“Abby is amazing! She provided consistent updates and pictures while house/cat sitting. I never once felt uneasy or uncomfortable being away from my cats because I knew she was taking such good care of them. Even though my cats were too grumpy to fully engage with Abby, she respected their space and let them work up the courage to approach her. She also left our home very clean and organized. We highly recommend her for some peace of mind. We’re looking forward to booking with her again.”

“Leslie sat for our two dogs and was not only amazing with our dogs but was also a gracious houseguest. She is warm, friendly, genuine and just a lovely all around person. I highly recommend her for your pups and we will certainly be repeat customers!!”

“Alexis is an easygoing, fun-to-be-around lady. She listens, takes notes, asks specific questions and likes dogs even when they jump up and be rude. I wish I could hire her on a weekly basis to watch my babies, even without going on vacation, haha.”

Whether it's boarding, drop-in visits, or house-sitting, I can accommodate a variety of schedules while giving each pet the attention, exercise, and companionship they deserve. I have a fenced back yard and three friendly small dogs who enjoy meeting new companions but can also keep pets separated or crate them if preferred. I have a spacious house with no kids with plenty of room for individual care. I carefully follow each pet's routine, feeding schedule, medications and any special instructions to help them feel safe and at home.
“Eric was great with my two cats, one of which is very anxious and took some serious coaxing and warming up to get her out and about. He even bought them a laser to play with them as we did not have one ourselves (just other toys)! Eric left the house in good order and was very respectful of the space. He kept in communication with us, which was much appreciated as we were first time Rover users and have never left the cats for that long before. He was patient with us in that respect. :) Thanks Eric!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs of every kind since I was little, including my own pit bull and shih tzu. Having experience with both high energy and low energy dogs has taught me how to adjust my care to fit each pup’s needs. Friends, neighbors, and family have trusted me to walk, feed, bathe, and provide loving attention to their pets. Whether your dog needs active playtime or a calm, cozy companion, I’ll make sure they feel happy, safe, and cared for. I work from home, so my schedule is very flexible and I’m available throughout the day and week. This allows me to give your pets plenty of attention, playtime, and care whenever they need it. I’ll also give them lots of love and attention, and I’m happy to send photo updates so you can feel at ease while you’re away.
About: Hello! Please call me Elliot! I have been surrounded by animals my entire life. I have had a variety of pets up until today. From bulldogs, to pomeranians, to labs, to all types of cats (indoor and out), I have grown confident in my presence and my ability to care for all kinds of furry loved ones. I can confidently complete any daily task needed, long or short walks, litter box or yard cleaning, giving liquid or pill medicine, and, of course, cuddle time. I am diligent and always ready to learn about your personal routines and needs to keep up with you and your pet's/s' health and comfort. I've worked with many, have house-sat for households with both dogs and cats, and have volunteered at PAWS Atlanta to understand the needs of those animals who need a bit more attention and love than some others. I pride myself on my consideration and patience and am looking forward to learning the ropes of your unique pet! I will be starting my graduate program this August and will have classes Monday through Wednesday (late afternoon to early evening.) With this schedule, I am available for swing-bys to check in or have a quick walk as well as stay overnight to help where I can and take the morning to be with your pet(s). I do have my own little guys at home who I take care of so I would take time through the days assigned to take care of both of my own and yours! I will not be boarding any pets in my own house. I have my own two furry ones and they aren't the most excited around other dogs unfortunately. I hope to be able to care for your pet while they are in your own home!

“Words do not express how grateful I am for Temi. I was a first time Rover user, for an overnight stay for 5 days. I have two dogs that vary in temperament. We originally were simply going to board our dogs at a local pet “hotel”. These plans fell through, and we decided to give Rover a try. From the moment Temi decided to accept our overnight booking, she was VERY professional and personable. She asked all the right questions to understand how to best support our two fur babies while we were out of town. Her communication is TOP NOTCH, and she continued to update us via the APP. It felt good to get pictures and videos, which confirmed our first babies were happy and well cared for. Temi is amazing because she immediately caught on to helping our younger fur baby with improving her leash manners. In today’s society it’s not always you find someone who goes above and beyond. Temi did, and I am so appreciative that she accepted our booking. She will now be our go to for any out of town visits. Thank you 🙏🏾 so much Temi!!!”

“Yoli dog sat for my two pups (pit mix and lab mix). She did an exceptional job handling their schedules (food, sleep, and walks). She left the house better than she found it and sent many pictures of my babies while I was away. Yoli will definitely be at the top of my list for sitters!”

“Claire was so helpful showing up to take care of Luna and Kiki last minute so I could go see my grandmother in the hospital. She made my travel and time spent with family worry free knowing my girls were taken care of. Thank you so so much!”

“We Loved having Kimmie take care of our fur baby! What a peace of mind knowing someone was there tending to all her needs! We will use her again next time we need someone to watch our girl! Thank you!”

“Aubrey was great! She provided regular updates, left the home in perfect condition and made me feel at ease knowing Theodore was cared for. I will absolutely book again!”

Brenda was amazing! We just recently moved to the area and had to make a trip back to our hometown in NJ. We were very anxious trusting a brand new person in a brand new state! But Brenda gave us all the comfort we needed! She sent updated photos and videos of Nutella and checked in with us often. Nutella can be a handful with her anxiety and hiding from fireworks/thunderstorms and Brenda handled her so well! We could really tell because Nutella was happy go lucky when we arrived home. (Normally she’s hiding in a corner mad at us for leaving) But with Brenda, she was feeling her best. We would absolutely book her again and again!

We love having Yoli come stay at our home to take care of our dog. She is conscientious and leaves our home in better condition than we left it. And best of all, she loves our dog like her own (and our dog LOVES her). I recommend Yoli to everyone! I will always ask her first if she is available.

Rylan was amazing in every aspect, organized, efficient and good communicator. She provided live-in house sitting and dog sitting for my 2 dogs, one of whom is elderly and the other has special needs. The special needs dog required a time consuming feeding process, twice a day, and takes 5 medications. Rylan had no problems with any of these detailed instructions. The house was left spotless. The dogs were happy and healthy when I got home. I would not hesitate to use her services again and highly recommend this very capable and trustworthy woman.

We absolutely love, Justine! She was the epitome of professionalism, she was on time, is a great communicator, gave daily updates, extremely responsible, dependable, and trustworthy. And most importantly, my two dogs adored her! She was so sweet and patient with my quirky pups, both of our fur babies can be challenging in different ways, but Justine handled them effortlessly. We highly recommend Justine to care for your pups!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Whitlock Farms on Rover is $39.96 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of August 2026, there are 4,498 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Whitlock Farms. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Whitlock Farms walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Whitlock Farms maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Whitlock Farms choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Whitlock Farms. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
