About: I had dogs growing up that I was in charge of taking care of. I have a great cat that I've cared for for 10 years. I've house sat and pet sat multiple times. I'm reliable, communicative, and ethical. I moved to this area last year and have been a stay at home mom. I'd like to start earning my own income again and I like the flexibility of gig work like this. Some days I may have my two children with me (ages 6 and 2). Others, I'm available without them. Along with your request for my services, please indicate if you are uncomfortable with my children tagging along. I can provide care at your pet's home. I can handle big and small dogs alike. I will make sure they get the exercise and affection they need while also attending to the basics.

About: I’ve grown up with animals in my house my entire life- My household has always had dogs and cats (currently three dogs, two cats) and we’ve opened our house to foster multiple animals throughout my childhood. I’ve worked in doggie daycare and grooming settings, and have extensive experience handling dogs and cats of different personalities and sizes. I’m a college student home for the summer ready and willing to help during the week, or those wanting to make sure their pets are in good hands during a weekend getaway. I have experienced working in many different pet care settings and understand every owner has a different approach to making sure their furry friend is comfortable and safe. Whether it be walking only on leash, separating meals, or any other instruction, I am ready to do whatever makes you feel most comfortable with your animal!

“Michelle was great with Ranger! Prompt with her arrival, and spent the full time with him. He was able to get some energy out and not be alone all day which is exactly what he needed! We will continue booking with Michelle 😁”

About: What sets me apart from any pet sitter is that I had a variety of pets when was growing up. I have experience with reptiles and horses other than dogs and cats. I would be able to provide pet care anytime. I am available most holidays as well. I decided that I need some time away from the stresses of being healthcare worker for so many years and would like to do something different and yet rewarding in a different way than healthcare. I cannot watch pets in my home at this time due to living in an apartment. I am willing to come to your home to feed, water, walk, and play with your dog. I’m familiar with crate training. I did this with my own dog I had with my ex husband many years ago.

About: I love all animals! My family always had cats while I was growing up, so I am very comfortable taking care of them. My first dog was a lovely chocolate Lab; my current dog is a spirited English Pointer named Mellow. Whenever friends and family need someone to care for their pets when they travel, I am the person they ask for help. Any animal under my care is treated with the same love and attention as my own pets. I am very reliable as well. I have been teaching for 20 years at the same school district. I bring the same patience I show my students to any pet situation. I love to take walks or hikes with dogs, so your pup will not miss out on daily exercise. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family member! As a child-free teacher, I am very available during the summer months to meet your vacation and travel pet needs. I am available for the daily or weekly care that your pets needs while you are away. I follow a strict leash policy with my own dog, and I follow this protocol with any dog under my care. A leashed dog is a safe dog!

About: I have taken care of pets since I was 6 years old, pet-sitting for the neighbors and caring for my family’s many pets. When I was 9, I started helping out at a veterinary clinic, aiding in animal care there for years. I have continued to work with animals since then, volunteering at animal shelters and interning at wild animal sanctuaries. I absolutely love animals and am passionate about providing animal care. I am a college student (studying animal biology!) on break for the summer, so I am available at all times until mid-September. However, I will not be available for three weeks, from July 13 - August 8. I grew up helping veterinarians at my mother’s veterinary clinic, so I am very knowledgeable about animal behavior and how to properly care for pets. I am very calm, as well as active, so I am able to fit the type of energy your pet may need.

“Sharon is the first person I would ask to care for my pet! She loves all animals, and they feel the same about her. She is very responsible, caring, and always puts the needs of pets in her care first. I do not know many people that are as empathetic and passionate about animals as Sharon. When necessary, she takes the time to understand the meaning behind behaviors that are not ideal and therefore responds in a thoughtful and patient way. She can be trusted to adhere to necessary routines or methods that are needed. She is very active and enjoys hiking/walking, which makes her perfect for exercising your pup at times when you cannot. I cannot recommend Sharon enough!”

“Angela is great with our dog! She goes beyond the basics for weekly dog walks and our pup is happy to have her company. Angela is easy to reach and communicates thoroughly.”

Danielle & Anthony G.
“Danielle watches our lab Cooper whenever we are in the Detroit area. He has such a blast with their dogs and is always so excited to visit! They have a fenced in yard and Cooper LOVES to be outside so this is so perfect for him. When we go on vacation and Danielle watches him, Cooper goes on his own vacation too staying with them (he arguably has more fun than we do)!!! Great pet caregiver, would highly recommend”
