“Katie is a natural with animals! My skittish Great Dane is paw-sitively enamored with her new best friend who takes her for fun walks, and Katie goes above and beyond by making sure the cat gets some love too. Whether your pet is 10 or 110lbs she handles them with the ease and experience of a pro!”
“We had the pleasure of having Emily babysit and walk our puppy recently, and we couldn't be happier with her service. She was incredibly professional and arrived on time. We highly recommend Emily to anyone in need of a reliable and caring sitter!”

“I was a first time Rover user, due to boarding at a local pet daycare not working out. I have two in tact opposite gender fur babies, who have never been cared for by anyone but their in home family….us. My family and I went on a 5 day vacation and needed to have them walked 3x per day. Due to the turnaround time, the walker needed to be booked within 48 hours. Being a novice, I thought I would need to cancel my family’s vacation. Cheyenne accepted my booking and was such a gem! Cheyenne went above and beyond during the 5 days she was booked to walk my two fur babies. She was so kind to keep with their walk times to the minute. She was never late and always on time. My two fur babies took to her immediately, which to me was the best feeling as a fur parent. She even taught me how to use the Rover App! She sent pictures as a part of their walk report card. I know Cheyenne will now be our go to, anytime we are needing a qualified and loving sitter! Thank you so much Cheyenne again for taking our booking. 🥰”

“Caroline was timely and communicated with me about the walk and how my pupper was doing. She made sure my dog’s water bowl was replenished after their walk. Would recommend Caroline!”

About: I've been taking care of animals a vast majority of my life. From fish and birds to dogs and cats. I have experience caring for animals in all stages of life. I also have prior experience working with all types of dogs, as I used to work at a professional daycare and boarding business as a room attendant. There I was a keyholder, prepped dog food and meds, as well as picked up after any messes without any difficulty. I live with two dogs myself, and watch them for my roommate when he goes out of town. I do have cats that don't mind dogs too much. I have a fenced in back yard and a dog door that goes out to the back as well. I love working with my own cats, as well as the fur babies of others to better understand dog, cat, and general animal behaviors. I love animals, so getting to work with them fuels said love. I treat all animals as if they’re mine. I believe in positive reinforcement training, as well as redirecting misbehavior to something more entertaining for both me and the pet.
“I was so fortunate to have Ashley accept a last minute booking with my Westie. She is super friendly and asked all the right questions. Ashley came for a meet and greet and I could see her love for dogs and knew she and Cha Cha would get along well. Will definitely use her again.”

About: I am a dog mom of 15 years! In addition to providing a safe, welcoming home for my own furbaby Tinky, I've also had experience with long term care of my sister's dog during necessary times. I have experience with medication, allergies, upset tummies, and all of the ups and downs that your baby may experience. I will treat your dog like I do mine, and they will get lots of cuddles, love, and attention. I look forward to welcoming your dog to their favorite home away from home! I'm currently working from home, so I will always be here during your pet's stay. If there is a time that I am away from home, it is usually no longer than 1-2 hours for errands or necessary appointments I have a sizable closed in patio where your dog can sit and enjoy the weather or sunbathe. The door will remain open at all times so they can choose when they're ready to come inside. If you prefer to crate your pet I have a crate available for use (just bring a pillow and blanket :) *I have 1 dog (Tinky) that will be in my home at all times.* The other dog attached to my profile will not be in the home, she is my sister's dog and is currently back home with her mommy :)
“This was the second time we hired Layla and it won't be the last. We've now used her for both boarding and dog walking. When our bluetick hound boarded with her, she came home happy and healthy. Layla is easy to work with and a timely communicator.”

“Wow, Bubbles and I lucked out! Isabelle is fantastic for my high energy dog!! Bubbles has a bit of stranger danger and i asked for a slow intro and Isabelle was happy to oblige . So incredibly knowledgeable about different behavior issues and dog breeds, and listened to every concern when it came to turning over the leash. We are about a week in and i absolutely feel like i can go back to work and not worry. Im so happy i found them.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Arbor Trace
It's my first time using Rover and Ashley was great! She updated me throughout the entire walk with my dog, Latte. She truly cares about animals and I would definitely book with Ashley again if Latte needs her walk. Thank you Ashley for taking care of Latte while I was away ☺️

Makenzie has been wonderful with my three dogs (ranging from 13 to 35 lbs). They can be quite sensitive and need a little extra care, and she handled them perfectly. She’s very knowledgeable about dogs and especially good with anxious pups. My dogs really liked her and always came back happy from their walks. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring dog walker!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
