“Thank you very much for taking care of Quantum! This was the longest we've all been away since adopting her, and we sure appreciate the daily drop in visits so she could remain at home in her familiar surroundings. We were happy to get daily photos, even if most of them were her hiding under the bed. :) Thanks again.”

I do have one dog, a golden doodle that get's along with anyone and everyone!

About: I have taken care of multiple pets at a single time while handling health issues in those pets. As well I have housesat for multiple cats and I love taking care of pets of any kind!! I have classes during the week which range in time but usually around from around 10-3 ish as well as working in a lab, but I can always make time for the pets! “(Written from the perspective of Margot, a female black lab.) Carrie was a nice lady. From the minute she first came by to meet me, she knew right where to scratch and rub. I can tell she really knows how to deal with us doggos. She fed me dinner (always so yummy!) and took me out on a walk -- which was probably all about looking for squirrels, but it gave me a chance to pee and do my business. I don't know why my human has to go away sometimes, but when he does, I hope I'll keep on getting visits from Carrie! I'll bet she'll take great care of me when I have to board overnight too!”
“Mariana did a great job caring for Cosmo - taking him out for walks and to do his business. She also made sure he got his meds and followed up and got our house key back to us in a timely fashion.”

About: I've had several dogs throughout my life with various personalities! I am very active so long walks are my favorite. I've had cats, dogs and puppies all at different points in my life. I'm here to help with your furry friends :) I work a typical 9-5 during the week and on weekend mornings until about noon. I'm free weekend afternoons and weekday evenings! Perfect for evening walks! I have experience working with hyperactive dogs and have no problems getting to know shy puppies as well. I love them all big and small! I have a lot of care and patience with dogs of all ages.
About: I’ve grown up with dogs ever since I was a little kid. I had 2 childhood dogs and currently have 3 dogs back in my home state of Illinois, one Labrador and two lab mixes. I absolutely love dogs and know what’s required to keep dogs happy and healthy! Pretty much the only animals I don’t love are bugs, and I have pet sit for neighbors back home and watched dogs, cats, and even rabbits! I do need to disclose that due to a recent development of chronic wrist pain, I am unable to walk dogs that have a tendency to pull on their leashes, however outside of that task, I'm able to do just about anything else to keep a dog healthy, happy, and entertained. I am currently a full time graduate student at Purdue, with about 2-3 hours of classes per day. There may also be other times I am unavailable due to exams, class projects, or doctors appointments, but outside of class times I generally have a very open schedule to attend to your pet's needs. Unfortunately, I am unable to care for pets in my own home at this time as my lease does not allow animals of any kind.

About: I've been around dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I always played an active role in caring for our family dogs, from daily walks and feeding to playtime and giving them plenty of love and attention. Today, I regularly pet sit and dog walk for friends and family, and I genuinely enjoy getting to know each dog's unique personality. Whether your pup loves long walks, playing fetch, or just relaxing with company, I'll make sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for while you're away. I work a full-time schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on weekdays, but I am available to provide attentive pet care during evenings, overnight stays, and weekends. I'll make sure your dog receives plenty of exercise, affection, and consistent care while following their normal routine so they feel comfortable and well cared for in your home. I provide attentive, personalized care in your home so your dog can stay comfortable in a familiar environment. I'll follow your pet's normal routine, including feeding, walks, potty breaks, playtime, medication (if needed), and plenty of love and attention. I understand that every dog has different needs and energy levels, so I always adapt my care to match their routine and personality. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and well cared for while you're away, while also treating your home with the same respect I would my own.

“Katherine was able to book with us last minute due to a family emergency and was willing to meet the dogs within 24 hours of our booking. She handled our dogs well (they jump a lot with new people) and took tons of cute pictures. She offered to help with taking out our trash while we were out of town and had great overall communication with us. We would definitely rebook with her!”

“The pictures she sent were great and showed Ziti having a wonderful time, she got some porch hangout sessions and tunnel play! Allison is very kind and has great communication. Thanks for taking care of my angel!”

