About: I’ve had a dog(or multiple) in my house since I was 6 years old. From the start I treated them with kindness and patience. Especially since I had a gentle giant of a dog. I did start taking care of my dogs when I was 12 years old though and it was exhausting but so worth it. I’ve seen my dogs grow up for 10 years and they’re still wild as puppies. I give my current dogs various medications and have special diets. I just got a puppy so that’s been a good challenge. I am currently potty training, deterring unwanted habits, playing for hours a day, and watching her so closely. I love all pets though, I just have more experience with dogs, and quick at adapting to special needs and dogs with boundaries. I am available any weekday, and am able to have a free weekend. I take turns with my mom watching our rescue puppy but she is mostly guaranteed to be home or able to take her on car rides if I need to be somewhere else. I also have a reliable car I cannot care for your pets at my home, we have 3 dogs and only one gets very unhappy with other dogs so it’s best not to overwhelm him. However! I can and will respect your home or living space if you’ll allow me, I don’t need much, just the supplies needed to care for your pet and some space to occupy myself(if pet sitting). I care for my current pets by paying attention to what they’re trying to communicate, whether they need to go outside, play, eat, or get comfy. I walk my dogs very carefully, not pulling on the leash too hard but establishing some control if necessary.
“Tony has been a wonderful caregiver for our two dogs. He is patient, clam and caring with them. They love their long walks and he handles both of them wonderfully. Tony is very reliable. I’m so thankful to have found him.”

“Joe is fantastic! We feel so fortunate to have found him. He made us feel comfortable right away and Jax loves him. He always goes the extra mile (literally) and we trust him.”

I keep you updated with messages and photos so you always know how your pet is doing. I’m reliable, quick to respond, and flexible with scheduling. My hours are 8 AM–5 PM on some days and 9 AM–6 PM on others. I’m available for pet care in the mornings before work, evenings after I’m off, and all day on my days off. I’m also available for overnight stays depending on the booking. I prioritize safety, trust, and a calm environment for every pet. In a client’s home, I follow all care instructions carefully, keep pets secure, and ensure doors and gates are always properly closed. I maintain a clean space, respect the home, and stick to the pet’s normal routine to reduce stress. I also provide regular updates so owners feel confident their pet is safe and well cared for.
About: I’ve had dogs my whole life, and over the years I’ve taken on more hands-on responsibility caring for them, from feeding and walking to grooming, bathing, and making sure they’re comfortable and well looked after every day. Because of that, I’m very familiar with different dog personalities and needs, whether they’re energetic, shy, older, or just need extra attention. I really enjoy building trust with each pet and making sure they feel safe, relaxed, and loved while their owners are away. Caring for animals has always been a big part of my life, and I treat every dog like they’re part of my own family. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I truly enjoy being around animals. I have the time and flexibility to give pets the attention they deserve, whether that’s walks, playtime, feeding, or simply spending quality time with them. I understand how important consistency is and will do my best to follow your pet’s normal routine. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet because I’ve always considered my own dogs part of the family. I will always follow your instructions carefully and make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for. My goal is to give pet owners peace of mind and make sure their pets are happy while they’re in my care.

About: I’ve been the primary caretaker for my parent’s dog since I was 11. When she was a puppy, I slept by her side every night and took her outside for frequent potty breaks throughout the night. She has a lot of energy as a German Shorthaired Pointer, so I l would take her on daily walks and fill up her water and food on schedule. Even at the highest energy level, I’ve always been able to play with her and take care of her. Before my parents adopted her, they owned a senior dog that I would handle with gentle care and feed on schedule. I helped calm her down at the vet and made sure she got the treatment she needed. I’m currently working part time, so my schedule is very open and flexible for drop ins, walks, and overnight pet sitting. I am a full time University student during the school year, so I have abundant availability during the summer and winter. I will follow the feeding and drinking instructions and schedule, I can crate the dog if needed, and I am always able to give potty breaks, even in the middle of the night

For house sitting, I am available from Thursday evenings - Sunday evenings. I can accommodate stays throughout the week as long as your pets can be left alone for a good part of the day. I only feed and exercise as explicitly instructed, and I work with you to determine the best plan of care for your pet in your absence. I will employ training methods as requested in home, or on walks. I use positive reinforcement training methods by default. Safety is my number one priority, and protecting your pet's health is my focus.

