“The pictures she sent were great and showed Ziti having a wonderful time, she got some porch hangout sessions and tunnel play! Allison is very kind and has great communication. Thanks for taking care of my angel!”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs ever since I was a little kid. I had 2 childhood dogs and currently have 3 dogs back in my home state of Illinois, one Labrador and two mixes. I absolutely love dogs and know what’s required to keep dogs happy and healthy! Pretty much the only animals I don’t love are bugs, and I have pet sit for neighbors back home and watched dogs, cats, and even rabbits! I am currently a full time graduate student at Purdue, but with most of my classes being online, it offers me quite a bit of flexibility during the week. Recently I have also started working weekends, typically 7 hour shifts on Saturdays and Sundays. This can make weekends a bit difficult to schedule, but I’m always happy to spend the rest of the day with any pet! Unfortunately, I am unable to care for pets in my own home at this time as my lease does not allow animals of any kind.
“Allison was absolutely wonderful with my cats when I was away for an extended period. She sent me photos of her playing with them every day, and even got my shy girl to trust her and come for cuddles! I would recommend Allison to anyone and will always use her again in the future”

About: Hi! I'm a Purdue student and experienced pet sitter with a lifelong love of animals. Having grown up with both dogs and cats, I'm comfortable caring for pets of all ages and personalities, from playful puppies and kittens to senior pets who need extra patience and attention. I've been caring for dogs and cats for over 10 years, beginning with pet sitting for neighbors and family friends at age 10. I also have experience caring for pets with medical needs, including administering care and monitoring pets with seizure disorders. I understand how important it is to have someone attentive, reliable, and calm when your pet requires extra support. During the summer, I maintain a flexible schedule and provide regular updates, photos, and communication so you can feel confident your pet is safe and well cared for while you're away. Whether your pet needs a walk, drop-in visit, or overnight care, my goal is to make them feel comfortable, loved, and cared for just like they would be at home. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. During the summer, I maintain a flexible schedule that allows me to provide dependable care, regular visits, and timely communication. I carefully manage my commitments to ensure pets receive the attention, exercise, feeding, and companionship they need. Whether your pet needs a quick drop-in, a long walk, or overnight care, I strive to maintain their normal routine and make their time away from you as stress-free as possible. Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities. I follow all care instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, medications, exercise routines, and household rules. I have experience caring for pets with medical needs, including seizure disorders, and understand the importance of attentiveness, punctuality, and clear communication. When caring for pets in a client's home, I treat both the pet and the home with respect. I make sure pets are secure, comfortable, and supervised appropriately, and I provide regular updates and photos so you always know how they're doing.

About: I provide dependable pet care services including drop-in visits, feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, and administering medications if needed. I focus on keeping pets comfortable by maintaining their routines and giving them plenty of attention while you’re away. I’ve grown up caring for a wide variety of animals, including dogs, cats, chickens, sheep, cattle, rabbits, and turtles. With years of hands-on experience, I’m confident working with animals of all sizes and temperaments. My studies in Animal Sciences at Purdue University have also strengthened my understanding of animal behavior and care. I currently work part-time and have a flexible schedule, allowing me to spend quality time with each pet. I’m most available in the evenings and weekends, but I do my best to accommodate different needs. I’m committed to providing safe, reliable care and treating every pet like my own. Pet care fits easily into my routine, and I prioritize making time for each animal I care for. While I do have a few part-time jobs, my schedule is flexible and I am especially available during evenings. I’m able to adjust my availability as needed and can be reliable for consistent care, drop-ins, or overnight stays depending on your pet’s needs. I prioritize safety, consistency, and making pets feel comfortable in their own environment. In a client’s home, I follow all care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, exercise, and any specific routines your pet is used to. I check in on animals at a minimum of twice a day, and more frequently when needed, to ensure they are happy, healthy, and safe. I am attentive to each pet’s behavior and environment, making sure they have clean spaces, fresh water, and plenty of care and attention. My goal is to provide reliable, trustworthy care so you can feel confident your pet is in good hands while you’re away.

“(Written from the perspective of Margot, a female black lab.) Carrie was a nice lady. From the minute she first came by to meet me, she knew right where to scratch and rub. I can tell she really knows how to deal with us doggos. She fed me dinner (always so yummy!) and took me out on a walk -- which was probably all about looking for squirrels, but it gave me a chance to pee and do my business. I don't know why my human has to go away sometimes, but when he does, I hope I'll keep on getting visits from Carrie! I'll bet she'll take great care of me when I have to board overnight too!”
“Marissa was great with our two dogs and two cats. She also handled the roaming neighbor cat that likes to pop in and out of our house from time to time. Great communication, very responsive, and wonderful handling of our pets. Would recommend to others needing care for their animals.”

“Thank you very much for taking care of Quantum! This was the longest we've all been away since adopting her, and we sure appreciate the daily drop in visits so she could remain at home in her familiar surroundings. We were happy to get daily photos, even if most of them were her hiding under the bed. :) Thanks again.”