About: I have been pet sitting for family and friends for around 5-7 years, I have done overnights and drop in visits, I love it all. I currently have two dogs of my own who I adore and take care of regularly. I am currently a part-time working college student who will make any time needed work for your animals! I have pups of my own so I know the importance of having a trusted caregiver be there for them. I will listen to your instructions carefully and do whatever you ask of me. And, of course give all the love needed for your furbaby.
About: I have been dogsitting my whole life for family and friends. I am good with all ages, even puppies. I also have a dog of my own that I’ve been taking care of for 11 years. I work at Pet Supplies Plus, so I have plenty of pet knowledge as well! I am currently working part- time, but I will have plenty of spare time to take care of your pups. My work schedule differs every week, so my availability will differ too. I can accommodate to whatever you want me to do! I will give your dog lots of love, pets, and keep them company while you are gone!
“Olivia was responsive to my last-minute request and super flexible! I’m so bummed that she’s heading away for school already, but will definitely be reaching out to her again when she’s home from break! Thanks for taking good care of Birdie, Olivia! ☺️”

“This is the first time I have hired a cat sitter through Rover and I must say that my experience with Jamie was first class and I would definitely hire Jamie again. She was so responsive to all of my concerns and messages, adjusted her schedule to best serve my pets' expectations of feeding times, and took such good care of them while I was gone. She's also a wonderful person and so fun to talk with. I'm so glad I met her and will definitely ask for her again. Thank you, Jamie!!”

About: I’ve always had a genuine love and affection for dogs and cats, but have never found myself in a life situation that allowed me to have one of my own. However taking care of my friends’ pets over the years has always allowed me to experience the joy of being around loving animals. I would love to do the same for others! I am currently self-employed and work remotely, meaning my schedule is extremely flexible and can be worked around most appointment times, even if they’re last-minute. I treat all animals with the respect and gentleness that they deserve, while recognizing that each pet has their own unique personality and treatment preferences.
“Kyra did an outstanding job with Lucy! Lucy is deaf & skittish with people, but seemed to know that Kyra would take good care of her. Would recommend Kyra highly to take care of your pet!”

“Megan did an excellent job looking after Winston while we were out of town! She was responsive, reliable, provided photos, and definitely gave us peace of mind that Winston was in good hands. We would definitely call Megan again for future drop in visits 😁”

About: I've had dogs and cats growing up my entire life. I absolutely love animals and would love the opportunity to meet yours! We currently have our cat, Piper, and Boston Terrier, Pongo. Please note, we no longer live in Indiana. Sometimes my profile will show up as an option for Indiana, but we are now located in Durham, NC. I work from home, so I would be home all day with your animals. I'm able to take breaks whenever for potty breaks, and we have a small, fenced in, front yard. Our complex also has a lot of walking pathes & with permission we love taking pets for longer walks around the area. We did recently move from Indiana to North Carolina, so please note we are now located in North Carolina for services. We live in a 3 bedroom townhome with a small fenced in front yard. We have plenty of sidewalks for walking & are just beside a larger dog park as well. My husband and I work together, so we are able to always be attentive to your pets needs.
About: I have 5 years experience in pet care ranging from house sitting to kennel/daycare. I can administer oral and topical medications. I understand consistency is key when pups are in-training and will practice their skills with them. I love dogs and strive for the best so you can rest! I have a full time job and have a set schedule for the most part. Small changes are not rare. I am available weekends and week days after 4:30pm. I believe that your animal is a family member. And in my experience, dogs are not too far off from toddlers. Like toddlers, dogs need enrichment, attention/affection, and routine.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Lafayette
We were very nervous leaving our fur baby home for the first time. Jamie was wonderful, she spoiled our Penny and sent tons of pictures. It was a great experience for both pup and parents. Our son loved getting to see his dog each night before bed and felt like he didn't miss her as much as when we've boarder her in the past. We will definitely be using Jamie again if we can't take Penny with us or habe grandparents babysit!

Faith is a wonderful, trusted dog walker. We have two large dogs who are reactive to other dogs and do not like strangers. Faith is very responsible and did fantastic with both of them. They love her and listen well to her. They get excited as soon as she enters our driveway. Faith follows our instructions and is a great communicator. She also understands dogs very well and is very observant. She sends a message if she notices that a dog behaved a bit differently than they usually do. Our family very much appreciated her help and we will miss her after she graduates and moves elsewhere.

Grace is wonderful! We had some last-minute changes to our holiday plans, and she was able to accommodate these on late notice. Grace did a great job of checking in on our "fur baby", and is so kind and caring. Our dog had a great time with Grace! We highly recommend her and will contact her again when we have future out-of-town trips :)

Kendall is an amazing Rover! She gets along wonderfully with my Australian Shepherd puppy, Argo, and always keeps me updated with photos and notes. I rely on her daily for check-ins, and it gives me real peace of mind knowing Argo is in such caring hands. I highly recommend her for her communication, reliability, and genuine care for pets.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
