About: I’ve always felt at home around animals—growing up with dogs of all ages and sizes taught me a lot about patience, trust, and how to tune into what each pet needs. Now, with years of experience working through pet-sitting agencies in San Diego and Santa Barbara, I’ve built on that foundation with reliable, hands-on care. One of my favorite parts of the job is getting outside for long walks—it’s good for the dogs and good for me, too. Whether it’s administering meds or just keeping your pet’s routine steady, I approach it all with care and a genuine love for what I do. I am currently in graduate occupational therapy school, and am doing this in my free time to help me support my schooling while doing something I love! Pet care fits really well into my routine! I’m currently working on my thesis for graduate school in occupational therapy, and my program is fully online. I only have two mandatory class meetings a week—Mondays and Thursdays from 12:30 to 1:30—so I have a lot of flexibility during the day. I love getting outside for daily walks and would be so happy to have a furry companion join me. Caring for pets gives me a great balance between schoolwork and movement, and I genuinely enjoy spending my time with animals. I provide loving, care in clients' homes, ensuring pets stay comfortable in their familiar environment. While I can accept dogs in my home on a limited basis due to my cat, I prefer to care for pets in their own space, offering walks, playtime, and plenty of attention!

“Julie is the best - a thougtful and professional sitter who takes lots of great photos and writes really fun to read Rover cards. Both of our cats adore Julie and enjoy their visits with her very much - highly recommend!”

“Kaitlyn is incredibly professional and communicative. She took the time to learn about Luna and her routine before their first visit, which I truly appreciated. I’m looking forward to having her care for Luna again in the future!”

“Maren is terrific—reliable, friendly, communicative. Beau loves her and he had a great outing with her. She did all his favorite things with him—ball, frisbee, and bubbles—and he came back tired and happy. I highly recommend Maren!”

About: Hi, I’m Rylee! I’ve had dogs in my life for as long as I can remember. From growing up with a toy poodle, a Labrador, and a Husky, to caring for breeds like Golden Retrievers, Shih Tzus, Chihuahuas, and Corgis—I’ve truly seen it all! I consider dogs my besties, and I treat every pup with the same love, patience, and gentleness I give my own. With years of hands-on experience walking, feeding, and bathing family and friends’ pets, I’ve developed a strong sense of how dogs are feeling and what they need. Whether it’s a midday potty break, a long walk, or just some extra TLC, your pup will be in caring and capable hands. I’m available on weekdays from 9am–5pm for walks, potty breaks, feeding check-ins, belly rubs, playtime, and companionship—perfect for keeping your pup happy while you’re at work! While I’d love to host, my apartment complex doesn’t allow dogs, so I’m only available for drop-in visits, outdoor walks, and at-home care at your place.

About: I have always been pet-obsessed. I was raised around dogs and have been taking care of them for 20+ years. Dog-sitting with me would look like lots of walk time, play time, and endless cuddles. I am also a cat mom to two spoiled kitties. I would describe myself as attentive, caring, and nurturing when it comes to taking care of animals. Animals bring me so much joy, and I would love nothing more than to look after your fur babies. I am a stay-at-home cat mom, so I have plenty of time to tend to your fur babies throughout the day, 7 days a week. At a client's home, I would respect their care directions and follow them thoroughly. I can do the basics like feeding, cleaning up after pets, and giving them lots of love, but also exercise and play with them as well.

“Sam was able to drop in last minute to check in on my kitty after a minor scare while I was out of town. I always appreciate how prompt she is with responding and communicating. She is extremely reliable and my go-to cat sitter.”

