About: I have been around animals all my life since childhood and up to my adult years . I have taken care of dogs, cats , hamster, rabbits and guinea pigs. I’m currently working part time and have open availability during the week and on weekends. I would love the opportunity to take care of pets since I love animals. My schedule allows me to spend quality time with pets, make sure they are comfortable, and give them lots of attention, playtime, and companionship throughout the day. When caring for other people’s pets, I treat them with the same love and attention that I give my own animals. I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owner is away. I follow the owner’s instructions carefully so their pet can keep their normal routine. For dogs, I enjoy taking them on walks and, if the owner is comfortable with it, bringing them to the dog park so they can run, play, and get their energy out. I also make sure they are fed on schedule, have fresh water, get bathroom breaks, and receive plenty of attention and affection. For cats, I love spending time playing with them indoors, giving them attention, and keeping them company so they do not feel lonely. I make sure their food and water bowls are clean and filled, their litter box is kept clean, and that they have time to play and relax. I also pay close attention to each pet’s behavior to make sure they are happy and healthy while in my care. My goal is to make pets feel comfortable and loved so their owners can feel confident that they are in good hands.

Ethel joined my life officially on January 2, 2025, after boarding with me several times throughout 2024. She quickly proved herself to be calm, confident, and remarkably good at managing group dynamics. A few days after she moved in, I discovered something extraordinary: Ethel was born on my 58th birthday—the very morning I was out walking a dog named Cuda. Since then, Ethel has become the heart of my home-based boarding setup. She’s the official hostess, a natural leader during playtime, and the quiet enforcer of naptime. Boarding runs smoother with her here—less chaos, better routines, and happier dogs all around. Think of her as the technical advisor for playtime logistics… and my most valuable coworker. I will follow their owner’s exact specifications. As long as it is safe and healthy for the dog or cat, I'll follow the owner's directions verbatim! I have always fed my dogs and cats Science Diet pet food!

About: I’ve taken care of countless pets, including both dogs and cats, since I was 10. Friends, family and neighbors have relied on me to feed, bathe, walk and play with their pets. I also have experience providing specialized care for elderly pets that need medication. I work from home, and I can take breaks to play. I'm available all day for walks, feeding and to pay close and special attention to your fur baby! I will be courteous while taking care of the pets in your home. While boarding them at mine, I have a safe neighborhood with a dog walking area and trails and Foxridge Park around the corner. I will be able to provide a safe home. Some of my favorite memories growing up involve dogs curled up next to me on the couch, playing outside until they were completely worn out, or spending quiet evenings with my cat in my lap. Caring for animals has never felt like a chore to me—it’s something I genuinely love. Over the years I’ve cared for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. Right now I have a service dog who has taught me so much about patience and understanding anxious pets. Because she needs extra reassurance, I’ve learned to pay attention to body language, build trust at each dog’s pace, and create an environment where they feel safe and comfortable. I also have a 10-year-old cat that I’ve raised since she was young. When she started having trouble using her litter box, I didn’t give up or get frustrated. I spent time researching, changing her routine, and working with her until she was confidently using it again. Experiences like that have taught me that every pet communicates differently, and sometimes they just need someone willing to slow down and understand them. I’m especially comfortable caring for pets with medical needs. I’ve given insulin injections to my younger brother with Type 1 diabetes as well as a close friend’s diabetic dog, so needles and strict medication schedules don’t intimidate me. I’ve also administered eye drops, ear medication, and oral medications to my own dogs, including caring for one of my dogs while he struggled with painful eye conditions that required daily treatment. Since I’m studying nursing, being calm, detail-oriented, and following medical routines accurately is something that comes naturally to me. I’m also an active person. I love being outside, going on walks, running, and staying busy, so energetic dogs are honestly my favorite. Whether your dog loves long walks, games of fetch, or simply needs someone who can match their energy, I’m always excited to join them. At the same time, I’m just as happy spending a quiet afternoon keeping an older dog company or giving extra attention to a shy pet that needs a little more patience. There is a trail/park in my neighborhood where I can take them on walks that they would really enjoy! Before covid I worked as a hair stylist for 10 years, and since then I have been finding other ways to create an income for myself doing different things that I enjoy to do! My kids and I moved to Vegas in 2023 from Virginia Beach, Virginia and now we are exploring more of the West Coast to find our more long term home, preferably with water nearby because we miss the beach! I am a huge animal lover, as are both of my kids, and I would love to care for your babies as if they were my own while you are gone! We treat animals with respect, love, and kindness always. I currently help care for our 5 year old Holland Lop bunny named Elliott and our 3 cats, Zarii, Billie and Pluto and have also had many dogs in my life, including our Great Dane and last dog Louie. I have a HUGE soft spot for the big dogs thanks to him. Their hearts are way bigger than ours ♥️ Please know that while you are away, your home and/or animals will be cared for with the upmost love and attention and I will communicate with you as often as you prefer about the status of your babes and of course send cute pics throughout our time together!
