“I felt at ease leaving my pets at home with Lucca even though it was my first time using her services. She is so sweet and bubbly and very kind. She sends lots of photos, updates, and doesn’t hesitate to bring up any concerns. My pets love her. I would pick her again in a heartbeat.”

About: Whether you need assistance with walking, drop-ins, or at-home care- I am excited for it all! I have been around animals my whole life growing up on a farm, and have great love for our furry (and not so furry) best friends. I am comfortable administering medications and am happy to transport pets in an emergency or if we are going on a “field trip”. In my heart, the bigger the pup the better, but I enjoy all dogs’ company and have had them ranging from chi-mixes up thru GWPs. With cats, I am experienced in assisting with kitting, and have bottle-fed orphaned kits. I currently have a dog who is cat, dog, and miscellaneous pet-friendly, and he has assisted me in caring for a number of dogs and cats. If you would prefer I not bring him to your home, let’s talk about it and see if I can still meet your pet care needs! I work part-time as a mobile pet groomer, so I have plenty of time to drop in throughout the day to spend time with your pets or take them on a walk. Irregardless of service booked, I am happy to communicate with you as much or as little as you would like about how things are going (bathroom descriptors/ images, eating details, behavior/stress responses, etc) and will take plenty of photos to send you! My camera roll is already 90% animals, so what is a few (hundred) more pictures 😆 Service Specific: Pet Sitting (in your home): If you would like me to stay at your home with your pet, I will clarify that I have a dog of my own who is extremely well behaved and has sat all of my cat and dog clients with me. I never leave pets unattended/ unsupervised together, and for times when I leave your home, I will crate or take my dog with me to ensure pet safety, though there is zero history of aggression. Pet Sitting (in my home): Currently not offering Drop Ins: For drop in visits, I am happy to bring or leave my dog- if your pet enjoys playing with other dogs and they pass the friendship-vibe check, then I am totally in support of having a drop in be a play date. Otherwise, I can spend whatever your requested amount of time is petting, brushing, feeding, walking, or cuddling with your pet- whatever you think they need or that they tell me! Walks: If your pet is dog-friendly, the more the merrier! I am comfortable walking up to 3 dogs at a time, and have often taken clients on walks with my dog. Walks specifics are highly dependent on your cat/dog’s needs and I am happy to discuss what you want, be it a minimum distance or time!

“Cannot say enough good things about Erica! We were gone for a week and she stayed at our house with our 3 dogs. She sent multiple daily picture updates (as requested) and seemed to love our dogs as much as we do! She left our house cleaner than we left it, and when we got home our dogs were excited to see us BUT searched the house looking for Erica. Can wait for her to come stay with them again!”

“Elizabeth watched our 4 pups while we were out-of-state and was absolutely phenomenal! Really the best dog sitter we’ve ever had. Took fantastic care of both the pups and our home! She took time out of her day to take the pups to parks and even to continue working on their training while we were away. Truly loved her and will definitely be using her every time we need a sitter for our pups!”

About: Hi! My name is Jasmine, and I'm a dependable, caring, and patient animal lover. I've spent years caring for dogs belonging to family members and friends. I'm a dependable and patient pet sitter with firsthand experience caring for dogs. I've owned a dog in the past and currently have another, so I understand the responsibility that comes with keeping them happy, healthy, and safe. I'm familiar with feeding schedules, potty breaks, daily exercise, playtime, and recognizing when something may be off with a dog's health or behavior. I know how important it is to give pets plenty of love, attention, and companionship while their owners are away. I'll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have live updates. I treat every pet as if they were my own and always strive to provide a calm and safe environment. Pet care fits well into my routine! I work full-time in Accounts Payable and work from home Tuesday through Thursday with a flexible 8-hour schedule, so I can adjust my work hours to accommodate morning, afternoon, or evening visits. I observe the Sabbath as a Seventh-day Adventist, so I'm unavailable from Friday at sunset until Saturday at sunset. Outside of those hours, including all day Sunday, I have great availability and am happy to provide reliable, loving care for your pets. I currently have a puppy, so I'm very familiar with maintaining a consistent routine. He eats three times a day, gets at least three walks daily, has supervised playtime, and is never out of my sight for long since he's still young. He sleeps in his own bed in my room and is crate-trained for safety and structure. When caring for pets in a client's home, I follow their routine closely, provide plenty of love and attention, and keep owners updated with photos and messages for peace of mind.

