About: I have an extensive background with caring and loving dogs! I had a French Bulldog named Stitch who stole my heart and helped me fall in love with the hearts and souls of all animals! We can discuss those conditions and what that may look like as it applies to your request!** ***Unable to accommodate Protective Breeds (small puppies of those breeds are okay)! **For the continued safety and security of all fur babies during bookings, I only accept ONE family’s pets at a time for boarding and/or daycare in my home. Up to 3 pets, unless family has a special request for additional pets. *PickUp/DropOff Services Available for Surrounding Area of Duluth Only-When Available (Duluth, Suwanee, Alpharetta, Johns Creek, Peachtree Corners, Norcross) I have a fenced yard which is accessible to fur babies often during their stay. Pets can be crated if owners are working on crate training or at owner’s request. Pets are also welcomed to sleep in my bedroom.
About: I’ve had dogs all of my life. I got “my” first dog when I was 11. He was a Jack Russell named Patches and lived to be 15. In college, I got a terrier mix named Claire. She lived to be 16. After Claire passed, I adopted June Bug and Ryder, two lab mixes. Ryder and I trained to be a therapy dog team and worked in assisted living homes cheering up the residents. I have gone through many hours of training with both June Bug and Ryder and am considering working for a dog trainer when I retire from my teaching job. Ryder passed away in May 2026. I recently retired from the field of special education and I’m ready to care for four-legged babies! I know how stressful it can be to find someone to watch your babies or to board them, so I’d just like to help. That’s my main focus. My pups are my kids. I’ll treat yours like family too. I am a recently retired (but still young!) special educator so I am extremely flexible these days. I’ll keep my calendar up to date for availability. When I come to your home, I will treat it like my own. I am responsible enough to follow all directions you leave. I can administer oral medications, feed, check mail, water plants, etc
“Mary took wonderful care of Sophie! She was so sweet to make sure Sophie was all good before she left. I will definitely use Mary again and would recommend her for your furry best friends as well!”
“First time hiring a walker for our 8.5 year old German Shepherd girl and Max was perfect for her! Max came by a couple days prior to meet with Lulu and she loved on him right away. Max was great with Lulu on her walks and let me know how well she did with him. He took the cutest photos of our girl so that always made our day. I would definitely rehire Max!”

About: I've been taking care of animals a vast majority of my life. From fish and birds to dogs and cats. I have experience caring for animals in all stages of life. I also have prior experience working with all types of dogs, as I used to work at a professional daycare and boarding business as a room attendant. There I was a keyholder, prepped dog food and meds, as well as picked up after any messes without any difficulty. I live with two dogs myself, and watch them for my roommate when he goes out of town. I do have cats that don't mind dogs too much. I have a fenced in back yard and a dog door that goes out to the back as well. I love working with my own cats, as well as the fur babies of others to better understand dog, cat, and general animal behaviors. I love animals, so getting to work with them fuels said love. I treat all animals as if they’re mine. I believe in positive reinforcement training, as well as redirecting misbehavior to something more entertaining for both me and the pet.
“From the meet & greet to the day of booking, Lindsey was great. Very sweet, punctual and she gave me a peace of mind that Bella was in good hands. I look forward to being able to use her in the future ☺️”

“Charlene was wonderful with my little grumble! She came to take my three pugs for a long stroll and and they enjoyed spending time with her. She took lots of videos and had good communication. Thanks so much!”

“This is my first time using a service to walk my dogs and didn’t know what to expect. Sophia is just incredible. She immediately put my family and my dogs at ease and has just been a blessing. She is a rockstar.”

About: I have house sitted for friends for weeks at times caring for their pets as well. I have also pet sat dogs, cats, and even a pig... I wish I was joking but animals of all kind need caring for at times. I am CPR certified and am intuitive of changes in animals the more time I spend with them. I am a teacher and have alot more free time now that it's summer time but would love to do this year round, walking dogs or house sitting when I can. I will not be caring for pets in my home since I live with roommates with allergies so I will only house-sit or walk dogs.

“Jennifer has been great. My newly rescued pup is still dealing with some injuries and Jennifer did not hesitate to take her on. She is consistent and gives great feedback about Sadie well being! It’s obvious she really cares about the dogs that she works with.”

About: Hi there! I’ve been a pet lover my entire life! My family has raised many cats and dogs. Our home currently has one spoiled pup. Our fur babies isspoiled rotten - we have multiple dog beds throughout our home and he loves to lounge around pretty much daily. In our home, we walk the neighborhood frequently and visit our local dog park as much as we can! I work from home so I’m available throughout the day to care for your fur babies. I’d like to know more about your fur babies normal day-to-day routine to provide a comfortable environment. I’d also like to know about any medical conditions / diagnosis I should look for while watching your baby. Hopefully your fur babies are pup friendly as our senior dog loves to make new friends! Happy to help! Our senior dog loves to walk the neighborhood and nearby park. We usually walk both our park and our neighborhood daily (as long as weather permits). We also play in our front yard and visit neighborhood friends often. Our home has plenty of comfy spots for fur babies to lounge around and hang. Our senior dog loves new friends and is happy to share treats and toys. We also have a large crate if needed to make fur friends more comfortable.

Zamiyah was awesome! From the meet & greet to the day of booking. Her communication & punctuality are A1 and the fact that she has fur babies of her own really made me feel comfortable knowing that while she was caring for my baby, she would treat her like her own. If you’re looking for someone reliable and caring for your fur baby you should definitely book her! ❤️

Ren has been a consistent dog walker for our pup, Indy for the past several months. She is the best of the best. You can tell from the photos that our girl is smiling ear to ear. Ren goes the extra mile to communicate if she notices anything out of the normal — we feel that our dog has been in the BEST hands. I would recommend Ren a thousand times over.

Mark and Brenda have been helping us consistently for several years and needless to say, they have become part of our family. They are incredibly reliable and always communicate when they may be unavailable so we can plan way ahead of time. And most importantly, our dog Rae, who was very tough to handle from the start, immediately took to them and we know she is in great and capable hands! Thank you so much Mark and Brenda for always being there for us and our two dogs. Do not hesitate to book your appointments with them!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
