Since getting my first dog at age 5, after begging for a dog since I could string the sentence together at 2, I have never had a time I didn't have a dog or at least maintain working with them while in between dogs. I started working with dogs at the age 7 in 4-H, showing and training in obedience, grooming and handling, and dog care. I placed first in dog care my first year. Once I reached 13, I immediately began walking and sitting my neighbor's dogs and loved it. I worked as a kennel tech at a veterinary hospital with a boarding facility for 2 years, gaining experience in administering medication and caring for ill/injured boarders. I worked for Petco as a dog bather and trainer. I went through grooming academy in 2017, and can offer basic grooming services that do not require a salon. Whatever your dog's temperament is, I am experienced in working with all ages and breeds, and am trained to understand behavior and body language. Separation anxiety, fear aggression, hyper, I've worked with it all. My very first dog was my Golden Retriever named Casey, who we adopted as a stray and was my first training project and show dog. I helped my parents find our next dog, a Rottweiler named Anya, We adopted her as a four year old with heartworms and horrible coat, and nursed her back to health. I now own three Australian Shepherds, the oldest of whom is trick trained with knows 20+ cues. I have been Red Cross certified in Canine First Aid and CPR, and am versed in noting changes in health. I work from home full time so I have lots of time for my furbaby and yours, providing training, walking, drop-in sittings, and basic home grooming.
