“I was very nervous about going on vacation for five days leaving my animals, but I found Abigail on Rover and she was absolutely amazing. I’ve told my friends about her. She took very good care of my animals. I would definitely recommend her. She gave me detailed information and updates on my babies. Thank you Abigail. You are the best.”

“Eric has a very calm demeanor that my dogs responded to (10-month-old and 10-year-old German Shorthaired Pointers). I was comfortable leaving him not only with my animals but also in my home. Will definitely use him again.”

“Leslie was great with my pup Bogey! She communicated often, sent pictures and kept me updated on everything during the stay. The house was probably better than I had left it when I got home! I will definitely use Leslie again!”

About: I have personally cared for small and medium-sized dogs, including those with special needs, for the last 12 years and I have had many friends who have trusted me to babysit theirs as well while on vacation etc. I also have three pups of my own! Safety, love and gentleness are my approach to these such sweet beings. I am also interactive, attentive and love to play! I am available early mornings, mid-day, and evenings for walks and visits on weekdays and weekends. My availability is very flexible so just let me know what you need in terms of my presence with your pup(s). I am always highly respectful of a pet parent’s home. I only provide food/treats approved by doggie parents. Will follow any rules and routines with care. Helping your pup to feel comfortable, nurtured and loved is my utmost priority.
About: Hello! Please call me Elliot! I have been surrounded by animals my entire life. I have had a variety of pets up until today. From bulldogs, to pomeranians, to labs, to all types of cats (indoor and out), I have grown confident in my presence and my ability to care for all kinds of furry loved ones. I can confidently complete any daily task needed, long or short walks, litter box or yard cleaning, giving liquid or pill medicine, and, of course, cuddle time. I am diligent and always ready to learn about your personal routines and needs to keep up with you and your pet's/s' health and comfort. I've worked with many, have house-sat for households with both dogs and cats, and have volunteered at PAWS Atlanta to understand the needs of those animals who need a bit more attention and love than some others. I pride myself on my consideration and patience and am looking forward to learning the ropes of your unique pet! I will be starting my graduate program this August and will have classes Monday through Wednesday (late afternoon to early evening.) With this schedule, I am available for swing-bys to check in or have a quick walk as well as stay overnight to help where I can and take the morning to be with your pet(s). I do have my own little guys at home who I take care of so I would take time through the days assigned to take care of both of my own and yours! I will not be boarding any pets in my own house. I have my own two furry ones and they aren't the most excited around other dogs unfortunately. I hope to be able to care for your pet while they are in your own home!

“Desiré took good care of my puppy she was left alone at home sadly we forgot to refill her food container plus we temporarily lost the key so she was left with no security at home. I’m thankful I was able to find her and got a response immediately and came home fed her and took her for a 4 walks! Stayed 5 hrs while we were away. Thank you so much for your service!”

“Aaliya was amazing from start to finish. Before our trip, she took the time to come meet us and June so we could make sure everyone was comfortable, and right away we could see how much she genuinely loves and cares for dogs. We were away for over a week, and having Aaliya stay with June gave us so much peace of mind. She kept us updated with lots of pictures and videos, took June on walks, and stayed in touch with us throughout the entire trip. It was clear that June was well cared for and loved while we were gone. We are so grateful for everything she did, and we would absolutely choose Aaliya again to watch June in the future. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and reliable pet sitter! 🐾❤️”

“Leeah took such great care of Augie! I loved that she sent updates with pictures on how she was doing, and also left notes before she left on the final day. Would highly recommend her!”

Pet care seamlessly integrates into my daily routine with morning walks, midday play sessions, and evening cuddle time - your dog becomes part of my everyday life. Your dog's safety and comfort are my absolute priorities. My home features a fully fenced yard where dogs can play and exercise securely without any escape risks. Before any stay, I conduct a thorough meet-and-greet to ensure your pup gets along well with my two friendly, well-socialized dogs who love having playmates.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs of every kind since I was little, including my own pit bull and shih tzu. Having experience with both high energy and low energy dogs has taught me how to adjust my care to fit each pup’s needs. Friends, neighbors, and family have trusted me to walk, feed, bathe, and provide loving attention to their pets. Whether your dog needs active playtime or a calm, cozy companion, I’ll make sure they feel happy, safe, and cared for. I work from home, so my schedule is very flexible and I’m available throughout the day and week. This allows me to give your pets plenty of attention, playtime, and care whenever they need it. When caring for pets in their own home, I do my best to keep their routine the same so they feel comfortable and secure. I’ll make sure they’re fed on schedule, get plenty of walks or playtime, and always have fresh water. I’ll also give them lots of love and attention, and I’m happy to send photo updates so you can feel at ease while you’re away.
“We’ve now used Natalie twice and both experiences have been great. Everything went smoothly, she took wonderful care of our pets and home, and we felt completely at ease while we were away. We’ll definitely continue to use her and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable sitter.”

“Kimberlee was an excellent sitter for our two dogs. One of our dogs is very anxious and takes a long time to warm up to people, but she quickly warmed up to Kimberlee. Kimberlee kept our house tidy and even watered our plants. We would definitely book with Kimberlee again.”

