“Lucky had a great time with Max and Thomas. He enjoyed playing in the backyard and all the pets. Thank you and I'll definitely rebook again. I appreciate the prompt replies to my texts.”

“Randi and her family were amazing with our dog and treated him like their own. She was responsive and sent regular pictures and updates. We will definitely use her services again.”

“Cali was an excellent sitter for our beloved dog Maya. She was easy to communicate with including when we ended our trip early and picked our dog up earlier than expected. She clearly cares about dogs and our dog came home happy and tired so I know she had a great time. She sent great pictures and we would definitely trust her to care for our dog in the future. I highly recommend her services for anyone looking for a caring and friendly sitter.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since I was 10 years old!! I love all animals honestly. I’ve walked dogs, cleaned litter boxes. I’ve also bathed pets. Also cuddles are a must! Also play time is important! I would love to pet sit anytime! Pet care would be during the week in the evenings. The weekends I’m free to anything! I can do overnight stays on the weekends, I can walk, feed, and bathe pets. Depending on which service I’m doing, I do have a yard which your dog can play in. I also can bathe pets and feed them, and if you have a cat I can clean litter boxes and play and brush them!
“Sarah was fantastic! She and her doggos met up with myself and my pup to make sure that they got along with each other before her stay. During Rory’s stay we got pictures and updates and she was smiling in all of the pictures, so I know that she was enjoying herself! 10/10 will definitely rebook with Sarah if we are in need of a sitter! Highly recommend :)”

“Megan and Vincent were amazing with our girls! We got plenty of photo and video updates throughout the entire time we were gone and were always super quick to respond. This was the first time leaving all three of them for longer than just a few days and with someone who wasn’t a family member and I couldn’t have felt more comfortable than I did with Megan and Vincent.”

“Deanna is such a great dog sitter! She and her lovely family took such great care of Romee. Romee had walks, plenty of playtime—just a perfect situation. Knowing Deanna was taking care of Romee allowed me to truly relax and not worry a bit while I was out of town. I’ll be rebooking with Deanna! Absolutely recommend.”
“Seunghee was wonderful to work with! She sent me several updates every day, both pictures and videos. She also made Tucker a special meal, after checking with me first of course. He thoroughly enjoyed his stay!!”

“This was our first time using Rover and we were so fortunate to have found Sarah. From our initial contact it was clear - she was all about dogs. Our Trevor was a rescue who is still very anxious. He hasn’t been boarded in 4 years, so we were very apprehensive about the experience. But Sarah put us and Trevor at ease. He fit right into their family. He stayed 12 days and every report was positive. Thank you Sarah and family! We will definitely use your services again. Sorry for all of the white hair that your house is likely covered in now. Theresa, Rodger & Trevor”

“Very good experience! My first time utilizing a dog sitter for overnight. Booking was seem-less. Rachael was very attentive and invited us for a meet and greet before the scheduled stay. Throughout the stay Rachael texted pictures of my puppy and kept me posted on how he was adjusting. I highly recommend Rachael and will definitely be using her in the future.”

“I highly recommend Megan! She visited my house to meet my dogs before taking them for a week. I have two Frenchies who you might consider to be "extra," lol. She took great care of them and even kept them an extra night at my last-minute request. Thanks so much Megan!”

“Tammy is the absolute best! She boarded my dog at her house while I was on vacation and made the whole experience stress free. She sent daily updates and was so incredibly sweet. Sandy was very happy when i picked her up!”

“Danielle took great care of my dog while I was away! Sadie was happy and well cared for when I picked her up. Danielle was responsive and sent me regular updates so I knew Sadie was happy and safe. I highly recommend Danielle!!”

About: I have taken care of big and little dogs ever since I was 13. Last summer I watched a senior dog and changed his diapers. I am currently working part time at Z-Vault in Bel Air. I have lots of time to spend time with your dogs or cats this summer! My neighborhood is dog friendly. I have a 8 year old dog and a cat to keep your dog lots of company! Our home is welcome to all!
About: I’ve raised 3 dogs from the age of 13. This means I’ve gone through potty training and senior care. It’s not always easy but I always make it work. My schedule changes a lot because of school but I’m usually open during the afternoon to evening. This being said I am flexible if you are. My backyard is fenced in and is very spacious. Inside the home in pretty open and has lots of different toys. I am able to see everything throughout the home.

Tanner came back tired and happy from his stay! It was so comforting to know that this wonderful family was there to keep him safe while we were away. He loved his daily walks and he was even spoiled with some treats to bring home which he showed us right away! I would happily book with Hayley again!

Allison was AMAZING!!! There is no other words for the care that was given to our Lil family member, Mirabel, that stayed with her. As this was the first time using "Rover" I was kinda hesitant but after meeting with her all my questions were answered and I felt content to leave Mirabel with her. Just the greatest!!!

Jacob and Megan just watched my fur baby (Chloe) for the first time, and they were so great! We had a meet-and-greet prior, so Chloe could check out their surroundings and meet their dog. They are extremely kind and welcoming, and their home is the perfect environment for doggy care. I received regular updates and pictures throughout the weekend, and didn't worry about my Chloe at all. I highly recommend Jacob and Megan! Chloe will definitely be back!

Will is super kind and responsive! We met beforehand to see if my dog's were a good fit. I knew after meeting with him, that they would be in good hands. Also, he sent us photo updates during our trip. My dogs seemed super happy when we went to pick them up. I would use him again. Highly recommend!

Jessica did a fantastic job watching our (slightly) high maintenance cattle dog! Our dog was extra nervous/neurotic while we were out of town and Jessica was so attentive and patient with her, even when she wasn’t on her best behavior. We will absolutely use her in the future. She is a gem!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
