“Ryan EXCEEDED my expectations! He has an intuitive way with dogs. He is very knowledgable about dogs & dog behavior. Ryan is the real deal-- a true animal lover & kind, decent human being. He communicated well with pics and updates during my dog's visit. During our initial meeting I felt an instant rapport he had with my dog that put me at ease. His home is VERY dog-centric! The visiting dogs are not confined and are free to mingle and find their own place to relax. There are ample dog beds, couches, human beds and floor space for lounging and sleeping. I especially appreciate that Ryan limits the number of dogs he boards at one time to a very small group, & makes sure they vibe well together beforehand. The living space Ryan and his boarders occupy is all on one level, which is great for my dog with arthritis. There is a wooded trail for walks adjoining the yard, and a guest bedroom if a dog needs some quiet alone time. I would HIGHLY recommend Ryan and I plan to use him again!”

About: I’ve taken care of family cats since the age of 5 and when I started living on my own with my previous partner we had three rescued cats together. One of these cats developed diabetes and needed daily insulin shots, and then eventually needed fluid IVs in which I had to learn to take care of since my ex wasn’t okay with the procedure. After our split (2012-2017), he took the cats, but in 2021 when my now-husband, we adopted a rescue cat with a shortened tail and have been dog and cat people ever since! Thankfully I have yet to need to use my medication administering skills on our cat, but we do a very good job at keeping him healthy and happy so it is less likely he will develop diabetes later in his life.

This was our first time using a sitter via Rover so we had some nerves going into the process, but Hayley was very communicative and even did an initial meet and greet with our cat before booking. We gave Hayley specific instructions for visits and followed everything down to the very last word. Her post-visit Rover cards were descriptive and came with kitty photos that reassured us but also made us miss her a lot! It was great to see that our cat felt very comfortable and warm towards her right from the beginning. About: I am a very active person i love being out side and going on runs or just simply going on walks. I wake up early everyday and usually go on runs and take my little puppy on walks. I live in a nice area close to town. I love all types of dogs and my schedule is very flexible being a realtor so i am always able to do walks at all times! would love to have overnight stay and would give extra love to all the dogs! I am a full time realtor so my schedule is made by me and can be very flexible. I can be pretty open with my hours. I have a fenced in yard and also own a duplex so I can house different dogs upstairs or separate if need be. I absolutely love dogs and cats so any pet will feel right at home with my care.

