“Obie and I were extremely satisfied with Katie's care and attention. He will be happy to have her return in the future. She is dependable, kind and consistent who sent many pictures of her daily visits! Thank you, Katie!”

About: I am very flexible, love a good routine, love them like they are my own kids, and will give them all the attention they need! I am a stay at home mom and go to school mostly online while the kiddos are at school. I am pretty flexible/available for your needed pet care! I am good with whatever directions and care are needed. I love to help & treat them like my own! I love a good routine!
About: I have never known life without pets! I grew up with both dogs and cars and loved teaching them fun tricks, playing with them, and getting in as much snuggle time as possible. My grandma has always had Great Danes, so I am comfortable caring for extremely large dogs, and my family has always had a special love for Golden Retrievers. My childhood puppy lived to be 18 years old, so I also have experience caring for older animals and taking the extra special care required. I currently have two cats of my own who I have raised since birth. They are happy, healthy babies who love to eat, sleep, play, and even do tricks of their own (my favorite is the fist bump)! I am a lover of all animals and regularly take my Great Pyrenees/Golden Retriever mix on two mile evening walks, which is her favorite part of the day. I love taking the time to get to know each animal individually and care for them according to their own needs and preferences. I would love the opportunity to provide your pets with the care they deserve! I am currently in a transitional phase of my career and taking time to approach my next steps. Due to this, I have extremely open availability and can be very flexible according to your needs. In my home, I have a dog who loves to play throughout the day and absolutely loves being outside. I make sure that she gets her walks in each day and sufficient outdoor and indoor playtime. I also have two cats, who are 3 and 7 years old, that love to play with each other and snuggle with me. My younger cat adores my dog, and they typically spend the evenings in the living room with me on the couch. My cats don’t miss any opportunity to sleep in my lap or by my side when I am stationary. They each have their own medical histories that require special feeding routines that are meticulously scheduled and followed each day. When I am away, my family cares for my babies.
“Thank you so much that I have found Ashley! It is so hard for me to find sitters as my dog takes a while to get used to anyone else but me. She was patient, very kind and you can tell right from the bat she was a dog person. She was soo sweet to my baby as he does get a lil shy and takes a long time to warm up to someone. Def will be a repeat client! You won’t regret booking her! Thank you Ashley!”
About: I've been taking care of animals a vast majority of my life. From fish and birds to dogs and cats. I have experience caring for animals in all stages of life. I also have prior experience working with all types of dogs, as I used to work at a professional daycare and boarding business as a room attendant. There I was a keyholder, prepped dog food and meds, as well as picked up after any messes without any difficulty. I live with two dogs myself, and watch them for my roommate when he goes out of town. I do have cats that don't mind dogs too much. I have a fenced in back yard and a dog door that goes out to the back as well. I love working with my own cats, as well as the fur babies of others to better understand dog, cat, and general animal behaviors. I love animals, so getting to work with them fuels said love. I treat all animals as if they’re mine. I believe in positive reinforcement training, as well as redirecting misbehavior to something more entertaining for both me and the pet.

About: I’ve lived with and cared for dogs my entire life, and they’ve always been one of my favorite parts of life. I also care for rabbits and guinea pigs, so I understand the responsibility and commitment that comes with keeping pets happy, healthy, and safe every day. What sets me apart is that I truly enjoy spending time with animals and treat every pet with the same love, patience, and attention I give my own. I understand that every pet has a unique personality and routine, and I’m committed to providing dependable care while keeping you updated so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. I am available for pet care throughout the week with the exception of Monday mornings and afternoons, when I work until 5 PM. I have a consistent daily routine and will always communicate my availability clearly with pet parents. I do have my own pets that I care for, including two guinea pigs and a rabbit, so I will need to return home briefly each day to maintain their feeding and care routine. I am happy to discuss schedules with each pet parent to make sure their pet’s needs are fully met. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I take the time to learn each dog’s unique routine, feeding schedule, exercise needs, personality, and any special instructions you provide. I keep their environment clean and safe, pay close attention to their behavior, and make sure they have fresh water, plenty of love, and the care they need while you’re away. I will provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident that your pet is happy, comfortable, and well cared for. When caring for your dog in your home, I will treat your pet and your space with the same respect, patience, and care that I give my own.
About: I have had experience with dogs since I was very young, and I currently have two dogs that I raised from puppies. They are complete opposites from each other in size and temperament and have very different needs, so I feel confident caring for different dogs that may have different needs. Whether you need someone to swing by and give your pup a nice walk, or someone reliable to drop in and let them out, feed them, or just play with your dog while you’re out, I’d love to be that person for you and your dog! I currently work another job 4 days a week, and have the other 3 off. I’m available Sunday, Tuesday & Wednesday 11am- 4:30pm. I have a 6 year old daughter that I pick up from school at 6:30pm so I just want to make sure I have enough time to get back to pick her up also ☺️ I currently have our two dogs crate trained, so I feel comfortable crating your dog/s if needed. I can feed, play, give medicine (if needed) and walk your dog at your home. I would prefer to do a meet and greet with all owners and dogs before hand, so a new person coming into there home isn’t a surprise to the dog and also just to make sure it’s a good match for everyone involved ☺️

“This was the second time we hired Layla and it won't be the last. We've now used her for both boarding and dog walking. When our bluetick hound boarded with her, she came home happy and healthy. Layla is easy to work with and a timely communicator.”

“Rosemary went above and beyond caring for our two dogs while we were in Hawaii for the week. She was accommodating to one of our dog's social anxiety and sent dozens of pictures of them throughout their time together. 100% will book again :)”

“I am on maternity leave and decided I definitely needed help walking our husky. I truly adored Chloe and would absolutely have her again! She is punctual and our dogs loved her. Thank you, Chloe!!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Whitlock Farms
Makenzie has been wonderful with my three dogs (ranging from 13 to 35 lbs). They can be quite sensitive and need a little extra care, and she handled them perfectly. She’s very knowledgeable about dogs and especially good with anxious pups. My dogs really liked her and always came back happy from their walks. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring dog walker!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
