“Excellent care for my elderly diabetic cat. Always conciensous and making sure everything was as it should be. The cat seems bummed out when I come home and hes not getting visits from her anymore.”

“Stacey is an absolutely amazing sitter. We just moved to Portland and shortly thereafter had to fly out of town for several days, leaving our cat home alone. Upon reaching out, Stacey immediately responded and set up a meet and greet within hours! Each visit she sent the most adorable pics, including one of our cat Lu scratching her cardboard bed- a sign of true happiness, which is a huge piece of mind! We couldn't be happier and will continue to use Stacey whenever possible!!”

“Haley Jo was fantastic! We felt very comfortable with her when she came to do the meet & greet and our first impression was spot on. We are so fortunate to have found her. Luna (our cat) liked her right away. We got great pictures after every visit and a detailed report about the visit. I would definitely recommend Haley Jo, and will definitely have her watch Luna again!”

“Thank you again Nishat. We highly recommend Nishat to watch your pets. Our kitties were happy and so are we. Even though we don’t have strict time expectations, Nishat was prompt every day with pictures!”

“Elizabeth was great! We met before the reservation to go over medication and feeding. Bing and Elizabeth got along great together. If I go away again, I will definitely try to book her again.”

“Samantha has been such a lifesaver! All my dog needs is a quick trip outside to potty during the work day, but Samantha goes above and beyond every day. She gives Mona pets and out-of-crate time and will refill her water or change her blankets if that’s needed! I can tell how much she loves dogs because she is a great caretaker! She is also a great photographer and gets better pictures of my dog than I ever have. Because of Samantha, Mona is much less anxious when I am gone and she no longer pees in the house! I am very grateful for her!!”

“Cindy is the most wonderful cat caretaker!! My little guy has special needs and she handled his care like a pro. She is super communicative, trustworthy, and easy to work with. It felt so good to be away knowing my baby was in good hands. 10/10!”

“Amy dropped in on our cat daily during our two-week trip and we were so pleased with her services! She was easy to communicate with, thorough in her care of our cat (including giving a daily asthma inhaler treatment, food, water, litter, etc.), and considerate of our home (emptying the trash, offering to water plants, etc.). We would highly recommend her to others and will book with her again!”

About: I am an animal lover who specializes in enrichment walks and play. All ages, 1 on 1 care. I am just like you! I have owned pets my whole life, I know how much they mean to our families and your boundaries and their health matter most to me. Happiness is everyone cared for and safe. I have a completely flexible schedule and I’ll be solely focused on Rover this summer and growing this business. I love to be outdoors and am an organized individual. My pet passed in February due to old age and so we have a full setup just waiting to accommodate a pup in need of a stay. We have animal beds, toys, A yard (not fenced in) with a chain run and lots of neighborhood to walk in! We also have a disabled person in the home with so much love to give to animals with a need for more affection and who can ensure someone is with your furry friend if we need to run an errand. We love a dog park or beach run if that’s what your pup is into, and our car is well equipped with baggies and h2o bowls to make sure any trip is safe and fun.

“Joanna is awesome. Prompt in both the meet and greet and check-in visit. We came home to happy cats and she sent the cutest pictures of the kitties getting lots of lovin’. If you’re considering time away and are unable to bring your furry friend with you, highly recommend Joanna :)”

“Julie was great! Our kitty Ripley was happy and well taken care of! Julie did exactly what we needed and asked for. This allowed us to enjoy our holiday and not have to worry about if Ripley kitty was okay. Julie was easy to communicate with and checked in so we were sure all was well. We would absolutely reach out and trust Julie to check in on Ripley again. Thank you Julie!”

“Lori is amazing with Joey—I trust her completely. There are only a handful of people I’d feel comfortable leaving him with, and she’s absolutely one of them. She’s great at communicating how he’s doing, sharing updates on his mood and how the visit went, and always makes sure he gets plenty of love.”

About: I’ve cared for family dogs and a cat my whole life, including senior pets with complex needs—so I understand how important patience and gentle care can be. For the past 5 years, I’ve also pet sat for friends and neighbors, from energetic puppies to older animals needing medication or extra help. I recently moved from Atlanta to the Portland area for a full-time job, and leaving my family dogs behind was one of the hardest parts. I work 4 long shifts a week, which makes having a pet of my own tough—but I have plenty of free time, love, and experience to offer yours. Pet sitting and walking helps fill that gap in my heart, and I treat every pet like family. I work full-time Wednesday through Saturday from 9am to 7pm, but I’m available for walks or check-ins before or after my shifts. I have open availability on Sundays through Tuesdays and plenty of flexibility to offer quality time with your pet. I’m also available for overnight stays—even on my workdays, as long as I can head out by 8am. Pet care fits naturally into my life, and I genuinely enjoy making time for it. While I can’t have pets in my apartment, I’m more than happy to care for your pets in your home where they feel most comfortable. I offer overnight stays, drop-ins, and walks, and can help with feeding, fresh water, medications, potty breaks, playtime, and plenty of snuggles. I’m also happy to transport pets if needed. I treat every animal like they’re my own—keeping them safe, happy, and relaxed while you're away.

About: I was raised with dogs, rodents, and cats and love every variety. I am particularly comfortable with large dog breeds, since I was raised with GSDs. I socializing with pets at home or taking them on walks. I work full time (M-F) and take night classes. I currently do not have any pets since my schedule is too variable to care for them full time. I have a lot of flexibility to stop by and check in on pets (feed/play with/walk) around 7am and after 5pm. I also have weekend availability. My schedule would be best for short term pet care. I cannot bring pets into my home. When visiting in your home, I take extra care when letting myself in/out to avoid any pets running out the door. I will also make sure to keep pets on leashes when bringing them outside, until there is a safe, enclosed area with a tall fence.

West Scarborough cat parents share their Rover experiences
Kayla was wonderful! She’s very sweet and clearly loves animals like I do. I booked somewhat last minute and she was very accommodating coming for a meet and greet late in the evening. I felt very safe leaving my two kitties with her. They even came out for pets which they rarely do with strangers. I would definitely book with her again ♡ ︎
