About: I’ve had a family dog for almost all of my life, I also used to work at a doggie daycare and currently work at a vet hospital. I’ve taken care of dogs for multiple friends!! I love dogs of all breeds and size, but I choose to watch one at a time so I can give all my attention to your fur baby! I work part time so I can watch dogs Sunday, Wednesday, or Saturday! I can do boarding for most dogs as long as they come with sleeping arrangements. I have a huge backyard with a gated pool and a pretty big front yard as well. When taking care of other dogs I have a super long rope I tie them up to so they can run freely because we don’t have any fences.

My household has raised many types of breeds, from German shepherds to golden retrievers to miniature schnauzers. I live very close to a state park for long walks, a fenced in pool area, and spacious backyard. Since my yard is not fenced in, I allow the dogs to roam freely within the pool area or take multiple walks per day in my neighborhood. I currently work part-time and my daily schedule tends to vary; however, your pet is my priority before and after my scheduled shift. He showed some signs of stress on one of her visits which she described to a T. She had the good judgement to give him a pee and poo break but forego the walk with him. Next visit he was great. Based upon her feedback I felt completely confident that they were in the best possible hands. Carlie is a vet tech, and this added skill/ experience was obvious in how she handled things. I have spent a lot of timing researching and helping animals who need it, and I have even taken classes on animal care and behavior. I love animals and they always have, and will be, a big part of my life. My schedule does vary, but it is flexible. Monday evenings, tuesdays, Friday evenings, Saturday, and Sunday especially, I am generally available. I will always try to fit your pets in! Mondays through Thursdays: AM & PM visits before and after work, sometimes can do a lunchtime visit if in Ridgefield. Fridays: AM & PM visit, sometimes can do a lunchtime visit if in Shelton, overnight stays. Saturdays and Sundays: Flexible, 3 visits a day, and overnight stays. Safety is my #1 priority - ensuring your pets feel secure and comfortable. My goal is to provide a stress-free, trustworthy experience which is why I only accept bookings I can confidently handle based on each pet's needs and my experience. During my visits: - I respect your space and follow all care instructions and house rules. - I ensure doors, windows, and gates are secure. Doors are opened with extreme caution. - I ensure they have access to everything they need and their water dishes are full. - For cats, even if they sometimes goes outside, they must be and remain inside for the entirety of my visit. I will ensure their litter boxes are cleaned. - For dogs, there will be double checks of leashes, collars, and/or harnesses.

I am willing to walk dogs or just check on them if needed Since I am recently retired my schedule is flexible. I can perform dog work in morning or afternoon and into the early evenings as necessary I lost my dog to old age last year. I would walk him daily in fields or parks. I kept him on a leash when needed and rewarded his good behavior with a small treat. I have no problem following any owners instructions on how they want their dog cared for.