“Perfect! Our sweet fur babies were cared for so wonderfully, Yi sent many updates and pictures of our 3 boys and they seemed to enjoy her company as well. This was our first time using rover and we were so glad with who we allowed in our home and around our fur babies!!”

“Yoli dog sat for my two pups (pit mix and lab mix). She did an exceptional job handling their schedules (food, sleep, and walks). She left the house better than she found it and sent many pictures of my babies while I was away. Yoli will definitely be at the top of my list for sitters!”

About: I have never known life without pets! I grew up with both dogs and cars and loved teaching them fun tricks, playing with them, and getting in as much snuggle time as possible. My grandma has always had Great Danes, so I am comfortable caring for extremely large dogs, and my family has always had a special love for Golden Retrievers. My childhood puppy lived to be 18 years old, so I also have experience caring for older animals and taking the extra special care required. I currently have two cats of my own who I have raised since birth. They are happy, healthy babies who love to eat, sleep, play, and even do tricks of their own (my favorite is the fist bump)! I am a lover of all animals and regularly take my Great Pyrenees/Golden Retriever mix on two mile evening walks, which is her favorite part of the day. I love taking the time to get to know each animal individually and care for them according to their own needs and preferences. I would love the opportunity to provide your pets with the care they deserve! I am currently in a transitional phase of my career and taking time to approach my next steps. Due to this, I have extremely open availability and can be very flexible according to your needs. In my home, I have a dog who loves to play throughout the day and absolutely loves being outside. I make sure that she gets her walks in each day and sufficient outdoor and indoor playtime. I also have two cats, who are 3 and 7 years old, that love to play with each other and snuggle with me. My younger cat adores my dog, and they typically spend the evenings in the living room with me on the couch. My cats don’t miss any opportunity to sleep in my lap or by my side when I am stationary. They each have their own medical histories that require special feeding routines that are meticulously scheduled and followed each day. When I am away, my family cares for my babies.
“Felipe took care of our home and furry kids for almost two weeks, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. He is incredibly responsible, dependable, and kind. Milo and Lulu clearly adored him—you could see it in the photos he shared with us. After reading his Rover reviews, it’s easy to see why Felipe is so highly rated. He is very respectful, neat, and tidy, and he kept our home in impeccable condition. He washed the bedding and towels used, which was such a thoughtful and much-appreciated gesture. Thank you Felipe! We were also lucky enough to spend some time with Felipe over a cup of tea or 2, and get to know him personally. He is a genuinely caring, smart and honest person, and we felt completely at ease knowing our home and furry kids were in his care. He is exactly the kind of person you want looking after your home and pets. In movie terms, I’d award Felipe an Oscar ⭐️”

“Fallin is a great catsitter! She kept me updated at all times and I received lots of pictures of my Maya. I didn't feel worried at all because I got pictures throughout the day 🙂 When Fallin was at our house, she cuddled with Maya a lot and was vigilant about keeping Maya's cone on (Maya is on medication right now). When we came home, Maya looked happy and energetic. We recommend hiring Fallin as a catsitter!”

Alexis was exactly what we were looking for to take care of our Sniper for the weekend! She was extremely communicative and sent great pictures of our boy whenever she had the chance to! Our Sniper can tend to be stubborn and has some special needs that Alexis handled like a total pro. We 10/10 recommend and will be booking her again for future stays. Thank you Alexis!

It was my first time leaving my cat for a vacation. Ashley listened to my requests and responded promptly. Her updates were always top tier. She and her son tag teamed at nights to make sure my cat would have a good time (plenty of playing time) and not feel lonely. Her bowls were kept hygienic and water replenished as needed. Glad I found her to look after my cat!

We love having Yoli come stay at our home to take care of our dog. She is conscientious and leaves our home in better condition than we left it. And best of all, she loves our dog like her own (and our dog LOVES her). I recommend Yoli to everyone! I will always ask her first if she is available.

Leni stepped up to watch our girls last minute when things fell through with another sitter. She was incredibly professional and communicative! We got photos and updates of our babies everyday and came home to happy healthy girls 🥰 could not recommend her more!!

Rylan was amazing in every aspect, organized, efficient and good communicator. She provided live-in house sitting and dog sitting for my 2 dogs, one of whom is elderly and the other has special needs. The special needs dog required a time consuming feeding process, twice a day, and takes 5 medications. Rylan had no problems with any of these detailed instructions. The house was left spotless. The dogs were happy and healthy when I got home. I would not hesitate to use her services again and highly recommend this very capable and trustworthy woman.

We absolutely love, Justine! She was the epitome of professionalism, she was on time, is a great communicator, gave daily updates, extremely responsible, dependable, and trustworthy. And most importantly, my two dogs adored her! She was so sweet and patient with my quirky pups, both of our fur babies can be challenging in different ways, but Justine handled them effortlessly. We highly recommend Justine to care for your pups!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Arbor Trace walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Arbor Trace maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Arbor Trace choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Arbor Trace. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
