“Julia did an amazing job watching my dogs!! They’re both herding breeds and kind of a handful and she did great with them, they were both very happy and tired when I got home. She was also very communicative, respectful, clean, and sent lots of updates. I would definitely book with her again!”

“I am very happy with her service. Our puppies were looks happy with her. She visited us couple times beforehand and checked with us if any information she needed to know to take care of our puppies. A She also took care of my beloved plants. I will recommend her to anyone. Thank you Rebecca for all the help!”

“Wow! Wow! We are so grateful. Tatyana took loving care of our Ragdoll girl. She is a rescue cat and an emotionally needy, super loving cat who had never been without us. She got all the loving, playing, grooming and snuggling she needed and we could not be more thankful. We were honored to share our home with them and it was left in perfect condition. We highly recommend her and her wonderful partner. Thank you, thank you!”

“Myra was the BEST! Our Akita, Koa, isn’t always the easiest or friendliest fella but he took to Myra very quickly! Myra understood his little quirks and asked appropriate questions during the meet and greet. Koa is a big guy - so having someone who feels confident in walking a big dog was huge for us. Myra was just that!!! Totally reliable. Koa got his walks, spent plenty of time outside and seemed to have a great time with Myra. Myra also sent pictures and updates often which was so great for me and helped me relax much more on vacation. When we returned home we had a clean house and a happy dog - what more could you ask for! I highly recommend Myra and am so happy to have found her and will rebook in the future. Thank you Myra for being so kind, patient and understanding with Koa and allowing us to relax as well!!”

“Kylee is terrific! She is great at communicating, accommodating, took care left our place, and left our home so nice and clean. Mushu loves them all, and we are so happy to have found them!”

“Samantha was great with Bear! She stayed at our place and took him on walks, played with him, and sent us pictures throughout the day. We really appreciated her help and look forward to having her back!”

“Sydney was very sweet with my pets and sent me pictures to let me know my cat was thriving while I was away. She was communicative and responsible, following all my instructions. I will definitely use her again!”

“Halona is wonderful! She is now our go-to walker and house sitter. Halona has taken our 100 lb American Bulldog on many walks, and has stayed at our home while we go on vacation, including a 10 day trip. She is friendly, always on time, and 100% trustworthy. And of course our dog absolutely adores her! We did lots of research and interviewed many candidates, she is the best by far. So happy to have found her!”

“Rachael is absolutely amazing! She stayed at our home for the week and took such great care of our dogs. They got plenty of walks, and her thoughtful updates (with pictures and videos!) really helped put us at ease while we were away. She clearly knows a lot about dog behavior and handled our big pups so well, even though they can be a handful .. at times 😝 We came home to happy dogs and a spotless house, it was perfect!! I’m so grateful we found her and can confidently say she’s our go to dog sitter from now on. Thank you so much, Rachael :)”

“This is the second time Brooke watched my girls for me, she’s great! Olive was diagnosed with an ear infection just a couple of days before I left town and Brooke did a fantastic job making sure she got her ear drops every day. Also, she sends me the best puppy pictures🩷”

“Megan was prompt and polite and good with our pets. We had a booking snafu and she was super agreeable and cooperative, and we came to a resolution. We would use her again for check-ins.”

“Ashley is absolutely amazing! She stayed at our home with Manchas for 15 days while we were on vacation, and she did an incredible job. She kept us updated every day with pictures and videos and always let us know how Manchas was doing and what they were up to. We truly appreciate everything she did and would 100% recommend her without hesitation. Thank you so much, Ashley—you’re awesome! Manchitas loves you just as much as we do 💕🐾”

“Tracy was great with our dog and was so easy to communicate with. We had a last minute mishap with a holiday gathering and Tracy was able to help us out last minute. We will definitely work with her again!”

“Erica was awesome! ! She was on time and friendly! We were able to get her on short notice on a Holiday weekend! When we returned our pups were happy and relaxed and sad to see her go! Our dogs have a new Bestie in Oregon 👍”

“Jovelle took great care of pup while we were away. She was a great communicator and always replied promptly. She left our home very clean too. I’d definitely hire Jovelle again!”

“Karma and Sierra were so great with our dog, Bella. She is shy and takes a minute to warm up to people. They had so much patience and spent a ton of time with her, giving her space to shine. They asked all the right questions and offered prior to sitting, even walked her so she'd be more comfortable with them. I am so appreciative how thoughtful and loving they were with her! They also took great care of our house and were super respectful. Thank you both!”

“April K. was an excellent house and dog sitter for our 12yr old senior dog Hank. She provided many updates/photos of activities with our dog which helped us relax a bit more on vacation. She is very communicative and responsive, good with detailed instructions, and happy to help out with miscellaneous things around the home. We would not hesitate to book her again if we take future trips away!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Waldon
Brenna was amazing. She came last minute (we had another Rover who got sick and has to cancel) and was perfect for our very new, very sweet, very anxious about people and separating from her people pup (15 lb chihuahua terrier mix). Brenna knew just how to be around our anxious dog, and our dog warmed up to her quickly. Our dog let Brenna hold her and cuddle her and even take her outside a few times while we were gone - nothing short of a miracle with this pup. I will be going back to Brenna again as often as needed!

We loved having Jordyn watch our dog, Hank! She was so great about keeping us updated and sending lots of pictures, which gave us such peace of mind while we were away. Hank seemed so happy when we got home, too! We had a not-so-great experience with a previous sitter, so Jordyn was truly a breath of fresh air. We’d absolutely recommend her & use her again!

This is the second time Brooke watched my girls for me, she’s great! Olive was diagnosed with an ear infection just a couple of days before I left town and Brooke did a fantastic job making sure she got her ear drops every day. Also, she sends me the best puppy pictures🩷

Monica was amazing! The first day we met and talked with her for our meet and greet, we were immediately at ease with having her sit for our dog and home. When we were away, we could tell that Monica was so kind, thoughtful and playful with Coco. She played with her toys with her, threw the ball, spent time in the yard and took her on neighborhood walks. She also took her on car rides and in general treated Coco like she was her own. We got so many adorable pictures and updates, and when we got home from our trip, Coco was calm and happy. We could not be more pleased. Also, Monica took beautiful care of our house and administered all of Coco's medications throughout the day. We would hire Monica to sit again in a heartbeat.

Vicki is seriously amazing, she sent pics and videos throughout the day with Dexter and he just loves her so much! We’re always so cautious and nervous leaving Dexter with people we don’t really know but we knew since the meet and greet that she would be perfect. We are 100% planning to keep using her.

Kelly is one of a kind! First, she took the time and effort to meet up with us before the sit to make sure everything was clear and comfortable. She is very communicative (sent photos and updates regularly) and timely in her responses regarding scheduling. Murray was happy and calm when we got home, and the house was perfect. I never once felt anxious with Kelly at the house with him. Thank you Kelly!

Matt did a wonderful job with our 2 senior dogs He really loves the dogs we booked house sitting dog sitting overnights at our house. He even sent photos of our happy dogs hanging out with him on the family room couch We would highly recommend recommend him without any reservations!

Erica was an amazing dogsitter for my 2 pups! She was super communicative and kept in touch the whole time with messages and photos. She took extra care with my more tricky and shy pup, which I greatly appreciated. It was so nice knowing they were in great hands! Would definitely recommend!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Waldon on Rover is $66.35 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of August 2026, there are 8,749 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Waldon. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Waldon walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Waldon maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Waldon choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Waldon. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
