About: Hello! My name is Laura, and I'm a full-time hybrid worker who would like to meet more cats and dogs in the area. I am from a very small town in Vermont, where I grew up with various types of animals. I have always loved animals of all kinds, but especially cats and dogs. In middle school, I began to pet-sit cats, dogs, rodents, and horses for my neighbors and their friends. In High School, I started house-sitting to give animals better and longer-term care. I am very active and would love to take your dogs on walks all around North Beach and beyond. I work remotely so I have flexibility to fit your schedule. I am an early riser and start work around 7 and finish around 3. If you’re nearby I can do bathroom/walk breaks during the day. Or, I’m willing to work from your apartment to give your pet more time and attention! I do not have a yard so your home might be the better fit. That said, if you have a preference for your dog to spend time at my home that’s perfectly fine!

“Ian is amazing! I feel so lucky to have found him and that he was available over Memorial Day weekend. He dropped in 2x a day to hang out with my kitty Butternut. Ian was great in keeping Butternut engaged and cared for. He sent pictures and videos everyday which were adorable. 5 stars all around!”

“Meg was a wonderful cat sitter! Our very social cat got lots of snuggles and attention while we were gone. He’s a happy kitty, thanks to Meg.”

“Valentina did a wonderful job with my cat! She communicated with me when I was gone and sent photos. She followed all of my instructions. She made me feel much more comfortable being away.”

About: I’ve shared life with animals for 23 years—starting with my cat Chiquita (14 wonderful years), a rescued lab-beagle Hooke, and two rambunctious pups: Tiger (adopted 4 years ago) and Lou (3 years ago). Tiger lives confidently with epilepsy, so I’m well-versed in seizure monitoring, timed oral meds, and sub-cutaneous injections when needed. Right now my own dogs are staying abroad with my husband, so caring for your pets fills that furry void. With this hands-on medical experience, I’m equally comfortable looking after seniors, puppies, and other special-needs companions. Your dog receives one-family-at-a-time attention, calm positive-reinforcement handling, and daily photo updates. Standard neighborhood walks and yard play are included; beach days, trail hikes, or extended runs can be arranged for an additional fee to cover travel and time. I work locally but not on a strict 9-to-5 clock, so pets start their day with a 7 AM walk and breakfast, get a mid-day potty break (between 12-2 PM), and enjoy a long evening adventure after 5 PM. Weekends are wide open for beach runs, parks, or lazy couch snuggles. Boarding stays include one family movie night—dogs pick the film!—and lights-out around 10 PM. I never book more animals than I can give individual attention. Your pet’s wellbeing is my top priority. I host one family at a time in a clean, smoke-free house with a fully fenced yard, so dogs (and adventurous cats!) can sniff around outdoors under my watch whenever the weather’s nice. Inside, open space, and plants are pet-safe. For outings, I’m fully kitted out—seat-belt harnesses, water packs, etc. I ask for current vaccines before booking to keep everyone healthy. You’ll get time-stamped photos and quick replies throughout your pet’s stay, so you’re never left wondering how your best friend is doing.

About: I have a 5 year old sheltie which I started taking care of when he was 3 months old. I also have a 1 year old Ragdoll cat that I got when he was 3 months old. I work full time in tech. But I have time after work for drop in visit during weekdays and I have my weekend all day available. I love feeding my cat and dog. And I do daily brushing and cleaning litter box. I like to check my cat’s pee clump to make sure that he has taken enough water.

Laura M.
“For as long as I've known Laura (7 years including a year as her roommate) she has loved and taken care of her pets and other people's pets. She is the definition of responsible and caring, and has spent a significant amount of time dog sitting for large and small dogs. She now has created a very loving home for her cat, and as a runner she is more than athletic enough to keep up with your large dogs! Laura is exactly the friendly, energetic person I would want to walk my dog.”
