About: I’m not just a dog walker—I’m your dog’s new best friend (and possibly their favorite human). What makes me different from other sitters is the way I combine experience, consistency, and a genuine love for every dog I meet. I have a knack for working with puppies and can help reinforce basic training during our time together. If your pup is still learning not to treat your shoes like chew toys, I’ve got you covered. I’m extremely reliable—I show up on time, every time, rain or shine. You’ll always get updates, photos, and the peace of mind that your dog is safe, happy, and getting the exercise and attention they need. I pay close attention to each dog’s energy level, age, and personality, so whether they’re a slow stroller or a high-speed adventurer, I tailor our walks to fit. Above all, I really do love what I do. I talk to dogs like they’re old friends, I celebrate their quirks, and I treat them like family. This isn’t just a gig for me—it’s something I truly care about. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine—I’ve structured my schedule to make time for the dogs and pets I work with. I work part-time, which leaves me with consistent midday availability on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, perfect for lunchtime walks or check-ins. On Fridays, I’m available after 2:30 p.m. for afternoon strolls or evening care. Weekends are wide open, so whether you need a long walk, a pet sitter while you’re out of town, or someone to tire out your high-energy pup, I’m fully available Saturdays and Sundays. I love using my free time to stay active, and spending it with dogs is the best way to do that! When I care for pets in their own home during check-ins or walks, I do everything I can to make sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable. I stick to their usual routines as closely as possible—whether that’s feeding them at a certain time, giving medications, or just sitting with them for some cuddle time after a walk. I always take the time to check their water, clean up any messes, and give them some attention so they’re not just being “let out,” but truly cared for. During walks, I make sure they’re securely leashed, walk in safe areas, and adjust the pace based on their needs—whether they’re a slow senior or a ball of energy. I also send updates with photos and notes so you know how your pup is doing and what we’ve been up to. My goal is to give both pets and their humans peace of mind—so you can relax knowing your furry family member is in good hands.

About: Hello! My name is Katherine, and since I work at a school, I am currently off for the summer. I have a playful Corgi named Peaches who loves to play and explore. In addition to growing up around animals, I have several years of experience dog sitting and walking from my college years. My corgi and I would love to make new furry friends this summer 😊 I’m off for the summer - so I have a pretty open schedule for now! Peaches and I are usually early to bed, early to rise, but get plenty of time to play during the day. Having used pet sitters myself, and I know what’s expected as a pet service provider and plan to communicate throughly, maintain the space orderly, and keep your pup safe. I always keep pets leashed outdoors and keep an eye on them while indoors.

“Kristen is not only reliable and amazing with my pups, but she also came through on a last minute change in schedule because it was raining and my patio door was open! She made sure my pups were good and saved my floors from the rain!”

“Ivy did an amazing job with Rhea she gave daily updates with photos and was very responsive through the app 10/10 would recommend to anyone with a larger dog breed! Was a last minute booking and she provided the sense of trust!”

About: I love animals of all types. I've cared for dogs, cats, and all sorts of other animals over the years professionally. I bring reliability and compassion, and I'm always looking for new animal friends. I currently work full time during the day Monday through Friday, however my schedule is flexible and allows me to do walks or drop in morning, afternoon, and evening. Weekends are available. I follow the guidelines you provide for the care of your pet in your home, or while out for a walk. While walking I ensure the safety of your dog by being aware of our surroundings and avoiding confrontation with other dogs or obstacles that can be dangerous. I'm attentive to details, and keep up to date on best practices with animals in various situations.

About: I'm attentive, calm, affectionate, and laid back. If your fur baby has any special needs I'm more than happy to learn your routine for them! Starting a part-time job soon so I have plenty of time, at the moment, to spend with your dog or cat! Just let me know how much time you would like me to spend with them or if you would need me to check up on them! I'm more than happy to play and/or be affectionate with your fur babies! I'm very cautious about their well being and I would love to follow your routine so that there's no disruption on anyone's end!

About: Every here and there I walk my friends’ dogs, take them to potty and play with them whenever is needed. Regularly small to mid-size dogs. I pet them, and provide them attention and love. I currently have a part-time job, working 3 days a week starting my shifts at 5pm. My mornings and afternoons are normally open to provide pet sitting! Mondays are normally open all day. My home is not pet-friendly due to management rules but I have been to my friends’ homes which have a few fences to block access to certain areas of the house.

