About: I’ve grown up taking care of family and neighbor pets. I also have some experience volunteering and fostering for the animal shelter. When it comes to walks, playtime, some basic training, and even bath time, I can provide loving, reliable care tailored to each pet’s needs. I treat every animal as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. I currently work full-time, but I still have flexibility in my schedule and can adjust to your pet’s needs. I understand that every pet has their own routine, personality, and comfort level, so I’m happy to work with you to make sure they receive the care and attention they need. Whether that’s walks, playtime, feeding, check-ins, or plenty of cuddles while you’re away, I’ll do my best to help them feel comfortable, happy, and cared for. While I don’t have a yard, I’m close to several parks—including a brand-new dog park! My home is calm and quiet, perfect for pets who need rest and relaxation.

“Caroline is hands-down the best cat sitter I’ve ever had! I have three shy cats, and one of them requires a daily life-saving medication. On day one, my two boys immediately warmed up to her, and even my cat who needs medication let her administer it without any fuss. From then on, they greeted her eagerly for love and pets. Beyond being so wonderful with them, Caroline also went above and beyond in her care — she sent adorable daily photos and thoughtful “proof” pictures showing that food, water, and litter were all refreshed. I’ve never had another sitter be so thorough. She even vacuumed and brought in my packages! Caroline is truly the best, and I will absolutely be a repeat customer!”

About: I have had pets since the age of 5. From cat to rabbits to dogs to fish. They are part of the family in our house. They even get Christmas stockings. I have had several elderly cats that required daily medication. I am use to give meds to cats and trimming their nails. I currently work from home. I can come by in the morning before work to feed, check on your pet, and go for a walk. During my lunch break I can drop in for play time. After work I can come by for longer walks and feed them dinner I would care for your pets in your home as this would be this most comfortable place for them. I would treat them as they were my own. I would make sure they had fresh food and water twice daily, had medication if necessary, and lots of cuddles.
“This was my first time using Amber. She really took the time to get to know me and my dogs care. I was put to ease knowing she was taking care of them! Will definitely be using her again. :)”

“Felicia has been awesome! She’s taken great care of our two cats while we’ve been out of town and sent us photos, too. Super easy to communicate with. Definitely recommend!”

“This is our second time having Elyse as a sitter and we couldn't recommend her services enough! She is very communicative, follows all instructions to a T, loves on your pets, sends great pictures, and we love how once she is done with all of the necessary tasks (litter box, food, water, medicine), she stays for the full 30 minutes and plays and hangs out with our kitties.”

“Hailey had been so good with my little Marshmallow. She's attentive, kind, and trustworthy and my little girl, who is friendly but can be skiddish, loves her and comes right out to her. Thank you Hailey!”

About: When I got my dog, my parents only rule was for me to take care of him and I have, from feeding, daily walking and playing, my dog Freddie is the happiest boy around! I’m going back to college in a few weeks, but until then I’m free everyday and when I do go back to college I’ll be available every afternoon! I am very respectful in a new clients home, but will get the job done and make sure your pet is happy and loved. I pay close attention to detail and make sure no job is left half way.
“Kristen is outstanding! She was great with our dog, very responsive to communication and kept us updated with both pictures and detailed notes. She was also very flexible with our requested visit times. Such a relief to find her! I highly recommend her and will definitely use her in the future to take care of our precious pup!”

About: I’ve been caring for animals for over 20 years and truly believe our pets deserve the same love and attention they’d get from us—even when life pulls us away. I have hands-on experience with dogs of all breeds and sizes, cats, lizards, and even small animals. Whether it’s playtime, a walk, meals, or snuggles, I make sure your pets stay happy, healthy, and comfortable in their own routine. Your pets aren’t “just pets” to me—they’re family. My goal is to give you peace of mind knowing they’re in loving and capable hands. I am available weekends for in house pet sitting and weekdays for walks and drop ins. Let me take care of your pets so you can be the best pet parent. Look forward to working with you! I come to you! This way your pet can stay comfortable in it's own environment and less stressful. I can also bring in your mail etc while you're out.
“Erica and her family are the absolute best ever!! Super kind and took amazing care of our home and our babies! She went above and beyond and is a genuine and amazing person. 10/10 recommend! Best experience ever”

“Nicole was very flexible when I had to book a last minute drop-in service. She was very patient and understanding when I sent her all the information needed for the service. She was confident and reassuring about meeting the dogs without us having the time for a meet & greet. She was timely and communicated when she was heading to the house each day and how the dogs were each day (we have 3 so I know they can be a handful/excited). Her pricing was very fair and I felt like she was very professional and kind to both myself and the dogs!”

“Sophia was absolutely amazing with my cats and also took great care of my home while I was away. She was attentive, reliable, communicative, and clearly genuinely loves animals. Knowing my cats were in good hands while I was away gave me such peace of mind. I truly couldn’t have asked for a better cat sitter and would recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring!”

“Britney was attentive and went above and beyond to make sure my dogs were cared for while we were gone. She brought up our trash and recycling without us asking. 10/10 recommend and will use her again!”

About: Your experience I’ve had pets for as long as I can remember and have cared for both dogs and cats throughout my life. I’ve owned around four dogs and three cats, including a Schnauzer, a Yorkshire Terrier, and mixed breeds. I’ve also helped care for family pets by feeding them, playing with them, keeping them company, and making sure they feel safe and loved. I truly love animals and enjoy being around them. Even though I currently don’t have pets because my apartment is small, I would be very happy to care for pets short-term and give them lots of attention, affection, and patience. I understand how important it is for owners to trust someone with their pets, and I would treat every animal like family. I’m currently very flexible and available most days of the week, which gives me plenty of time to care for, play with, and keep pets company. I can accommodate walks, drop-in visits, and short-term care depending on your pet’s needs. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and making sure they feel comfortable, safe, and loved while their owners are away. I live in a clean and calm apartment environment where pets can feel safe and relaxed. While I don’t have a private fenced yard, my apartment complex has pet-friendly walking areas and plenty of space for outdoor walks and exercise. There is also a plaza nearby that’s perfect for longer walks and outdoor time. I always pay close attention to pets’ behavior, routines, and safety, and I make sure they receive lots of care, affection, supervision, and patience while staying with me or during visits.

About: As an experienced pet sitter, I provide dependable, compassionate care tailored to each pet’s unique personality and needs. With a strong understanding of animal behavior and routines, I ensure your pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Whether it’s daily walks, feeding schedules, medication administration, or extra cuddle time, I treat every pet as if they were my own. My goal is to give you complete peace of mind, knowing your furry family members are in caring, capable hands. 🐾 Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine as a stay-at-home mom. I’m home most of the day, so I’m able to provide regular feedings, walks, playtime, and attention. I plan my schedule around making sure pets are comfortable, exercised, and cared for throughout the day. Being home also allows me to keep a close eye on them and make sure they feel safe and part of the household. I care for pets by making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I follow the owner’s instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any medications if needed. I keep their environment clean, give them attention and affection, and make sure they get enough exercise and bathroom breaks. Whether in my home or a client’s home, I treat every pet like part of the family and make sure their routine stays as normal and stress-free as possible.

Pete was so well cared for! Devania R. came twice a day, made sure our pup was happy and comfortable, and even sent us pictures with each visit. The updates gave us so much peace of mind, and it was clear our dog was in great hands. We’re so grateful and would definitely book with Devania R. again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
