About: Growing up on a farm, I’ve loved being around and tending to animals since I was a little girl. I had dogs and cats my whole life (except for right now) and have loved learning to meet their needs! I am a part-time social worker at a local non-profit organization. I am also beginning online grad school to become a therapist. With both of these commitments, I primarily work from home. My weeks are pretty flexible! I live in a home with a fenced backyard and room for pets to play and be active! I currently have no permanent pets here. I am eager to travel to homes to provide company, activity, and care to pets!

Surama was very patient with them & made their stay a good one regardless. We didn't anticipate this issue & felt terrible about her having to deal with cleaning so many messes. When I take your dog for a walk, I won’t be on my phone because you need to be on the lookout for potential danger. About: Ever since I was a little girl we have always had a dog in the house so, when I turned 18 I adopted one of my own but after 16 1/2 years of loving her, I had to say good bye. Thus, sparked my motivation to help others care for and love their pet(s) when they’re in need. I have experience with puppys, potty training, leash & clicker training among other things! I love to execute play time and know the importance of expending energy. The dogs I have trained are very well mannered and learn to behave well around people and other pets & listen to commands. My friends rely on me often to dog-sit and I’ll often care for & hang out with their pets while they’re at work or out of town. I have experience administering medicine and taking care of them when they’re sick or recovering from surgery as well. I work from home and this leaves me with plenty of time to take care of your pet and expend their energy with play time and walks. Living so close to Sloans lake and various dog parks means that your pup(s) are getting great exercise and outdoor time (unless it’s too hot or cold for them). When it is too warm to be outside for too long I am making sure your pet(s) are staying hydrated and we stay active inside playing fetch, tug, and other fun games!

“This was our dogs' first stay with anyone new. They were both anxious & kept peeing & pooping in Surama's home because of it, even though she was taking them out very often. Surama was very patient with them & made their stay a good one regardless. We didn't anticipate this issue & felt terrible about her having to deal with cleaning so many messes. I appreciated that she was open & honest about what was happening, while assuring me it was fine & in no way causing us to feel worse about it. She also sent pictures of them playing with her family & other dogs, which my daughter especially appreciated. Surama was so kind & we will definitely use her in the future.😊👍”

About: I have taken care of my parents senior dog in my home while they were out of town. Helped a former coworker with her dog, also in my home, while she was out of town. I have helped a friend of mine with their senior dog + 4 cats in their home as drop in visits while they were out of town. Since starting Rover, I have had multiple in home stays with dogs, and homes that have both dogs and cats. I work full-time from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. My morning routine includes leaving the house by 7:00 AM to take my child to daycare or school. Before departing, all pets in my care are taken outside, fed, and provided with any necessary medications. Depending on the proximity of your home, I may be available to stop by during my lunch break to check on and care for your pet. After work, I pick up my child from daycare and can typically arrive at your home around 5:00 PM. Upon arrival, dogs will be taken outside promptly and fed as needed. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or to discuss specific care needs or scheduling. I care for pets with the same level of attention and compassion as I do my own. I follow each pet’s individual feeding schedule, ensure they always have access to fresh water, and administer any required medications as directed. Dogs are taken outside regularly for bathroom breaks and exercise, and I make time to play and engage with them to keep them happy and active. For cats, I maintain clean litter boxes in addition to providing consistent feeding, fresh water, and attentive care. I also enjoy offering treats when permitted; my daughter especially loves helping to give treats, making it a fun and positive experience for your pet.
About: I have taken care of dogs since middle school. I love dogs and have two on my own - a Dalmatian and a Basset Hound. My family is very active and we walk the doggies daily! My job is very flexible and I have a lot of extra time during the day to spend time with the doggies! I have had dogs all my life! I love dogs and I spend a lot of time outdoors with the doggies! I make sure the doggies get at least one walk a day but more often than not they get walked twice daily.
“This experience was wonderful for both my dog and I. I have never left him before and he had a great time. Emily is an awesome dog sitter. She sent me pictures every day. She has two of the sweetest little boys that Augie enjoyed playing with and also a small dog of her own. After the first picture arrived I was able to enjoy my vacation. He was glad to see me but I’m sure he’s going to miss Emily and the boys. I was very happy with her care and will use her again when I need to. I would highly recommend her to keep your dog and feel comfortable about leaving it there.”

Since I was 10, I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities, and over the years, friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me to walk, feed, and care for their dogs like my own. I have experience with dogs of all ages, from puppies to seniors. I’m especially comfortable caring for older or sick dogs, including giving oral medications and providing gentle, patient support when they need it most. I know how much your dog means to you—because I feel the same way about mine. I’m a student at Purdue University studying food science. However, I have a flexible schedule and lots of free time. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or just keeping them company, I’m here to give your dog the love and attention they deserve. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. During drop-in visits or walks, I make sure your dog feels secure, happy, and well cared for in their own familiar space. I follow any instructions you provide closely whether that’s feeding, medications, or routines so your dog stays comfortable and stress-free. I also send photo updates so you can see how your baby is doing while you’re away!