About: Hi, I’m Taylor! I’ve been around animals my whole life—from growing up with strong, high-energy dogs (especially bully breeds) to spending nearly two decades with my soulmate cat. I understand how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone new, and I take that seriously. I’m calm, intuitive, and confident handling a wide range of pet personalities—including anxious, reactive, or shy animals. I currently live with a Maine Coon (my roommate’s cat, who’s basically claimed me), and I’ve had plenty of experience walking, feeding, and loving on dogs of all sizes. Whether it’s a beach walk, a low-key hangout, or just making sure they feel safe and cared for while you’re away, I’ve got it covered. Looking forward to meeting your furry best friend 🐾 My schedule is super flexible! I work part-time, so I’m available most weekdays and weekends—mornings, afternoons, and evenings. Just reach out and I can usually make it work! I always treat my client’s home with respect and aim to keep your pet’s routine as close to normal as possible. Whether it’s walks, feedings, playtime, or just being a calm presence around the house, I’m there to make your pet feel safe and comfortable. I pay attention to the little things—body language, mood, energy—especially with pets who might be more sensitive. I clean up after myself (and your pet!), give updates if requested, and try to leave things better than I found them. My goal is for your animal to feel at ease and genuinely cared for while you’re away.

“Samantha is so kind and extremely reliable! Brodie had so much fun on his walks and she was so sweet to even leave him a goody bag. Will definitely use Samantha’s services again!”

About: **Licensed, Insured & Bonded** Hey there! I'm passionate about making sure dogs have the best time in safe and stimulating environments. Whether your furry friend is a high-energy pup or more of a chill companion, I've got the skills to keep them happy. As the guardian of a dog who copes with reactivity, I totally get the importance of creating comfortable spaces. I'm all about personalizing my care to fit each dog's unique needs, and while I'm happy to accommodate your preferences, I'll always stick to methods that feel right to me, like positive reinforcement and lots of love and patience. Oh, and let's not forget about Sniffari walks—they're my absolute favorite! So if your pup is craving some adventure, shoot me a message! I set my own schedule, which means I understand how crucial it is to maintain a predictable routine for our furry friends. I'd love to hear all about your pup's typical day so we can work together to create a plan that keeps things consistent for them. Overnight Stays: I offer a 12 hour period in-home care. The start and end times may vary per day. An example of a 12 hour period is as follows: arrive at 7pm and depart at 7am. I will also provide up to 2 drop-in visits of a minimum of 30 minutes during the day to ensure quality time for play, walks, and love. Overnight stays include meal feedings morning & evening, medications if applicable, and general cleaning. I can also help with bringing in mail, trash day, and watering plants. Please reach out for more information. I'm well-versed in handling reactivity and reading dog body language. It's important to me to never push a dog into a situation where they feel uncomfortable. I'll ask you questions to fully understand your dog's temperament, needs, and preferences. Plus, I'm more than happy to provide notes and pictures of my visits. If your pup tends to be wary of new people, I suggest booking a few visits to help them feel more comfortable and minimize any stress. When it comes to building a bond with your furry friend, I always opt for force-free approaches

About: I first joined Rover over 10 years ago and cared for a wide range of dogs and cats. I took a break to focus on school and work but continued pet sitting for friends and family. Now I’m excited to return to Rover and offer reliable, loving care for your pets once again. I’m currently between jobs, so I have plenty of flexibility to provide care. I’m happy to accommodate your pet’s schedule and needs with attention and consistency. When caring for pets in their homes, I follow all instructions for feeding, exercise, and medication. I provide attention and comfort while keeping the environment calm and safe, making sure each pet feels secure and cared for.

About: I have taken care of many cats, small dogs, big dogs, kittens, puppies and seniors over the years. Also had many other animals along with the dogs and cats, including horses, pigs, lambs, goats, chickens, ducks, guinea pigs and rabbits. I treat all animals with love, care, respect and guidance. I have a flexible schedule and in most cases I can accommodate the pet and or the pet owner's schedule or needs, including weekdays and weekends. As of right now, I will not be caring for pets in my home. I can be available to take care of pets in the client's home when needed. I would use the guidelines provided by the owner when that situation if applicable.

About: My knowledge has increased each year since my first job at a kennel. I worked with a company like Rover after that, going to peoples houses and taking care of the needs that were required for the animal. I was trusted with keys and making sure the animal was safe, happy, and exercised. I also have raised a dog of my own, Remy. He has taught me the most out of all my jobs. He taught me patience, care, love, and responsibility. I have raised him since he was 3 months old. I would love to come meet your sweet angel or angels and give them my best care! I currently have Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday off. I’m open evenings on the other days of the week. I work for a Vet hospital 4 days a week, but I’m open to taking care of your fur baby after work if needed! I will always follow the standards you set for taking care of your baby in your home. If you want your pet to play in the yard only or only go on leash walks I will respect that! I will always clean up after myself and your pet as well.

