“I felt at ease leaving my pets at home with Lucca even though it was my first time using her services. She is so sweet and bubbly and very kind. She sends lots of photos, updates, and doesn’t hesitate to bring up any concerns. My pets love her. I would pick her again in a heartbeat.”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better caregiver for our two Staffys this past week. Natalia was kind, loving and patient and also gave a great attention to detail in caring for our dogs. As raw food eaters, this is not an easy task! Plus she went above and beyond when it came to adding in basic care for our bearded dragon! She gave regular updates and handled concerns of mine above just pet care. She’s amazing! We came home to a clean house, fresh sheets, and everything in perfect order. Plus a sweet surprise gift for our 7 year old daughter - icing on the cake! We can’t say enough wonderful things about Natalia and will have her back very soon!!”

“Susan was wonderful! She kept my pup happy and comfortable while I was out of town. She kept him on his routine and kept me updated the whole time, giving me constant peace of mind. We will definitely be using Susan again and again!”

“Taylor was great with Henry! She sent us daily updates and was an excellent house guest. It was clear from the pictures that Henry was enjoying his new friend while we were gone. Will be using Taylor again for our next trip!”

About: i’ve taken care of dogs of every kind since I was 10. Neighbors, friends and family have relied on me to walk, Feed, bathe and love their pets. Pet care is a regular part of my routine. I make sure to set aside time each day for feeding, walking, playtime, and cleaning up after the pets. I like to keep a consistent schedule so the animals feel comfortable and cared for. When caring for pets, I always follow the owner’s instructions carefully. I make sure they have fresh food and water, take them on walks, give them attention, and keep their area clean. I also monitor their behavior to make sure they’re healthy and comfortable.
“Kayla did a great job caring for my dog Piper and my 3 cats. It's always great to find someone you can trust to care for your pets and your home. Even my shy cat Annabel came around which she rarely does with sitters. It's great to have peace of mind knowing someone is taking such good care of our beloved pets.”

“This was the second time Delilah watched our pets for us and she was fantastic, communicated well, and took great care of our two senior dogs and cat. We highly recommend Delilah to watch your fur babies.”

About: Animals have been a part of my family my entire life. I’ve had pets of all kinds, including senior animals, kittens, and physically disabled cats. Knowing how to care for animals of all kinds and needs has come naturally to me, and I additionally have a few animal/veterinary science classes under my belt from my time in high school FFA. I’m currently saving up for grad school (music major 🎶) and looking to have fun with animals along the way! I work remotely and on my own schedule so am very flexible for scheduling throughout the day. Occasionally I travel for music work but know these dates well in advance. Having worked in two pet boarding facilities, I know how to handle reactive or shy dogs both on walks and in the house, and will put safety first, for both the animals and myself.
“Susan was wonderful! She committed last minute when I needed help with my dear Peaches. She was loved & cared for & she sent me lovely pictures and videos during the stay!”

“Terri took care of our pups while we were out of town for a family wedding. She loved on them and spent time with them and we didn’t have to worry about them at all! Thank you so much for watching them!”

“Our 2 dogs had such a great time with Elizabeth and Mazi! She sent pictures every day and we were able to enjoy our time away without worrying about anything with the house or the dogs!”

“Our doggies love Abrianna! She is wonderful with communication and provided lots of photo updates of what our pups were up to while we were out of town. Our dogs also were on specific medicine and Abrianna provided great care.”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover born and raised around dogs. From energetic puppies to sweet senior pups, I’ve cared for them at every stage of life. I know how different the needs of a 10 week old puppy are from a 13+ year old dog and am comfortable and happy with both. While I grew up with dogs, I’m no stranger to cats either. I grew up cat sitting for neighbors and lived with cats through college and a bit after, so your kitty will be in good hands too. I live and work my full time job right here in Alpharetta, which means I’m always close by. Whether you need someone to check in on your pet mid-day or a trusted house sitter while you’re traveling, I’m local and flexible to accommodate to your needs. I’m currently working full time as an architectural designer. But no worries, my firm is right here in Alpharetta, so I am always nearby. My typical day to day is a very predictable 9-5 with flexibility to step away or work remotely if needed. With the exception of the occasional workout class, my evenings and mornings are free to spend with your furry friend. I am very proud of my commitment to the comfort and safety of my pets and the pets I care for. I have lived with all sorts of arrangements with pets from crating to free roaming animals and am comfortable accommodating your pet and their needs. Safety and comfort is my number one concern and I prioritize my pets and clients over everything in my life. I know how important keeping your spaces clean is for the safety and wellness of your pets and make sure that every space is puppy/kitty proofed in every way! As apart of my services, I prioritize regular updates and pictures to give you peace of mind that your pet is well taken care of.
“Well, she did it again! I don’t think my pet ever want us to come home because she takes such great care of him. Diligent thorough and kind. She also does a really great job of taking pics of my animals. She’s a way better photographer than I am! Highly recommend.”

