“Maria is the best! She house sat Christian while I was away on a trip for a week. She attended to him & his special needs while providing updates. Videos, and photos. Not only was Christian well taken care of but upon returning my home was nice & clean how I left it! Highly Highly Recommend”

“Alexis was truly phenomenal, and I can’t recommend her enough! She went above and beyond every expectation we had. From the very beginning, her communication was outstanding. She kept us updated with thoughtful messages, adorable photos, and detailed check-ins that gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. She was also an incredibly respectful house guest, leaving everything spotless and treating our home with such care. Most importantly, she absolutely spoiled Shadow! She made sure he had all of his favorite things, gave him so much love and attention, and kept him happy, comfortable, and entertained the entire time. It was so clear that she genuinely cared for him as if he were her own. Coming home to a happy, relaxed pup says everything. Alexis made the entire experience stress-free, and I am so grateful for the care she provided. We will absolutely be booking with her again and wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will treat their pet like family!”

“Leslie was great with my pup Bogey! She communicated often, sent pictures and kept me updated on everything during the stay. The house was probably better than I had left it when I got home! I will definitely use Leslie again!”

About: Hello! Please call me Elliot! I have been surrounded by animals my entire life. I have had a variety of pets up until today. From bulldogs, to pomeranians, to labs, to all types of cats (indoor and out), I have grown confident in my presence and my ability to care for all kinds of furry loved ones. I can confidently complete any daily task needed, long or short walks, litter box or yard cleaning, giving liquid or pill medicine, and, of course, cuddle time. I am diligent and always ready to learn about your personal routines and needs to keep up with you and your pet's/s' health and comfort. I've worked with many, have house-sat for households with both dogs and cats, and have volunteered at PAWS Atlanta to understand the needs of those animals who need a bit more attention and love than some others. I pride myself on my consideration and patience and am looking forward to learning the ropes of your unique pet! I will be starting my graduate program this August and will have classes Monday through Wednesday (late afternoon to early evening.) With this schedule, I am available for swing-bys to check in or have a quick walk as well as stay overnight to help where I can and take the morning to be with your pet(s). I do have my own little guys at home who I take care of so I would take time through the days assigned to take care of both of my own and yours! I will not be boarding any pets in my own house. I have my own two furry ones and they aren't the most excited around other dogs unfortunately. I hope to be able to care for your pet while they are in your own home!
“Aubrey was so sweet and professional! She sent us plenty of pictures and videos of our baby, so we were kept up to date and it was easier to be away. She followed instructions very well and we will definitely be using her for future trips! 🥰”

“My boy loves Debora. We've used her a couple of times now to stay at our house. She arrives exactly when she says she will. We don't worry about leaving our pup with her. We all look forward to the many pictures and updates she sends through out her stay. We already have her booked for our next out of town travel.”

“Words do not express how grateful I am for Temi. I was a first time Rover user, for an overnight stay for 5 days. I have two dogs that vary in temperament. We originally were simply going to board our dogs at a local pet “hotel”. These plans fell through, and we decided to give Rover a try. From the moment Temi decided to accept our overnight booking, she was VERY professional and personable. She asked all the right questions to understand how to best support our two fur babies while we were out of town. Her communication is TOP NOTCH, and she continued to update us via the APP. It felt good to get pictures and videos, which confirmed our first babies were happy and well cared for. Temi is amazing because she immediately caught on to helping our younger fur baby with improving her leash manners. In today’s society it’s not always you find someone who goes above and beyond. Temi did, and I am so appreciative that she accepted our booking. She will now be our go to for any out of town visits. Thank you 🙏🏾 so much Temi!!!”

“Claire was timely, professional, and a wonderful dog sitter for our 4 dogs. We booked her last minute and couldn't have been happier. She provided frequent updates and when we got home it was clear our dogs had been well loved!”

About: I’ve cared for dogs and cats for family friends for several years, providing reliable and loving care while they’re away. I’m experienced with feeding, walks, litter box cleaning, playtime, and following each pet’s routine to keep them happy, comfortable, and well cared for. Pet care fits easily into my current routine because I have a very flexible schedule and am available most of the time. I don’t currently work, so I’m able to dedicate plenty of time and attention to caring for pets. My schedule can vary, but with enough notice I’m happy to accommodate different needs, whether that’s drop-ins, walks, feeding, playtime, or extended care. I will follow each pet’s specific needs, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications if needed, and any other instructions provided. I do not offer boarding at my home, but I am happy to provide attentive and reliable care where your pets feel most.

“Desiré took good care of my puppy she was left alone at home sadly we forgot to refill her food container plus we temporarily lost the key so she was left with no security at home. I’m thankful I was able to find her and got a response immediately and came home fed her and took her for a 4 walks! Stayed 5 hrs while we were away. Thank you so much for your service!”

“Rileigh did such a great job with Phoebe, I'm so grateful! My puppy absolutely loves her and that tells me a lot. She was on time, was giving me plenty of updates throughout the day, and can tell she was playing a lot with my high energy puppy which is all I can ask for and more. Thank you again for taking care of my baby!”

We love having Yoli come stay at our home to take care of our dog. She is conscientious and leaves our home in better condition than we left it. And best of all, she loves our dog like her own (and our dog LOVES her). I recommend Yoli to everyone! I will always ask her first if she is available.

Leni stepped up to watch our girls last minute when things fell through with another sitter. She was incredibly professional and communicative! We got photos and updates of our babies everyday and came home to happy healthy girls 🥰 could not recommend her more!!

Rylan was amazing in every aspect, organized, efficient and good communicator. She provided live-in house sitting and dog sitting for my 2 dogs, one of whom is elderly and the other has special needs. The special needs dog required a time consuming feeding process, twice a day, and takes 5 medications. Rylan had no problems with any of these detailed instructions. The house was left spotless. The dogs were happy and healthy when I got home. I would not hesitate to use her services again and highly recommend this very capable and trustworthy woman.

We absolutely love, Justine! She was the epitome of professionalism, she was on time, is a great communicator, gave daily updates, extremely responsible, dependable, and trustworthy. And most importantly, my two dogs adored her! She was so sweet and patient with my quirky pups, both of our fur babies can be challenging in different ways, but Justine handled them effortlessly. We highly recommend Justine to care for your pups!

Tori was very nice to my cats and gave them lots of love and treats! Even my supposedly shy cat Besito came out of day 1 to socialize! I received lots of videos and pictures :)! But Tori didn’t take out the trash on Friday morning. . There was one time my cat Besito stole Momo lunch’s when she wasn’t supposed to I think she left the door open :(

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Arbor Trace on Rover is $58.83 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of August 2026, there are 4,649 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Arbor Trace. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Arbor Trace walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Arbor Trace maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Arbor Trace choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