About: My husband and I are big animal lovers and wish we could adopt more pets. Instead, we’re turning to Rover so we can introduce new friends to our 9 year old corgi and give others a sense of comfort that their fur kid is in good hands while they’re away. We’re in our late 30s, I work from home 5 days a week (my husband works hybrid 3 days a week) and we live in a quiet culdesac in the heart of Bay Park. We are very active and love exploring San Diego - you’ll most likely find us in Ocean Beach playing volleyball, at dog beach, walking Mission Bay or Crown Point, at Fiesta Island, or at a dog-friendly restaurant. We joke that our social lives revolve around where we can bring our corgi! I know what it’s like to have a stranger pet sit your pup through Rover, and we’ve had some not so great experiences with dog sitters in the past, so we wanted to be able to provide a super positive experience while you’re on vacation since we’ve been on the other end too! Also, be prepared to get spammed with lots of cute photos of your pet while you are away (unless you request otherwise!). Both my husband and I work from home (me full time 5 days a week and he hybrid 3 days a week). We are accustomed to at least 3 walks a day for our pup and field trips to the beach or parks. We have a large fenced patio deck great for lounging and live in a quiet, safe culdesac. Your pet’s safety is number one and we realize the importance as fellow pet parents. We will always keep your pup on leash unless you specifically request a visit to an off leash dog park.

About: I have a deep passion for caring for dogs, small or large, and can adapt to their personalities and temperament styles. I have experience raising my family dog, Melo, since he was a small pup! He is now 6 years old, 100lbs and the light of my life. I am familiar with basic training techniques and methods and can follow instructions per owners’ requests/preferences. I grew up with large dogs, but I have cared for a diverse array of dogs and I am excited to meet you and your pet! I am currently unemployed, job hunting for something in my field. I just moved to San Diego so I am looking to make new connections with some furry friends! My schedule is very open, just let me know what works best for you. I live in a condo apartment with a large common area where I could keep the dog comfy. I can take your pet on walks, if preferred, in a safe quiet neighborhood. If sitting in a client’s home, I would treat the space with respect and courtesy. I will try to make the pet comfy in their own home and follow instructions as needed.

About: Since I was a child, I have always had a lot of affection and respect for animals: I had dogs, horses... rabbits. Today, I spread this affection to the dogs I take care of. I have been taking care of dogs with respect, responsibility and a lot of love for them for over 6 years. As a pet sitter, I prioritize flexibility to accommodate various pet care needs. My daily routine typically begins with morning dog walks or playtime, followed by feeding and administering medication (if necessary). Afternoons may involve additional walks, playtime, or simply cuddling with furry friends. Evenings often include evening feedings and ensuring pets are comfortable and secure before bedtime. When caring for pets in my home, I ensure a safe and comfortable environment by providing a designated area for food, water, and rest. I also establish a routine for feeding, exercise, and playtime to maintain a sense of normalcy. For pets with medical needs, I administer medication as prescribed and monitor their health closely. When caring for pets in clients' homes, I respect their space and routines while also ensuring the pet's needs are met. also communicate regularly with clients to provide updates. By prioritizing the pet's comfort and well-being, I can provide peace of mind for both the pet and their owner.

“All great! Rene was playing with my two crazy dogs and I think he tried his best. Dogs were exhausted after playing, that exactly what I was asking for because they are very high energy dogs and need a lot of playing and attention. Rene was also very patient, thank you! I would recommend him and would invite him to sit or walk my dogs again.”

The best indication of how they were treated were the wagging tails and jumping excitement every time we came back to her house. It was such a piece of mind to know that my pups were taken care of by someone so conscientious and caring. I endorse Erika completely. You will be able to trust her 100% to care for your dogs as you would yourself.”
