About: I have been caring for my clients dogs for over 10 years. I love walking and playing with all animals. I also have my own dog who can be a companion if your dog needs a playmate. I am a fulltime dog walker, have a very flexible schedule and can generally be available on short notice for drop-ins and walks or even on hikes! I am also available for overnight dog/house sitting! All services will be at my clients houses or in their neighborhoods for walks. This allows dogs to be in environments that they are already comfortable with while meeting somebody new.
“Annabel did a great job for my 2 cats while I was away for a week. She sent great pictures and even cleaned up when they got into a treat bag one day. Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve grown up with pets my whole life — four dogs, a cat, hamsters, and even reptiles, so I’m comfortable with a wide range of animals and personalities. Since I was 10 I’ve taken care of neighborhood dogs, from quick walks to full days of care while owners were away. I’m patient, attentive, and treat every pet like my own. I’m currently home for the summer with a flexible schedule, so I can offer consistent care — whether it’s a single walk, daily drop-ins, or a longer house sit. I always leave the home exactly as I found it. I’m currently home for the summer with a flexible part-time schedule, so I have plenty of availability for walks, drop-ins, or boarding. I’m generally available afternoons, evenings, and weekends, and can often accommodate short-notice requests as well. I’m not able to host pets at my own home, so I focus on drop-in visits, walks, and house sitting at the owner’s home. When caring for pets in their own environment, I follow the owner’s routines and instructions closely, make sure all doors and gates are secure, and keep a close eye on the pet at all times to ensure their safety and comfort.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs ever since I was 9 years old. I’ve had two dogs that my sisters and I took care of making sure they got along well and played with each other. I’ve also taken care of my neighbors dogs while they were away on vacation. I’m currently on a long winter break from college, so I’ll have plenty of free time to care for your dogs! I have open availability from 11am to 8pm Monday through Friday, and open availability 10am to 9:30pm Saturday and Sunday. I can care for pets in a client’s home by abiding by a walking and feeding schedule, as well as playing with the pets and giving them lots of love.
“Molly was great with Bella! Communication was on point (quick responses and always confirmed a day before), received cute photos of Bella playing in the backyard, seems like they had the best time! Would absolutely trust Molly again with my dog!”

About: I love animals, especially dogs. They bring me joy and I wish to keep them safe and sound for you. They are my family too Currently working Mon- Friday 8-5pm, willing to do weekends and if necessary, weekdays but please contact ahead of time as I work 30 mins away. My husky lives at my parents house with a fenced yard, since my place doesn’t accept large dogs. He is well cared for and loved
About: Whether you need a simple walk, overnight care, or more specialized services (like drop-in visits for feeding and playtime), I offer a variety of flexible options to fit your dog’s routine and your schedule. I know how important it is to stay connected while you’re away, so I send regular updates, photos, and videos so you can see your dog enjoying their time, knowing they're in great hands. I currently have a rather flexible schedule because I only work freelance so I can make plenty of time for your pets and their needs. When I care for pets at your home, I make sure to stick to your pet's usual schedule—whether that’s feeding, walking, or playtime. This routine consistency helps reduce stress and keeps them comfortable in their familiar environment.

“Melanie has been a very reliable sitter for Bear. She’s been very flexible and showed up last minute when I really needed someone to help with him. I always come home to a happy puppy, highly recommend!”