“Jenna was great even Sage our Jack Russell that gets anxious when we leave on a trip warmed up to her quickly. Nova our other dog loved her from the moment she walked in. She left the apartment clean and very happy dogs. Jenna’s response rate and updates were 100%, I would definitely recommend having Jenna take care of your pets.”

“Kayla is amazing! She stayed with our babies for a week and they were very well loved the whole time. They clearly had a good time with her, and of course we will be asking her back on our next trip.”
“We had Mackenzie watch Jasmine and Rudy for a day, as a trial for a longer stay later on. We are super happy with both Mackenzie's care for the doggos and also her responsiveness and communication with us. She followed our instructions thoroughly, kept us updated, and responded promptly when we reached out. Thank Mackenzie!”

“So so happy Taylor was able to watch Java for over 2 weeks. This has been our longest trip away and he's an anxious dog. I'm happy with all the updates Taylor provided and providing comfort for him while we were gone. Will def be using her again!”

“Amanda took such amazing care of our babies while we were away. We have never seen our pets so happy, comfortable and well looked after before! She is proactive in communicating and quick to respond if asked anything. She even cleaned the house before she left! Amanda’s years of experience clearly showing her expert level of care, immense attention to detail, and her love for animals while maintaining a friendly and supportive amount of communication while you’re away from your pets. If we could give more than 5 stars we would!”

“Jordan is an amazing dog sitter, excellent communication, professional and our dogs love her. I was able to fully enjoy being away because she was taking wonderful care of our dogs. Will definitely have her sit again!”

“Christel was absolutely amazing and I would highly recommend her to anyone! She house sat and watched our 50 lbs GSP for about 10 days. While I was abroad, every day she sent us an update and a little story about how Daisy was doing. My dog seemed so relaxed and happy when I came home and my house was in peak condition. Thank you so much Christel!”

“Samantha is amazing! She took such good care of Elton and sent me pictures and updates during the stay. Elton struggles to eat when I’m away and she found a way to make him feel comfortable enough to eat. I will definitely book her again!”

About: I’ve been helping take care of pets for years for families, friends, and by families who have hired me. I’ve grown up with cats and dogs and have a cat of my own now. Very comfortable and professional with all kinds of breeds of dogs cats, and more. I work a full time job Monday - Friday but WFH and travel. It very much varies on the day/week and can honestly be unpredictable (with the travel aspect) up until a few days in advance so bookings will more than likely be made only a few days to a week in advance. Please message me with inquires. Otherwise available after 5, at night, and on weekends. Can accommodate for multiple visits, walks, etc. I will help feed, clean up after, and do whatever needed to accommodate pets. I will be respectful of your home and / or area. Thanks!
“Mark took great care of our dogs while we were away. He has extensive experience working with dogs, which made us feel confident that they were in good hands. Everything went smoothly and the dogs seemed happy and well-cared for when we returned. We appreciate his professionalism and would consider booking with him again.”

Christel is the best! She is professional and has a passion for animals. We really appreciated all the photos sent sent to let us see that our dogs were enjoying themselves while in her care. Our house was also well cared for while we were gone. Would recommend 100%!

I highly recommend Lucca as a pet sitter. She exceeded all of my expectations and provided exceptional care for my dog, Pablo. Throughout her stay, she made sure he was fed on time, kept me updated with photos, and consistently communicated with me, giving me complete peace of mind. It’s rare to find someone you can truly trust with your pet, and Lucca is one of those people. Beyond being incredibly reliable and attentive, she has such a kind and positive energy. I not only found a trustworthy pet sitter, but also gained a friend. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again.

Dylan did a great job arrived early so we could go over some items for caring for our older dog. He let us know that he was on his way to our house in the am which was great. He took pictures and videos which were great to see. If you need a pet sitter. Dylan is great he won’t let you down and I’m sure your pets will love him he truly ares about your pets and animals. Will definitely be using Dylan again.
Ciara took great care of our three dogs when we went out of town for 5 days. We have two 2 year old high energy corgis and a 6 month old Great Pyrenees puppy who looks like a full grown dog, but acts like a spoiled toddler! Collectively they are a challenge. She did a great job managing the herd, keeping order in the house and communicating with us. We would definitely ask Ciara to stay with our pups again.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Crabapple walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Crabapple maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Crabapple choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Crabapple. On Rover:

- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
