bothersome, Maria was actually encouraging the dog to approach. She then calmed him into trusting her so that she could give him some food and water, and he later followed us to our cabana and slept outside. We currently have two dogs in our family, and if I didn’t see it with my own eyes every day, I would not believe two dogs could ever be this happy and comfortable. She does not simply provide them food and water. She rolls around and plays with them whenever they bring her one of their favorite toys, and she lays down with them on whatever surface of the house suits them in the moment. They have so many choices, with 3 beds of their own, a comfy couch and ottoman, and even occasionally our own bed. She bathes them, grooms them, cleans their teeth, and even paints their nails (yes really!). To them, I may be one of their “humans”, but she is truly a part of their pack. Arya, Kathy (our mini French poodles), and Maria would love a chance to share their love with the special furry member of your family, and I promise they will be so very well cared for!!”