About: I have cared for dogs my entire life and have experience with dogs of different ages and needs. I am dependable, attentive, and passionate about animal care. I enjoy spending time with dogs and ensuring they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I currently work from home so I have a lot of free time. Why not spend time with furry friends! It’s also a great opportunity to take a breather and get fresh air during daily dog walks. When caring for pets in a client's home, I ensure that their daily routines are maintained to keep them comfortable and stress-free. I also make sure the home remains clean and secure while providing pets with plenty of attention, affection, and companionship. I am attentive to each pet's individual needs and committed to creating a safe, loving environment while their owners are away.
About: Had dogs all in my life since I was a child and took care of them through every stage of their lives. They were special additions to our active military family, fabulous, loyal companions and teachers adding an incredible richness to my life as I was able to add to theirs. Dogs help us and are special gifts from God. They are our assigned four-legged guardian angels helping us to unravel the mysteries of life and teaching us how to really love. I am semi-retired doing part-time swim instruction and have a sole proprietorship specializing in consulting for low-voltage Wifi, surveillance camera, access control installations, advanced fitness/longevity training and home improvement handyman projects along with hobbies in investment research and writing. I enjoy some gardening, plus doing updates on the house and vehicle maintenance. I have past US military training as a Master Fitness Trainer and corporate, as well as, small business IT/technical experience. I have a beautifully fenced in backyard that is regularly mown and maintained and semi-organically managed to keep it healthier for dogs than a typically perfectly manicured "Chemlawn." I still pull a lot of weeds by hand, but it's safer for my puppies, that way. They're well worth the effort. 😉Our family has a 7-stage reverse osmosis water system including a natural alkalyzing dispenser to assure great tasting safe drinkable water for all here in this homestead. I grew up in an active military medical family with various dogs from a Lhasa Apso, Shepherd mix, Terrier mix, Golden Retriever, Springers, Border Collie and a Rottweiler. I'm comfortable with many breeds and am a Cesar Millan fan. My wife and I both grew up with dogs throughout our lives and our little Morkie and Maltese are current regular priorities as our furry dog children. We experience much enjoyment daily as we care for our animal family and friends. Let's seize the day, "Carpe diem" and unpack the gift of every day that God so graciously grants to each one of us in this miracle on earth we experience, called life.
“Cassidy was fantastic, first time using Rover for a short trip and will definitely not hesitate using in the future when I know our cats will be well taken care of!”

About: I love all pets. I’ve taken care of over seven different dogs ranging from 8 weeks old to 15+. I do not do boarding in my own home. 100% in the comfort of your own home please do not hesitate to reach out for any questions! I am very flexible for any pet care for any questions. Feel free to reach out. I’m available at all times of day and night to make sure our babies are okay I have a dog and cat we feed both twice a day the correct amount needed for them. Our dog goes on a daily walk. Other client care I do whatever the pet parent needs and wants to ensure the safety of their pet and whatever they are comfortable with.
“I felt very comfortable going out of town and leaving my new cat in Kathy's care. He's very shy but she managed to see him. There was good communication and I found her to be very caring.”

About: I had a dog of my own growing up and was incredibly lucky to be highly involved in all stages of her life. I have also been blessed to watch many other dogs consistently over the years and was able to be with them as they grew old. From crazy energy and intense training, to medication and helping ones who aren't as able. I have experience with young pups and the senior dogs. I am fit and able to walk large dogs, also nurturing and able to soothe those shy ones out there. I appreciate your consideration and hope to meet you and your fur family soon! I am an early bird and willing to come early, typically 6-8am. My days can be flexible but typically on shorter notice. My evenings are usually open! Weekends vary. I am willing to make anything and everything work in advance and short notice! I am happy to care for your pet exactly as instructed by you. For walks and drop-ins I ask that any potential watch-outs are communicated as well as anything that your pet specifically loves! Whatever is best for you and your pet(s) is best for me.
“I was a bit hesitant leaving her with anyone, BUT SHANNIA is fantastic with my English Bulldog! She has a right shoulder injury and Shannia picks my dog up (weighing 54 lbs) up and downstairs! She wipes her 🐾 really good! She is amazing”

“Poppy LOVES spending her hour with you! She is always so tired from her walk and the photos we get are amazing! You are so flexible and always so accommodating! We know Poppy is well taken care of when she’s with you”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Darien
Kevin & Ana are a great team. My dogs warmed up to them very quickly. They gave the full attention to both my energetic jack Russell Terrier and my old timer 12yr old pitbull. This was our second booking and my dogs are sure looking forward to seeing them again.
Daniel was the absolute BEST! We could not have asked for a better dog watcher. My family and I were away, leaving our pups alone for the first time. Daniel was super reassuring before, during and even after his time with us. He is very responsive to messages, sends check in messages with every visit and even did some extra efforts to make sure our pups felt comfortable. 10/10 recommend.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Darien with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