We travel about once a year for 2 weeks, and mostly spend our time in town as our boys do sports. About: Hello! My name is Nita, and I’m a lifelong animal lover who would be delighted to care for your pets as if they were my own. Over the years, I’ve had experience caring for dogs, cats, birds, fish, guinea pigs, and even mice. Our beloved Border Collie, Jasmine, was part of our family for 12 wonderful years, and she gave us countless happy memories. I also regularly cared for my grand dog a sweet Lab mix, Benny. I currently share my home with our spirited lovebird, Gourdon Loveblossom, who is 3½ years old. We even had a goldfish named Goldie who recently passed away amazingly at 23 years old! I appreciate and respect the trust that every owner puts in me when they contact me to care for their animal. I can give medications if needed, including injections. Also have worked in shelters and volunteer at rescues. I have taken care of senior dogs and cats. Feeding, walking, playing or if they have any special needs is not a problem. I have a flexible schedule and open to working with you to arrange drop in visits. Mid morning through later afternoons are open for me. If you need another time, just let me know. I'm happy to do whatever your pets need, whether they want to play, walk or just hang out. If they are a little shy and need time to get used to me is totally understandable, I will follow their cues. I will take my time to learn what they need and adapt to them. About: I’ve had a family dog for almost all of my life, I also used to work at a doggie daycare and currently work at a vet hospital. I’ve taken care of dogs for multiple friends!! I love dogs of all breeds and size, but I choose to watch one at a time so I can give all my attention to your fur baby! I work part time so I can watch dogs Sunday, Wednesday, or Saturday! I can do boarding for most dogs as long as they come with sleeping arrangements. I have a huge backyard with a gated pool and a pretty big front yard as well. When taking care of other dogs I have a super long rope I tie them up to so they can run freely because we don’t have any fences.
About: I’ve grown up with animals of all kinds from as early as I can remember. Being the oldest of my siblings I was the first to have to take on the pet care chores, and this included both our dogs and our cats, and the other types of animals we had in our household. I have pet care experience with dogs and cats, as well as other pets too. When I moved out on my own with my previous partner (2012-2017) we had adopted three rescued cats, and I was the main administer of the diabetic cat’s insulin and late IV fluid treatments. My ex kept our cats in the split, but in 2018 I adopted my first dog completely on my own. She’s a rescue pit bull mix and now, with my current husband, she is joined by another rescued pit bull mix and a rescued cat. Last year we also adopted a red ear slider turtle off the street in Philadelphia and he now enjoys his aquatic terrarium with his guppy and pleco friends. In 2023 I briefly worked for a dog walking company in Ridgefield and was bit by one of the client’s dogs, unprovoked, and because of that I left the service after being blamed for the outburst and attack (despite telling the owners and the employer that the dog was getting increasingly aggressive with me and I wasn’t comfortable walking him anymore). It was the only time I had ever had an animal turn on me like that and it made me rethink working for a service where I wasn’t listened to or given proper protection. My husband and I have been Rover clients since we moved to Connecticut in 2023 and I am very happy to say we have never had a negative experience, which is why I have decided to lend my services to other pets and families in the area that are in need of an experienced pet caretaker. I am a professional actor so I have days that are marked off for auditions and work or rehearsals, however it is not a consistent time or place. I work throughout the Northeast, NYC, and the Mid Atlantic currently with my acting opportunities, but I am also open to short term travel as well. Because of that, my availability is very open some weeks and not as much on others, depending on what projects I am currently involved in and what the scheduling is like. I would love to spend more time your pets in my downtime and give them the attention they require, since mine are pretty saturated in it regularly. I have two dogs, which are extremely friendly and love other dogs, people, and cats! Our cat is very aloof so they wouldn’t be seen much in cases where pet sitting at my home is needed. Our yard is not fenced in but I am very accustomed to taking them out for walks, or having them leashed under my supervision in our yard. Because I live in Newtown, there are plenty of places to get some quality walks in, and we are also not far from open public dog parks either if that suits your furry friend! I also have my own car which I am more than comfortable transporting your pet in or coming to you for check ins or walks. Our dogs are up to date on vaccines so that is not a worry either, and I am diligent in making sure everyone has a great time when their friends (and our human friends) are over too!
About: Big dogs and little dogs are all happy dogs. I enjoy taking care of and spending time with animals. I have had experience since my childhood I will be more active in my life physically walking them and taking care of them. It’s a perfect job cute animals and taking care of them for money. It’s perfect. I will take the best care of your pet at your home. Just let me know if they need something or have a certain routine and I got it!
About: I am a very active person i love being out side and going on runs or just simply going on walks. I wake up early everyday and usually go on runs and take my little puppy on walks. I live in a nice area close to town. I love all types of dogs and my schedule is very flexible being a realtor so i am always able to do walks at all times! would love to have overnight stay and would give extra love to all the dogs! I am a full time realtor so my schedule is made by me and can be very flexible. I can be pretty open with my hours. I have a fenced in yard and also own a duplex so I can house different dogs upstairs or separate if need be. I absolutely love dogs and cats so any pet will feel right at home with my care.

“Ryan EXCEEDED my expectations! He has an intuitive way with dogs. He is very knowledgable about dogs & dog behavior. Ryan is the real deal-- a true animal lover & kind, decent human being. He communicated well with pics and updates during my dog's visit. During our initial meeting I felt an instant rapport he had with my dog that put me at ease. His home is VERY dog-centric! The visiting dogs are not confined and are free to mingle and find their own place to relax. There are ample dog beds, couches, human beds and floor space for lounging and sleeping. I especially appreciate that Ryan limits the number of dogs he boards at one time to a very small group, & makes sure they vibe well together beforehand. The living space Ryan and his boarders occupy is all on one level, which is great for my dog with arthritis. There is a wooded trail for walks adjoining the yard, and a guest bedroom if a dog needs some quiet alone time. I would HIGHLY recommend Ryan and I plan to use him again!”