About: My house was a zoo growing up! Dogs, cats, bunnies, birds, you name it- we rescued it. I am experienced with puppy and behavioral training, as well as senior pet care. In 2024, I had to say goodbye to my baby girl, Bella. She was a black-and-white American Pitbull and the sweetest thing. She looked like a little cow and loved to graze grass like one (ugh!). Since her passing, I've been missing doing the mundane tasks that come along with being a dog parent.. So let me do it for you! I ensure your pet will get all the love and attention they are more than worthy of. I am a substitute for the school district and am currently on summer break! I have plenty of time to come hang out and take care of your furbabies. The respect and care I have for your pet extends to you and your home. I clean up after your pet and myself, stay in communication with pet parents, and follow any specific instructions with sincerity.

About: I've worked for a dog boarding company in Sammamish WA called Happy Hound Hotel, which has now closed, for 5 years part time. Getting to work with dogs that were regulars was really a treat, and I continue to care for some prior Happy Hound clients. I'm working part time, and am flexible with scheduling so contact me and I'm sure we can find a time to take care of your pet(s). Having worked as a veterinarian assistant and as a handler at a dog boarding and daycare facility, I am very comfortable around all sorts of pets young and old. Different pets need different levels of care so we will discuss any existing conditions or concerns that your pet has or special care that they require; in addition contact information for your local vet and emergency vet is a must in case of emergency.

About: I am very experienced in pet sitting dogs, cats, hamsters, and guinea pigs in their own homes. I have been pet sitting for 19 years. I am a full-time online graduate student and work while in school. Working on schoolwork from home allows me the flexibility to visit pet households and create a routine if needed. I only watch animals in their own homes for their best interest/comfort. I find that most animals prefer being in their own homes while their owners are away.

“Katelyn did a wonderful job with my sweet kitty while I traveled. She was prompt, communicated well with updates, followed directions and requests, and took her time to be caring and attentive to my cat while I was away. And a plus…he definitely seemed to have enjoyed her company! I am so thankful Katelyn’s help and hope to be able to work with her again next time!”

About: Hi! I’ve been on Rover for many years, mostly in Seattle. I am new to SD & in between full time work so I am very available! I have transportation and am able to pet sit at your home, given schedules align. I am active and enjoy the walking locally as well as hiking trails, but can also just hang out on a couch and cuddle the animals :) Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have! My availability is extremely flexible right now as I am not working full time! I am going back to school in the fall to get my Masters degree, so until then, I am wide open :) I am an avid hiker and park explorer. If dogs are allowed, big fan of night time cuddles but will respect “no furniture” if that is your dog’s training.

About: Hi there! My name is Amina and I am a huge animal lover who loves being outdoors as much as possible in our beautiful city of San Diego. I grew up with my family and close friends owning dogs so dogs have always been a big part of my family and life, and I've also have been told I am an animal whisperer:) Those paws were made for walkin and I can't wait to be the one to help your lil or big dog get outside for some fun and exercise! I am currently working part time, so I have plenty of spare time to check in on your cat or walk your dog! I am available most week days in the morning-afternoon with some weekly evenings available as well. I cannot house pets at my house, however, I will follow any specific directions that you leave for your pet care, such as crate care!

About: I have grown up with animals of all kinds around me. I have had cats and dogs since before I can even remember, but the one thing I do remember is that they were the best things in my life. I raised 3 puppies, and they grew up to be 15, 10, and my little one is 5. I helped the two older dogs that became incontinent and were on medication in their last days. I truly love animals and believe they are better than people and deserve the best! I am a full-time student but have minimal in-person classes with more flexibility in the afternoon and onwards. I don’t have anything else that constricts my time so I would definitely be with the dogs and cats as much as possible :) I make sure to always lock the doors, give them water and food, go outside, and make sure to give extra love to them before I go. I will make sure to listen to the instructions of the owners and help as much as I can to make everyone feel safe and comfortable.

“I trusted Shad to both stay overnight with my cat when I was international for a whole week, and also to do a drop in visit for my cat's raw meat feeding when I was just away for one night. Both times he was professional and respected my home. It was evident he has a natural affection for felines. My cat, who is usually very shy, came out of hiding and even worked her way up to sitting on his lap. He is very sweet and honest. And LOVES CATS!”

I feel at peace knowing my dog is in good hands and an extra bonus that our dog loves her too!”
