“We had Beth watch our dog for the second time. She followed all instructions and did a fantastic job again. We love that we've found Beth. Our dog loves her and so do we!”

“Camila did an excellent job taking care of my cat while I was gone! My cat is known to make messes and act up while I’m gone and Camila happily cleaned up the messes she made! Camila was attentive, spent a lot of time with her (even if she didn’t always come out to say hi) and provided plenty of pictures. I would happily have her watch Jym again next time I’m out of town.”

“Caraline was great with our two cats! She was very responsive the whole time and provided great updates and pictures! She also saw that our cats have very different personalities and she tailored her care for both of them. I'd recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable sitter!”

“Abby always takes such good care of our kitty. She is reliable, thorough, follows instructions, and takes the funniest photos of our girl. We only use Abby in the area. Thank you Abby!”

About: Hi! I'm a Purdue student and experienced pet sitter with a lifelong love of animals. Having grown up with both dogs and cats, I'm comfortable caring for pets of all ages and personalities, from playful puppies and kittens to senior pets who need extra patience and attention. I've been caring for dogs and cats for over 10 years, beginning with pet sitting for neighbors and family friends at age 10. I also have experience caring for pets with medical needs, including administering care and monitoring pets with seizure disorders. I understand how important it is to have someone attentive, reliable, and calm when your pet requires extra support. During the summer, I maintain a flexible schedule and provide regular updates, photos, and communication so you can feel confident your pet is safe and well cared for while you're away. Whether your pet needs a walk, drop-in visit, or overnight care, my goal is to make them feel comfortable, loved, and cared for just like they would be at home. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. During the summer, I maintain a flexible schedule that allows me to provide dependable care, regular visits, and timely communication. I carefully manage my commitments to ensure pets receive the attention, exercise, feeding, and companionship they need. Whether your pet needs a quick drop-in, a long walk, or overnight care, I strive to maintain their normal routine and make their time away from you as stress-free as possible. Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities. I follow all care instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, medications, exercise routines, and household rules. I have experience caring for pets with medical needs, including seizure disorders, and understand the importance of attentiveness, punctuality, and clear communication. When caring for pets in a client's home, I treat both the pet and the home with respect. I make sure pets are secure, comfortable, and supervised appropriately, and I provide regular updates and photos so you always know how they're doing.
“Ruth was prompt with communication and was happy to do a meet and greet before the booking. I can tell my dogs had a great time with her! We will be using her again in the future!”

“Katherine was able to book with us last minute due to a family emergency and was willing to meet the dogs within 24 hours of our booking. She handled our dogs well (they jump a lot with new people) and took tons of cute pictures. She offered to help with taking out our trash while we were out of town and had great overall communication with us. We would definitely rebook with her!”

About: I have taken care of multiple pets at a single time while handling health issues in those pets. As well I have housesat for multiple cats and I love taking care of pets of any kind!! I have classes during the week which range in time but usually around from around 10-3 ish as well as working in a lab, but I can always make time for the pets! I am fully available on the weekends as well!! I am able to do whatever routines your dog or cat is used to and walk them as much as they want and / or need!
“Sydney was great!! I have two pups and one is reactive to strangers and Sydney was so patient and willing to work with her. I was confident that she would be able to take care of both of the pups! She was communicative provided updates and if I ever need a future dog sitter, she is someone I will definitely be reaching out to and 100% recommend for anyone else looking for a dog sitter in the area”

“Zachary went above and beyond for my dog at his check ins! Even when Simba was unsure about having someone new in the house at first, Zachary managed to make friends quickly and now it seems like they’re good buds! I can’t thank him enough :)”

“Katelyn did wonderfully watching our cat while we were gone! We so appreciated the frequent updates, her communication when she needed clarification on instructions I left, and ESPECIALLY her flexibility when we had to be gone longer than expected. She was happy to schedule more visits and work with our travel schedule. Highly recommend, and my kitty clearly loved the time she devoted to cuddles!”

“Fiona did great with Oliver. She is a great presence for the dog and was very understanding of the little personality traits that may come off to others negatively. My dog immediately fell in love with her and would love nothing more than if we re-booked her in the future.”

“(Written from the perspective of Margot, a female black lab.) Carrie was a nice lady. From the minute she first came by to meet me, she knew right where to scratch and rub. I can tell she really knows how to deal with us doggos. She fed me dinner (always so yummy!) and took me out on a walk -- which was probably all about looking for squirrels, but it gave me a chance to pee and do my business. I don't know why my human has to go away sometimes, but when he does, I hope I'll keep on getting visits from Carrie! I'll bet she'll take great care of me when I have to board overnight too!”
“Gabrielle was wonderful with our two small dogs — especially the shy one who she won over easily! Very prompt, kind and great at keeping us up to date throughout the day. A highly recommend her!”

“Aurianna is great with my two dogs. They really seem to like her being here. She is professional and her communication is excellent. It is great piece of mind to know my dogs are taken care of on my long days at work.”

“Grace was a great sitter for Pluto! She visited every day and was on time. She sent photos of Pluto with each visit. She was very accommodating when we asked for her assistance.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Lafayette
Camila was amazing! My cat, Samy, need multiple medication every 12 hours and she took great care of him. Samy even hid under the couch for one of her visits but she managed to get him out and give him his medicine. Samy seems to have warmed up to her and started greeting her at the door when she arrived.

I hired Elise for drop-in visits when my current pet sitter wasn't available at a certain time for my vacation. Elise quickly got back to me and found a way to make it work. She was an absolute lifesaver! I have a special-needs diabetic cat, and Elise immediately put me at ease. She took extra time to prepare beforehand, asked questions, and welcomed me walking her through our routine on day one. She was incredibly sweet, gentle, and comfortable handling Cheeto’s insulin injections, blood glucose meter, and liquid oral medication. She followed every detailed care instruction, including monitoring blood glucose safety thresholds before administering insulin and using appetite toppers when needed. She never rushed her visits, spent quality time sitting with Cheeto, and left detailed, reassuring visit notes. She even thoughtfully returned Cheeto’s care guide at the end. I couldn't have asked for a better first experience on Rover. Thank you, Elise! :)

Dannie was fantastic with our cats (and with us!) Over the course of a week she took care of our 2 cats, feeding, water, litter, play, etc. She provided nice daily updates. She even got pictures of both of our cats (one was easy; the other tends to hide from strangers, so it's impressive that she got him to come out enough for a shot or two). Overall, Dannie was great. I wouldn't hesitate to use her again.

Rachel was amazing and made my first Rover experience so easy and stress-free. She was super responsive, flexible with scheduling, and incredibly kind. It was clear right away that my cat would be in great hands. She sent multiple photos and thoughtful updates after every visit, which meant a lot to me while I was away. On top of that, I had a travel issue come up and needed a last-minute visit with very little notice. Rachel responded quickly and even helped take care of the booking when I didn’t have service or availability to do so. I truly can’t thank her enough. She went above and beyond, and I’ll definitely be booking with her again. I’d recommend her to anyone needing a trustworthy and caring sitter!

Kath has been wonderful with Billie. I truly appreciate how flexible and reliable she is, which makes scheduling much easier and less stressful. Knowing that she is a veterinary technician gives me extra confidence, especially when it comes to administering medications correctly and safely. Most importantly, she is someone I genuinely trust and feel secure leaving Billie with. I highly recommend her.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Lafayette. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
