I maintain a clean, pet-proofed apartment where your furry friend can relax without any worries. For bedtime, I have a dedicated crate in the study where my dog sleeps, and I have an extra crate available if your pup is crate-trained - though they're also welcome to find their comfy spot anywhere in the apartment! Safety is my top priority, so I take extra precautions like always keeping doors securely locked and making sure the apartment is tidy and free of anything that could be harmful. When we head out for walks in our quiet, safe neighborhood, your pup will always be properly leashed, and I even use special light-up collars for our evening strolls. About: I recently lost my nearly 9-year-old German Shepherd who I raised since he was 8 weeks old. I loved him so much and am happy I was able to give him a great life. I grew up with dogs, cats, birds, and hamsters, so naturally I love animals! (They tend to like me too.) I am comfortable with any size dog, both large and small, and can administer pet medications or help with any dietary needs. I am lucky enough to be able to work primarily from home, which allows me time to prepare meals and exercise my dog every day. Taking care of pets is part of my everyday life. I live in a townhome near several parks, and my community has a dedicated pet relief area. I generally don't crate my dog unless he chooses to go in it on his own. I of course have no problem crating your dog or following any instructions you provide.

I really appreciate their flexibility in the duration of the daycare as I offer ram my estimated time to pick up Lacey. Right from the start, Rudi socialized Lacey with Rex, his Labrador with a brief two-tether walk. Provided periodic updates, pictures included, letting me know all was going well and putting me at ease. While she was there, Lacey had plenty of playtime with Rex, and slept longer into the next morning than she had before. Also fed Lacey her dinner (since I ran late), and took Lacey on a nice walk. Overall a wonderful experience for Lacey, as well as for me, as this was our very first “Rover experience”. Definitely recommend, and I will rebook if/when the next trip to the area happens.”

About: I’m a student looking to help out with some local pet care and housesitting while i’m home for the summer. “Finding Margaret was a god send! We have a reactive dog who isn't always friendly and finding people who can handle a dog like that is not always easy. After searching through hundreds of Rover profiles I finally found Margaret and I'm so glad I did! We had a lovely phone chat about Max and his behaviors as well as the style of training/handling we prefer (she is familiar with and willing to work with all sorts of styles). After our chat we setup a meet and greet and Max did so well with her from the get go - not even a peep out of him when they met! He quickly bonded with her and was more than happy to work with her right off the bat. She even had him meet some of her dogs (which he handled well too!). It was clear Margaret knew exactly what she was doing and had the confidence to put Max (and me!) at ease. After the meet and greet we setup an overnight boarding session to really see how Max would do - and it went so well! Margaret was incredibly communicative and gave us updates as she slowly introduced Max to her other dogs, took him on walks, and just generally kept us informed how he was handling his new environment. I was extremely impressed with how smoothly everything went and I felt so comfortable knowing Max was in good hands. I would absolutely recommend Margaret for any sort of "special needs" dogs in a heartbeat! Your dog is in safe and caring hands.”
