I have fostered puppies, dogs, cats and litters of kittens for 6+ years so I have no doubt that I can take care of whatever comes my way. About: I’ve had a dog(or multiple) in my house since I was 6 years old. From the start I treated them with kindness and patience. Especially since I had a gentle giant of a dog. I did start taking care of my dogs when I was 12 years old though and it was exhausting but so worth it. I’ve seen my dogs grow up for 10 years and they’re still wild as puppies. I give my current dogs various medications and have special diets. I just got a puppy so that’s been a good challenge. I am currently potty training, deterring unwanted habits, playing for hours a day, and watching her so closely. I love all pets though, I just have more experience with dogs, and quick at adapting to special needs and dogs with boundaries. I am available any weekday, and am able to have a free weekend. I take turns with my mom watching our rescue puppy but she is mostly guaranteed to be home or able to take her on car rides if I need to be somewhere else. I also have a reliable car I cannot care for your pets at my home, we have 3 dogs and only one gets very unhappy with other dogs so it’s best not to overwhelm him. However! I can and will respect your home or living space if you’ll allow me, I don’t need much, just the supplies needed to care for your pet and some space to occupy myself(if pet sitting). I care for my current pets by paying attention to what they’re trying to communicate, whether they need to go outside, play, eat, or get comfy. I walk my dogs very carefully, not pulling on the leash too hard but establishing some control if necessary.

Even in an apartment, I make sure pets get plenty of walks, playtime, and attention throughout the day. I follow your pet’s routine closely so they stay comfortable and stress-free. My goal is to make sure your pet feels happy and cared for while you’re away. I’m also available for weekends. I work full-time Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. My hours are 8 AM–5 PM on some days and 9 AM–6 PM on others. I’m available for pet care in the mornings before work, evenings after I’m off, and all day on my days off. About: I’ve been the primary caretaker for my parent’s dog since I was 11. When she was a puppy, I slept by her side every night and took her outside for frequent potty breaks throughout the night. She has a lot of energy as a German Shorthaired Pointer, so I l would take her on daily walks and fill up her water and food on schedule. Even at the highest energy level, I’ve always been able to play with her and take care of her. Before my parents adopted her, they owned a senior dog that I would handle with gentle care and feed on schedule. I helped calm her down at the vet and made sure she got the treatment she needed. I’m currently working part time, so my schedule is very open and flexible for drop ins, walks, and overnight pet sitting. I am a full time University student during the school year, so I have abundant availability during the summer and winter. I will follow the feeding and drinking instructions and schedule, I can crate the dog if needed, and I am always able to give potty breaks, even in the middle of the night

About: I have over 8 years of professional experience working with all kinds of pets, like dogs and cats! I also have personal experience with them as well! I can work on basic training with puppies, and can administer basic medications for all dogs and cats, including seniors. I am open to providing all different kinds of care, hands on or hands off, whatever works best for your pets. I am available for drop ins each day after 6 PM. For house sitting, I am available from Thursday evenings - Sunday evenings. I can accommodate stays throughout the week as long as your pets can be left alone for a good part of the day. I only feed and exercise as explicitly instructed, and I work with you to determine the best plan of care for your pet in your absence. I will employ training methods as requested in home, or on walks. I use positive reinforcement training methods by default. “My first experience with Rover was with Heather Rieck and I am SOLD! She is so incredibly sweet, attentive, sincere, knowledgeable, efficient, organized, professional and just an enjoyable person for myself and my furbaby! Our animals (1 dog 3 cats) took to her right away. Seeking her for attention, affection and responded to her immediately. I was relieved, pleasantly surprised and excited. She went over every detail about my furkid, Baby, who has a laundry list of VERY special needs from medical to behavior. Baby is a mostly deaf rescue with severe allergies, stage 5 heart murmor and an ongoing outer ear problem. Heather was able to get Baby to sit & come to her when called. She catered the walk according to Baby's needs, being mindful of her heart condition and her reaction to seeing other dogs. Heather then left me a haND written note summarizing their walk/visit and later posted pictures online for me to view and share! What an outstanding animal lover she is! After hesitating for so long to use Rover, I can't wait to use it again and again with Heather as my go-to for Baby's needs!”
