“Last minute vacation and we found Annie. Couldn’t be more pleased!!! She is reliable, communicates well and provided regular feedback! Annie played a lot of fetch with our 2 young labs which they love. Kept the boys happy while we’re out of town. Thanks Annie!”

About: I’ve been a lover of pets and animals since I can remember. I’ve been very involved in the training and care processes of all of my pets, so I’ve had experience from a young age. I work full time from home, so I’m available before 9 am or after 5 pm during the week with a break from 12-1 that I am willing to work during as well. I am typically fully open during the weekend. I am also a full time student this fall semester with classes Monday and Wednesday morning, as well as Wednesday night. I am happy to work around this as much as needed! I can assist with any pet care needs including feedings and walks, and more unique needs with medication or any interesting habits. I am confident that I can assist with your pets and their needs!
“Alexis was what I needed!!! She came on time! She did a great job communicating with me! She was very attentive to my fur son! She played with him, gave him attention, and was just there for him overall. She followed my schedule that I left for him, too! She returned my home to me the same way I’d left it for her, which was appreciated. She is truly a sweetheart and my son absolutely adored her! I’m grateful I took a chance, and will continue to use her services again as long as she’s on the platform.”

“Taylor was great with Henry! She sent us daily updates and was an excellent house guest. It was clear from the pictures that Henry was enjoying his new friend while we were gone. Will be using Taylor again for our next trip!”

“We think Courtney is a 5 star dog sitter. We had her over before our trip to meet Benny and they were playing together quickly. After we spent some time with her we felt comfortable having her stay at our house and take care of him. She stayed with him the whole time we were gone and walked him at least 3 times a day. Our neighbors met her while she was walking him and told us he seemed happy. She also sent pictures and kept us updated which we really appreciated. We could tell Benny had a lot of play time. The house was well kept and she took care of plants and other things we asked her to do. Benny seemed sad when she left. We will definitely ask her back.”

“Liberty was wonderful and took such great care of my dogs. She was so responsible and professional. She was very responsive and great with communication. She sent several pictures and videos of my dogs when I was gone and provided many updates. She also stayed at the house and was very respectful and left the house just as I had left it. She was wonderful and I would highly recommend.”

“We went out of town just after Christmas and needed a dog sitter. We were very pleased to come home to a happy, healthy pup, we had great communication the whole time and received a set of pictures and updates every evening. We will be using Maria Abigail‘s dog sitting service again!”

“Amazing dog sitter! The first time I ever felt comfortable leaving my dogs while on vacation. My dogs lover her! She sent pictures, kept the house in order, and most importantly spoiled our dogs. Will definitely use Summer in the future!”

“Eric is as able to handle and care for 4 working border collies, a couple of cats and a tortoise without any issues ( this is no easy task!). He left the home clean and animals happy. We will rebook with him in the future.”

“Jesse was an incredible sitter for our 18 year old Chihuahua with daily Medication needs!! It was Rocco’s first Rover experience and when we came home from date night, Rocco was CALM, rested and HAPPY. :) He’s a VERY VERY PICKY CUSTOMER so JESSE made this worried Dog Mama Very RELIEVED and Thankful! We Will BOOK AGAIN!”

“Patty was amazing. She regularly shared pictures of the dogs and let me know how they were doing. My animals were a bit disappointed when I walked in after being gone and realized it wasn’t her. Would highly recommend.”

“Kate is the best! Our dogs were so comfortable with her and she sent so many updates— we never worried for a second! She left our house spotless and with happy dogs! Will definitely use Kate for house/pet sitting again.”

“My wife and I had the opportunity to take a 3 1/2 week trip out of the country. We weren’t sure what to do with our fur babies because it was too long to put either of them in a kennel. We looked at Rover‘s website and found Jenna who agreed to watch our fur babies in our home for the duration of our trip. Our beagle is a rescue who has a number of special needs due to abuse as a puppy. Jenna did a wonderful job of watching both our beagle and our kitty cat for the time we were gone. It’s obvious Jenna loves animals and we will certainly book her again if we ever need to leave town for an extended period. We highly recommend Jenna as that only a pet sitter, but a house sitter as well.”

“Brooke was amazing! She sent lots of pictures of updates of the pups. I felt good knowing my baby was being taken care of so well. I would definitely use Brooke again in the future for any pet sitting/house sitting needs. She left my home in better shape than she found it I appreciate her very much!”

“Savannah is an absolute gem! She recently took care of our 3 pups and our home while we spent a week at the beach, and she went above and beyond! She made sure we were updated on how the pups were doing and actively looked for ways to help us around our home to make our return so much easier. Our pups were so happy when we came home, we could tell they received so much TLC. Highly recommend!”

“Cathy is an absolute gem. From the first meeting with her we knew she would be a perfect fit for our girls. Her love for animals truly shows through when she takes care of Bella and Mia. Being Italian Greyhounds, they can be a bit on the quirky side, but she took it in stride. Her updates and pictures through out the day are above par for any sitter we have had. Looking forward to having Cathy house sit for us again soon.”

“Aaliya was amazing from start to finish. Before our trip, she took the time to come meet us and June so we could make sure everyone was comfortable, and right away we could see how much she genuinely loves and cares for dogs. We were away for over a week, and having Aaliya stay with June gave us so much peace of mind. She kept us updated with lots of pictures and videos, took June on walks, and stayed in touch with us throughout the entire trip. It was clear that June was well cared for and loved while we were gone. We are so grateful for everything she did, and we would absolutely choose Aaliya again to watch June in the future. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and reliable pet sitter! 🐾❤️”

“Kimberlee was an excellent sitter for our two dogs. One of our dogs is very anxious and takes a long time to warm up to people, but she quickly warmed up to Kimberlee. Kimberlee kept our house tidy and even watered our plants. We would definitely book with Kimberlee again.”

Diego has taken care of my baby other times and this time I decided to take a long vacation with the peace of mind Diego will take a good care of him. He is very responsable and respectful with the rules of the house. I can’t recommend him enough! Thank you Diego

Larissa was amazing with our girls a 40 lbs husky mix and an 80lb black lab for 8 days. Larissa stayed at our house with the girls and the house was just as clean or cleaner than when we left. Larissa sent pictures and videos daily and the girls seems to love staying with her. We definitely looking forward to using Larissa’s service again in the near future

Maddie is AMAZING!!! She went above and beyond in every way…sending regular updates, photos, and thoughtful messages that gave me total peace of mind while I was away. I would book her again in a heartbeat and recommend her to anyone looking for an exceptional sitter!

We had a great experience with our dog sitter, Kevin! He was incredibly patient with our dog, who can be a bit shy at first. While we were away, she really warmed up to him, which gave us so much peace of mind. It’s clear he genuinely cares about the dogs he looks after. We’d definitely trust Kevin again and highly recommend his services!

Whitney stayed with our 3 babies, (2 dogs, 1 cat), while we were away for a long weekend. She took excellent care of not only them but of our home. She sent regular updates along with pictures, which provided us with peace of mind knowing our little loves were in such capable and caring hands. When we returned home our babies were healthy, happy, and our home was in good order. From the moment we began chatting with her on Rover, to our meet n greet, Whitney impressed us with her timely communication, promptness, and warm, friendly personality. We are so grateful to Whitney for her care and will definitely use her again!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Sugar Hill on Rover is $58.85 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of August 2026, there are 3,686 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Sugar Hill. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Sugar Hill walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Sugar Hill maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Sugar Hill choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Sugar Hill. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
