“Taylor was amazing!!! This was our first time having someone stay with our dog while we were away and Taylor made us feel so comfortable!!! She took great care of our dog and our house while we were away!!! We would 100% recommend her!!!”

“Having Fallin sit with our 8 week old puppy was a relief. She kept us updated regularly and took so much time with us. She came for a meet and greet before being booked which I appreciated very much. My 18 year old is very anxious about their fur babies and Fallin helped alleviate that anxiety! We will definitely hire her again!”

When caring for pets, I always follow the owner’s instructions carefully. I make sure they have fresh food and water, take them on walks, give them attention, and keep their area clean. I also monitor their behavior to make sure they’re healthy and comfortable.
“Hunter was very accommodating to my anxious cat. She was very understanding and patient with her, which I appreciated. She also made sure to keep me updated with pictures every day and let me know how she was doing while I was out of town. I will definitely be booking again in the future.”

I'll play with him. Just hang them for an hour or for however long the client wants me to
“Kayla is amazing! She stayed with our babies for a week and they were very well loved the whole time. They clearly had a good time with her, and of course we will be asking her back on our next trip.”
“We had the absolute best experience with Kate! She was incredibly communicative and sent frequent updates filled with thoughtful details and tons of pictures, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. She was always quick to respond anytime I reached out and truly went above and beyond in every way. She even left our house cleaner than how we left it, which was such a pleasant surprise. We felt completely comfortable knowing our dogs and home were in such great hands and will 100% be using her again. Highly recommend!”

“Alexis is an easygoing, fun-to-be-around lady. She listens, takes notes, asks specific questions and likes dogs even when they jump up and be rude. I wish I could hire her on a weekly basis to watch my babies, even without going on vacation, haha.”

“Leslie was great with my pup Bogey! She communicated often, sent pictures and kept me updated on everything during the stay. The house was probably better than I had left it when I got home! I will definitely use Leslie again!”

“Autumn is an absolute dream! We had her house sit and stay with my two French Bulldogs while we went out of town for a few days. She was absolutely amazing! She kept me in the loop, sent tons of pictures and took such amazing care of them. It was really great for my dogs to be able to stay in their own home and receive the kind of attention they are used to, especially since it is difficult for me to leave them being that they are naturally an anxious breed. I didn’t have to worry at all while I was gone—I knew they were in great hands! We will definitely be contacting Autumn anytime we need help with them :)”

“Sarah was amazing with my 4-pack of dogs. She stayed overnight and made sure our home was taken care of as well. She sent pictures every day, and messaged me regularly, which was wonderful as it was the first time I’d been away from my babies in years! When we came home everything was neat and tidy and the pups were happy. I will definitely be calling on Sarah to come back, as I know she is taking care of my pups as well as I do.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Johns Creek
Kate is hands down the absolute BEST!! We couldn’t have had a better experience with her watching our dogs while we were out of town. Her detailed communication/updates was much appreciated. Our dogs LOVED her, and she took such great care of our house too. We am so thrilled that we found Kate!!! I would rate her a million stars if I could!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Sariah gave us the best gift of all, and that was peace knowing our dogs were in good hands. She paid such great attention to our instructions regarding eating, going out, etc. We had a couple of cameras and could see that they were happy and tails were wagging. She straightened things up so that it looked nice when we came home from a long flight and also some tragic news about a death in the family. Our dogs aren’t always easy, but she had suggestions and knew what to do. I hope she will be available to come back the next time we need a sitter. She was great.❤️🐾❤️🐾

Zamiyah was so caring and attentive to Charlie. I loved that she communicated and sent updates on how he was doing and also made sure he felt right at home while I was away. I highly recommend her for your fur babies! I will be keeping her for future use. I’m glad she was the one to take care of my baby, he looked so happy while I was gone.

Hunter was very accommodating to my anxious cat. She was very understanding and patient with her, which I appreciated. She also made sure to keep me updated with pictures every day and let me know how she was doing while I was out of town. I will definitely be booking again in the future.

Aram was absolutely amazing with our pup, while we were away. From the start, she was super communicative, attentive, and clearly cared about making sure he was comfortable and well taken care of. She followed all of our instructions, kept us updated, and even went above and beyond in a few areas without us asking. It gave us a ton of peace of mind knowing Kanye was in such good hands. You can tell she genuinely loves animals and treats them like her own. We came back to a happy, well-cared-for dog and a home that was in great shape. Would 100% book Aram again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, thoughtful, and trustworthy sitter.

Rileigh did such a great job with Phoebe, I'm so grateful! My puppy absolutely loves her and that tells me a lot. She was on time, was giving me plenty of updates throughout the day, and can tell she was playing a lot with my high energy puppy which is all I can ask for and more. Thank you again for taking care of my baby!

Madeline was a great sitter to our dog and cat! Our dog is reactive so it’s not easy finding someone our dog trusts. Madeline was very understanding and patient. She sent lots of updates and photos while we were gone. She also left our home in great condition. We would definitely work with Madeline again!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Johns Creek walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Johns Creek maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Johns Creek choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Johns Creek. On Rover:

- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