“Christina was great and I’m a little more than picky about who stays with my dogs. She was responsive and attentive and proactively communicated the entire time. She left the house very clean and my dogs love her.”

“I had never used Rover before and was extremely nervous to have a “stranger” stay at our home. I chose to book Christel based on her reviews, and we could not have been happier with her!! She was extremely professional and amazing with our dog Piper. She was very communicative and sent wonderful updates and pictures of our pup throughout the stay. Thank you so much Christel, we can’t wait to use your services again in a few weeks!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Alpharetta
5 stars! We booked Sakinah’s housesitting service for our two dogs on a very short notice, when a previously booked Rover pet sitter had to cancel due to a family emergency. We slightly worried about our younger dog’s attitude, so we had a meet&greet in advance, and were so relieved when Fiona really liked Sakinah. We provided Sakinah with our routine dog sitting instructions and embarked on our vacation. Unfortunately, our elderly dog Marci decided to have multiple new health crises during our week long vacation. Sakinah handled this situation in the most professional and responsible way. She took Marci to the vet on multiple occasions, had to develop a new emergency routine for her, followed the vet’s orders, kept us informed at all times, stayed up really late and got up very early to administer new meds to Marci, cleaned up all the messes, all while also keeping Fiona on schedule and entertained. And this doesn’t even describe everything she’s done for our girls last week! Truly amazing! And both girls loved her, which is very important to us. We felt that they were in great hands and 100% taken care of. I will absolutely book Sakinah for our next vacation again!

Susan did such a great job with my two cats and Corgi. She followed instructions and shared lots of photos and updates. One of my kitties is very shy, but Susan was very patient and kind, so much so that my kitty came out of hiding shortly after she arrived! (It usually takes him a couple of days to warm up to a stranger). Susan also spent a lot of time playing with my Corgi and made sure he felt safe when scary thunderstorms happened. I am so incredibly grateful for her care and I recommend her services to anyone. I will surely be rebooking with her soon. Thank you Susan!

I have used Natalia over and over again for my Maltese with separation anxiety. She is knowledgeable, very communicative and overall does a great job pet sitting. She leaves the house in excellent condition, is very doting with my needy dog and all my neighbors always have nice things to say about her when they see her walking my dog. I love that she spends time playing with him as well because he needs the mental stimulation. Thanks Natalia!

We had Mackenzie watch Jasmine and Rudy for a day, as a trial for a longer stay later on. We are super happy with both Mackenzie's care for the doggos and also her responsiveness and communication with us. She followed our instructions thoroughly, kept us updated, and responded promptly when we reached out. Thank Mackenzie!

Dylan did a great job arrived early so we could go over some items for caring for our older dog. He let us know that he was on his way to our house in the am which was great. He took pictures and videos which were great to see. If you need a pet sitter. Dylan is great he won’t let you down and I’m sure your pets will love him he truly ares about your pets and animals. Will definitely be using Dylan again.
Crystal was wonderful with Ernie and Daisy! She was conscientious, on time, clean, and clearly a true dog lover. Daisy can be a little nervous with new people, but she warmed up to Crystal just fine, which says a lot. Crystal sent photo updates, made us feel comfortable while we were away, and we’d definitely book her again. Highly recommend!

I felt at ease leaving my pets at home with Lucca even though it was my first time using her services. She is so sweet and bubbly and very kind. She sends lots of photos, updates, and doesn’t hesitate to bring up any concerns. My pets love her. I would pick her again in a heartbeat.

Callia was great. She came by for a meet and greet a couple of weeks before her stay. For her overnight stay, she was on time and sent updates periodically so I knew my dog was ok. It was such a relief having her here while I was away. Highly recommend. Will definitely use her again!

Kai was an absolute dream—truly the best sitter we have ever booked through Rover! She was a fast and clear communicator, always keeping us updated with plenty of messages and pictures, which gave us such peace of mind while we were away. She took amazing care of our dogs, making sure they were happy and well-loved the whole time. On top of that, she went above and beyond by leaving our apartment even cleaner and tidier than when we left it. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will absolutely be booking with Kai again. Highly recommend!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Alpharetta walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Alpharetta maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Alpharetta choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