About: I’ve been a lifelong animal lover and have grown up around dogs my entire life. I currently have four dogs of my own: one Chihuahua and three small mixed breeds, so I understand the importance of providing pets with loving, attentive care. Since 2016, I’ve also cared for pets for other families and have experience helping animals feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners are away. In addition to pet sitting, I actively volunteer to help dogs in my community by promoting adoptable and foster dogs on Facebook and Instagram through my own social media account. I have also volunteered with The Animal Foundation, where I photograph dogs to help improve their adoption profiles and increase their chances of finding loving homes. I am currently fostering a dog named Gotti, who was scheduled to be euthanized on January 25th, and I’m committed to helping him find a safe, permanent home. My experience with fostering, rescue advocacy, and animal care has strengthened my passion for helping pets feel loved and cared for. I currently work a full-time job, but I’m available to help during mornings, afternoons, and weekends. I look forward to treating your pets like family! “My first experience with Rover was with Heather Rieck and I am SOLD! She is so incredibly sweet, attentive, sincere, knowledgeable, efficient, organized, professional and just an enjoyable person for myself and my furbaby! Our animals (1 dog 3 cats) took to her right away. Seeking her for attention, affection and responded to her immediately. I was relieved, pleasantly surprised and excited. She went over every detail about my furkid, Baby, who has a laundry list of VERY special needs from medical to behavior. Baby is a mostly deaf rescue with severe allergies, stage 5 heart murmor and an ongoing outer ear problem. Heather was able to get Baby to sit & come to her when called. She catered the walk according to Baby's needs, being mindful of her heart condition and her reaction to seeing other dogs. Heather then left me a haND written note summarizing their walk/visit and later posted pictures online for me to view and share! What an outstanding animal lover she is! After hesitating for so long to use Rover, I can't wait to use it again and again with Heather as my go-to for Baby's needs!”

About: I've been animal obsessed my entire life. We have rescues that are deaf, blind, and crazy! My wife calls me the dogs whisperer because I have the ability to win over even the shyest of pups. If I see you with your dogs, the odds are I'm going to stop you to say hi. They make the world a better place. I have helped find homes for many dogs, goats, sheep, and pigs. My instagram is "nevertoomanydogs", check out the fun. I am a realtor so I make my own schedule. I love meeting new pets, I thought this would be a fantastic way to spend some of my time. I do occasionally take care of pets in my own home, but it's usually non stop playtime so it gets a little crazy. When I come to your home I will obviously be respectful of your pet, property and neighbors.
Westgate dog parents share their Rover experiences
Patricia is nothing but amazing with my dog. Jade is a very picky dog and the moment I open the door and my dog saw Patricia she immediately greeted her. Jade was ready to go and when they arrive back an hour later Jade was tired. Patricia was amazing she was very commutative and we talked a little bit about Jade her dues and her don'ts and also about how well Jade was able to keep up and walk.

Joe is the absolute best! I’ve been sick and felt bad that I couldn’t walk our little guy, and Joe came to the rescue! So friendly and even had treats for the walk. He protected our dog in a scary moment when another dog jumped over a wall, we’re so thankful he kept him safe and that he was too! Our dog definitely has a new bestie.

Vanessa has been terrific walking our dogs! They liked her right away and are very comfortable with her. She manages both of them without any problem, and lets them set the pace. We will definitely be enlisting Vanessa’s help again, both for dog walking and dog sitting.

Been working with America over a year. My pup has had some unexpected health scares which she alerted me to during her visit so I was able to get her medical attention more quickly. During & after treatment her tummy was very unsettled, so had to coordinate extra meals, withholding of treats, having to crate her for a bit, etc. I was able to communicate easily via the app what was going on & where she could find meals, etc. she always gave great updates from her visits or messages me with any questions. I always feel such relief when I know she’ll be there taking care of my girl 😁

We’ve never used a service or hired someone to walk our Australian Shepherd Kora. She is leash reactive, so we were nervous to try and find someone whose handling skills we could trust. Torri was very professional and patient with us and my helicopter-dog-parent anxiety. He understood exactly what our girl needed. It is such a relief to know Kora is getting the exercise she needs with someone so experienced and caring. We hope Kora can join Torri and Riley for many hiking adventures to come.
