Routine & Schedule: Our dogs get fed first thing in the morning and walked around our 10 acre wooded property, which backs to a state park. Weather depending, they’re allowed to play in our creek, swim, and just be dogs! Breakfast is given around 7a. Mornings are for playing, and lunch is offered if you choose. We have “quiet time” from about 1p to 3p, where dogs will be put into their crates, if provided, or encouraged to lay down for some much needed rest. After quiet time, it’s a few more hours of play before dinner at about 6p. Your dog will get a nice walk up our gravel road and some play time before settling in for bed at around 9p. Potty breaks are offered every 2 hours or so (but of course are available whenever your dog needs it).

Outside: We keep our clients dogs on leash or allow off-leash if your dog has a strong recall. We have a fenced outdoor patio play area available for outside play, where they are supervised outside at all times. Inside: Both of us work from home and my mother lives with us as well, so someone is almost always here with your pet! In the rare instance we are not home, dogs from different households are separated, offered their own bowl of water, non-stuffed toys, and a place to lay down. Crates are highly encouraged for crate-trained dogs. It gives them a sense of their own space and reminds them of their home! Dogs are fed separately and are never allowed to be in the kitchen when food is being prepared. This helps keep any food aggression at bay, and encourages them to feel safe while eating. When visiting a clients home, we base our visits on your normal schedule. If your dogs don’t get fed until 8 am, we’ll do our best to keep that schedule. Walks and Potty Breaks are based as close to your schedule as possible.

A typical day
We love to get down and play with dogs & rub all the bellies! They’re able to sniff all the things along our walks & take their time lounging in the sun. We walk at their pace & bring a water bowl and treats! We have a creek with swimming spots, a pool, and lots of space for play! Winter, Spring, Fall & Early Summer: We are outside almost all day. During the “dog days of summer”, we tend to go out in the early morning and late evening, or whenever the temperature is below 80 degrees. We go out every day unless the weather is severe. That means even in rain or cold. We have a large canopy they play under if it’s raining, but they usually prefer to be out in the rain! However, if the temp is below 40 degrees, we will not go out if it’s raining.

Pet care experience
We have experience in all kinds of animals, but most in dogs, cats & horses! We will get down on the floor and rub bellies, scratch ears, give all the kisses, and love your pets like we do our own. We often get compliments that the pets we care for return home exhausted, happy & well behaved! We both are experienced in puppy care and senior dog care. We’re happy to administer medicine if necessary, and are glad to take the extra time to bribe your pet to take their meds :)

Reviews

Libby had a fantastic time with Jenn and her family. Couldn't have asked for a better expirence. Will definitely bring using Jenn in the future for all our boarding needs.

Jenn and her husband were great! Milo has a lot of separation anxiety, and they handled it with ease. They were very communicative and sent plenty of pictures. Would highly recommend!

Jenn was amazing and took such great care of Odin. She provided updates and photos which was much appreciated. We highly recommend her if your pup needs a sitter!

Jenn & her husband have created the perfect place for pups! Our golden Daisy was treated like their own. On this hot weekend there was a puppy pool and their property even has a stream. They sent pictures and provided updates making us feel completely comfortable and confident that Daisy (7 yo) our baby was being taken care of. We are so glad we found them and have already booked again! Highly recommend.