About: Iv’e taken care of my household pets my entire life, having dogs since I was born. I graduate from West Lafayette High School in May and will be attending Purdue for Kinesiology. I’d love to meet and care for your pets in my free time. As a student I have a flexible schedule to be there whenever you need. I care for pets by spending my time with them and making sure all their needs are met. I love adding them into my schedule going on car rides and walks with me during the day.
About: I have loved animals, since I can remember. In the past 7 years I have been working in a doggy daycare in both PetSmart and Dogtopia. And I'm professionally trained on dog behavior. Im also an experienced dog groomer. Monday through Friday: Anytime Saturdays: Anytime Sundays: Anytime I'm dependable with my scheduling and I'll try to accommodate. I hope to sit your fur babies! 💞 💞💞 I do a in-person interview to see if it's a good fit. I wanna make sure that I know you and your fur baby. I take pictures and videos throughout the service. And I make sure I have your number in case of emergencys or just to give you updates on your pet.

About: I have had animals all of my life and have cared for them immensely. My family and friends say I have a special way with animals. I worked at a dog daycare and boarding facility for almost 2 years and got lots of experience caring for dogs there as well as opportunities to sit outside of it which has become a huge part of my life. I have knowledge and experience on all sorts of problems that may arise in both cats and dogs including cpr. I am currently a full-time purdue student who takes most classes online so I have plenty of time to care for your fur baby! I love going on walks so you can guarantee your fur baby will get some long peaceful and smellful walks! So far I have done both in-home and in my home. I make sure to have a specific wake up sleep schedule so my animals and the ones I have watched have a routine and care. As I mentioned before I love walks… so walks are guaranteed! In the clients home I make sure to provide the same level of care and attention to the pet as I would my own or in my own home!
“Kylie was wonderful. We had a few changes - one dog needed to be boarded at the vet and we left a day later than expected. She was great making sure we saw pics every day. Both Sadie and Kit loved her. We will definitely use her again!”

“Gabrielle was amazing! She communicated thoroughly and made sure our cat Mimi was in good hands. She sent great photos and asked us questions to make sure Mimi had as little change from her normal routine as possible.”

About: I have had dogs my whole life, being involved with caring for them and training them! Along with that, I have pet sat for neighbors, friends and family many times. I also work with pets daily at my job of 4+ years. I currently work part time but my availability changes on a weekly basis. Due to this, I am looking for something with lots of flexibility as I am home from college for the summer. I have been around pets my whole life and I am very comfortable being around, caring for, and walking/playing with any size or age. While I have dogs of my own, they will not be with me when I am caring for your pets. I will keep an eye on your pets when you can’t so you have one less thing to worry about!
“Mariana did a great job caring for Cosmo - taking him out for walks and to do his business. She also made sure he got his meds and followed up and got our house key back to us in a timely fashion.”

About: Hello! I am Mia, a PhD student at Purdue University studying astrobiology. I have always had a passion for animals and have been a WAG/Rover walker and sitter for 6 years. As a kid I would beg my parents for a dog, and never got one, but I believe that is what keeps me constantly entertained by them! I became the neighborhood "petsitter" in my early high school years and have taken care of pets ranging from dogs to parrots. Along with that I was a collegiate cross country runner so I could walk your dogs for as long as they want, I wont get tired! Flexible, I am a student and a researcher so my availability can vary but for the most part I can be pretty flexible and do work on my own schedule I prefer to dog sit at my clients home because I have a small apartment with no backyard and I’m near a very busy street:)
The median cost per visit for dog sitting in West Lafayette is $18
Dog parents share their Rover experiences - West Lafayette
We were very nervous leaving our fur baby home for the first time. Jamie was wonderful, she spoiled our Penny and sent tons of pictures. It was a great experience for both pup and parents. Our son loved getting to see his dog each night before bed and felt like he didn't miss her as much as when we've boarder her in the past. We will definitely be using Jamie again if we can't take Penny with us or habe grandparents babysit!

Sophia did an excellent job caring for our two miniature schnauzers, Schatzi and Frieda, while we were away for the weekend. She was reliable, communicative, and provided regular updates and photos, which gave us great peace of mind knowing our dogs were well cared for. It was clear that she genuinely cared about our pets and took the time to make sure they were comfortable and happy. We came home to two well-cared-for dogs, and the entire experience was stress-free from start to finish. We would absolutely book with Sophia again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter.

Faith is a wonderful, trusted dog walker. We have two large dogs who are reactive to other dogs and do not like strangers. Faith is very responsible and did fantastic with both of them. They love her and listen well to her. They get excited as soon as she enters our driveway. Faith follows our instructions and is a great communicator. She also understands dogs very well and is very observant. She sends a message if she notices that a dog behaved a bit differently than they usually do. Our family very much appreciated her help and we will miss her after she graduates and moves elsewhere.

Grace is wonderful! We had some last-minute changes to our holiday plans, and she was able to accommodate these on late notice. Grace did a great job of checking in on our "fur baby", and is so kind and caring. Our dog had a great time with Grace! We highly recommend her and will contact her again when we have future out-of-town trips :)

Kendall is an amazing Rover! She gets along wonderfully with my Australian Shepherd puppy, Argo, and always keeps me updated with photos and notes. I rely on her daily for check-ins, and it gives me real peace of mind knowing Argo is in such caring hands. I highly recommend her for her communication, reliability, and genuine care for pets.

Caitlin was caring towards my dog, and even though it was just a drop-in service, she still played with one of my cats. She made a thorough report for just a 30-minute visit to let my dog out while I had to work late. She also provided multiple pictures, even though I said she did not have to. She was also accommodating when the other sitter I had scheduled for a meet and greet no-showed, and she was able to meet my needs quickly, even though it was a last-minute booking. I would recommend her service.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
