Meet Ethel – Our Official Boarding Hostess 🐶 After I retired in June 2023, I began boarding and walking dogs through Rover and Wag. What I didn’t expect was to end up with a 50/50 business partner. Ethel joined my life officially on January 2, 2025, after boarding with me several times throughout 2024. She quickly proved herself to be calm, confident, and remarkably good at managing group dynamics. A few days after she moved in, I discovered something extraordinary: Ethel was born on my 58th birthday—the very morning I was out walking a dog named Cuda. Since then, Ethel has become the heart of my home-based boarding setup. She’s the official hostess, a natural leader during playtime, and the quiet enforcer of naptime. Boarding runs smoother with her here—less chaos, better routines, and happier dogs all around. Think of her as the technical advisor for playtime logistics… and my most valuable coworker. I will follow their owner’s exact specifications. As long as it is safe and healthy for the dog or cat, I'll follow the owner's directions verbatim! I have always fed my dogs and cats Science Diet pet food!

About: Always been a pet home since I was little. My pets are my family too. I'll make yours feel at home while there here too. I'm home so taking care of your family member is my priority. Lots of rubs, a walk, or just someone to lay with i'm here. I live in apartment thats very pet friendly, have potty area outside and take daily walks. Small friendly 2yr old Yorkie to keep your baby company. Following your instructions on care of your family member is important to me to be sure there taking care of just like they're at home.

About: This past summer I lived up in Denali, Alaska with 4 time iditarod winner Jeff King and helped raise and socialize puppies. My duties included feeding 18 adult dogs and several litters of puppies, giving them all water, scooping droppings, and even brushing the adults coats. I have grown up around and raised dogs my whole life, teaching them from puppies and even fostering some senior dogs. I've never met a dog I couldn't get along with! Friends know me as a very reliable person who shows up on time and always goes above and beyond. A few years ago I spent time taking care of an elderly dog named Marley who needed eyedrops and had a special diet. I absolutely love spending time with dogs and meeting new dogs and would love an opportunity to meet your lovely pup! I'm currently working part time jobs doing photography at weddings and events. The jobs don't eat up more than 6 to 8 hours in a day. Outside of the that I'm pursuing personal projects and trying to dog sit throughout the week. When I have dog sat for people in the past I usually spend as much time around the dogs or within their vicinity. I spend time playing with them, taking them outside and running around, and also feeding them on any schedule they need to be fed with. I'm very good at accepting and following notes on how to care for dogs. If they get into trouble in certain rooms I would keep those doors closed, if they are younger or more wild dogs I would make sure when I leave they are crated safely before I leave always with water in their bowl and optional food if the owner would like.
