About: I am a student at Fairfield University with a very flexible schedule and have always had a huge love for dogs. My family has always had at least two dogs, and we currently have three, so caring for dogs has always been a big part of my life. Two summers ago, I fostered a mini pit bull mix and took her training, socialization, and care very seriously until she ultimately found her forever home. Since then, I have continued working with dogs by volunteering at my local animal shelter, where I take dogs out for the day so they can get some much-needed exercise, playtime, and attention. I am comfortable with dogs of different personalities and energy levels, and I would love the opportunity to care for your dog like they are one of my own! I am a student, but my classes are scattered throughout the week, which gives me a lot of flexibility in my schedule. Most days, I am able to find time between classes to stop in, let your dog out and go for a walk. I am also available for overnight stays when my schedule permits and can work with you to make sure your dog’s routine stays as consistent as possible. I am not able to have dogs stay at my college house, but I am happy to provide care and overnight stays in your home. I will follow your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding, walks, playtime, medications if needed, and any specific instructions you provide. I will also make sure they get plenty of attention and are always in a safe and comfortable environment.

About: I retired several years ago and love dogs. I have had dogs all my life and we currently are home to four beautiful dogs. I’ve seen everything you could expect with a dog and can handle any situation calmly and lovingly. I’m retired and looking for something to keep me occupied. I have a very flexible schedule and love dogs so I can be available at almost anytime you would need me. We have a large yard and quiet neighborhood on a culdesac. It’s perfect for walking and exploring. We are also close to the land trust for those extra special walks

About: Dogs have always been a huge part of my life. Growing up, I helped care for my family’s Shih Tzu, Kelly, who lived a long life and gave me experience caring for an older dog and understanding the extra patience and attention senior pets need. More recently, I had my Frenchie, Tyson, who recently passed away. We spent so much time together going on daily 3-mile walks, cuddling, playing, and simply enjoying each other’s company. In my home, pets will have lots of attention, supervised outdoor time, and space to relax. We have a small fenced-in yard, and I love spending time outside with dogs for fresh air, playtime, and walks. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I’m happy to follow their normal routine and any instructions they provide to help their pet feel comfortable and secure. If crating is part of their routine, I’m comfortable using a crate both in my home or the client’s home when needed. About: From puppies, to kittens, to lizards, I’ve been surrounded by animals for my whole life. I’ve always had a love for dogs! From playing to cuddling, they’re overall the best! I’m in my second year of PA school and I live at home with my parents and 3 siblings, we all love animals and spend time with the pets we pet sit! I have a fenced in yard with tons of space and live at the end of a quite street, if you’re pet does not do well with other pets that’ll never be a problem since there are no other dogs being walked on our street.

About: Socialized dogs will absolutely have a great time staying with me as we spend time at the dog park and make new friends! High energy pups are my favorite as I'm a long distance runner and can handle extended walks/runs with your buddy. I've had 3 years experience at dog kennels and was responsible for monitoring group play of up to 20 dogs in one yard. Puppy group play was my favorite and most intensive role as I was trained to recognize dog body language and maintain safety when pups were getting too ruff. During my time in kennels, I also was able to provide scheduled feedings and administer oral medications daily. My family owns an elderly dog with arthritis, and during cold months I am willing to carry dogs up/down stairs to avoid slips on snow/ice. During a long-term stay I will gladly spend time with your pooch for walks, play time and socializing, naps, massages, and feedings. Observing dog behavior during each of these parts of our day is important to me. This allows me have a detailed report of your pet's stay when you return. Keeping track of any behavioral, digestive, or sleep-related issues is always made a top priority for my guests. I typically begin my day with walking any dogs that are staying overnight with me, could be at the dog park, then feeding them, and then heading out for 1-2 hours to walk my regular clients on weekdays. With winter approaching, we may need to minimize time spent on walks during heavy snow/rain. However, larger breeds who can handle snow days are encouraged to stay with me for extended outdoor play. It's very important to me to establish trust with new dogs at their own pace. This is easily done by giving the typical commands and rewarding with treats, as well as affirming trust on leashed walks. In my apartment building there are other dogs who live on my floor, and I'm very vigilant about who is in the hallway or stairwells when I am taking a dog outside. Within my apartment unit, your pet can freely relax on the couch or large rugs I have. Smaller breeds are also welcome to relax on my bed along with me when its time to sleep. I do my best to keep dogs calm and like to be hands on with lots of belly rubs and ear scratching as most dogs seem to really enjoy that. Its also important to me to clean my apartment before and after I have pets staying overnight.

I received an associate veterinary degree earlier in life and have had a passion for animals all my life. I have always owned dogs until I had to put down my last dog- a Weimeraner. Since then- I have enjoyed getting close to my clients dogs. I do walks/feedings and also board clients dogs at my home when they are away.
