“Rachael is absolutely amazing! She stayed at our home for the week and took such great care of our dogs. They got plenty of walks, and her thoughtful updates (with pictures and videos!) really helped put us at ease while we were away. She clearly knows a lot about dog behavior and handled our big pups so well, even though they can be a handful .. at times 😝 We came home to happy dogs and a spotless house, it was perfect!! I’m so grateful we found her and can confidently say she’s our go to dog sitter from now on. Thank you so much, Rachael :)”

“I am very happy with her service. Our puppies were looks happy with her. She visited us couple times beforehand and checked with us if any information she needed to know to take care of our puppies. A She also took care of my beloved plants. I will recommend her to anyone. Thank you Rebecca for all the help!”

About: I’ve spent years caring for others through nannying and customer service roles, so being dependable, attentive, and patient comes naturally to me. I have experience working at a veterinary hospital as a receptionist and have done pet sitting for a few years now. I truly love being around animals and make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I also enjoy staying active with walks, playtime, and giving pets plenty of companionship and affection. I'm currently working part time so my schedule is very flexible at the moment. I'm hoping to mainly focus on building my pet sitting business. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I do my best to keep their routine as normal and comfortable as possible. I follow all feeding, walking, medication, and care instructions carefully while making sure pets get plenty of attention, playtime, and companionship. I understand that being away from their owners can be stressful for some pets, so I focus on creating a calm, safe, and loving environment while keeping owners updated with messages and photos.
“We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience with Efraim. This was our first time using Rover, and we were trying to find someone who could confidently care for both our indoor cat and our dog, who has significant anxiety and some recent behavioral challenges. In the past we’ve had to board our dog and hire a separate sitter for our cat, which was complicated and expensive. From the beginning, Efraim was incredibly responsive, thoughtful, and flexible. After noticing that he also works as a dog walker and is pursuing dog training, we reached out to see if he would be open to meeting our dog. He happily arranged a meet-and-greet and then spent time walking our dog in the weeks before our trip so they could build trust and familiarity. That effort alone gave us enormous peace of mind before leaving. While we were away, Efraim took amazing care of everything. He walked our dog daily, brushed our (very fluffy!) cat, kept the litter box clean, and made sure both animals were comfortable and well cared for. He also maintained our large yard with multiple hummingbird feeders and bird fountains, keeping everything clean and filled. We received daily updates with photos and videos, and he was always communicative about how things were going. When we returned home, the house was immaculate — he had even stripped the bedding and run the laundry. Efraim is responsible, kind, and incredibly conscientious. We felt completely comfortable having him in our home and caring for our animals, and it made our vacation so much more relaxing knowing everything was in such good hands. We would absolutely hire him again and recommend him without hesitation.”

“Erika was fantastic with the dogs and excellent with communication. We felt at ease the whole time she was with the pups and she left the home spotless. Can’t recommend her enough.”

“Myra was the BEST! Our Akita, Koa, isn’t always the easiest or friendliest fella but he took to Myra very quickly! Myra understood his little quirks and asked appropriate questions during the meet and greet. Koa is a big guy - so having someone who feels confident in walking a big dog was huge for us. Myra was just that!!! Totally reliable. Koa got his walks, spent plenty of time outside and seemed to have a great time with Myra. Myra also sent pictures and updates often which was so great for me and helped me relax much more on vacation. When we returned home we had a clean house and a happy dog - what more could you ask for! I highly recommend Myra and am so happy to have found her and will rebook in the future. Thank you Myra for being so kind, patient and understanding with Koa and allowing us to relax as well!!”

“Tina was an amazing overnight dog sitter at our house! My dog is a rescue and is very nervous around other animals, so we have to have the dog sitter stay at our house when we can't take our dog with us. However, she warmed right up to Tina and they had a great time together. It was a 4 day overnight job. Tina was wonderful about sending updates and pictures, and she was detail oriented in giving medications. Will definitely use her again!”

“She did a great job caring for my needy pup and keeping my house in order during an extended trip. It gave me peace of mind while I was gone, which I appreciate a lot.”

“Halona took excellent care of our 60 pound Border Collie Mix. She made sure our dog got a lot of exercise, and communicated proactively which put our minds at ease (this was the first time we’ve had an in-home sitter for our pet)). I highly recommend Halona and will definitely use her services again.”

“Erica was an amazing dogsitter for my 2 pups! She was super communicative and kept in touch the whole time with messages and photos. She took extra care with my more tricky and shy pup, which I greatly appreciated. It was so nice knowing they were in great hands! Would definitely recommend!”
“Virgina is very sweet and communicated well with us throughout her three week stay at our home with our dog Louie. She took great care of our beloved dog and home. He has meds and specific diet which she followed at our request. She also took him on lots of walks. The home was clean and tidy before we arrived home. I definitely will use her services again and recommend her for any help you may need.”

“Jessica has watched our home and our sweet pup, Sierra, twice now and has been exceptional. She is fantastic with young dogs needs, and an excellent communicator with daily pics to check in and provide updates. Jessica has also been great about giving our high energy lab plenty of exercise with daily walks. She was great with our home as well, leaving it just the way it was when she arrived...love that. Thanks again Jessica! We look forward to having you watch Sierra again soon!”

“Vicki did a phenomenal job taking care of our boy Mylo. Mylo had to get some emergency stitches the day before we were going out of town. Vicki handled his care perfectly, sent us regular updates and dealt with all the drama that comes with Mylo having to wear a cone. We cannot thank her enough and absolutely would recommend her to everyone else.”

About: I’ve literally never lived without a pet — cats and dogs have been part of my life since childhood, and caring for them feels second nature. I offer thoughtful cat care and reliable dog walks, with an approach that’s calm, observant, and tailored to each pet’s personality. I know cats need patience and routine 😌, while many dogs thrive on consistent walks and positive energy. My goal is simple: you feel relaxed while you’re away, and your pet feels safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for. I currently work from home and can bring my laptop with me if need be but I also have plenty of time in between my calls/tasks to dedicate time to the care of your pet :) I have time and I’d love to do it spending time with your pets. I show up ready to give your pets calm, attentive care — feeding, fresh water, litter boxes, walks, and playtime as they like it. I let cats lead the interaction and follow dogs’ routines, making sure everyone feels safe, comfortable, and happy. I send updates (and photos!) so you can relax knowing your furry friend is in good hands.
“April K. was an excellent house and dog sitter for our 12yr old senior dog Hank. She provided many updates/photos of activities with our dog which helped us relax a bit more on vacation. She is very communicative and responsive, good with detailed instructions, and happy to help out with miscellaneous things around the home. We would not hesitate to book her again if we take future trips away!”

“We had a fantastic experience with Courtney. She has a very calm demeanor and Bear loved her the minute he met her. We felt very comfortable leaving Bear and our home in Courtney's care. She was very attentive to Bear's needs and sent updates and pics everyday. She was also very respectful of our house and left it in great shape upon return. If you are looking for someone dependable and who you can trust, I highly recommend Courtney. We will definitely be using her in the future.”

“Destiny and Treonna did a fantastic job taking care of our pup Nova as well as the house. We got a bunch of pictures updates during the busy holiday time which we greatly appreciated. Nova was left in great hands and we will be using them going forward given the opportunity!”

We have used Courtney several times in the past as our dog Bear loves her and we feel very comfortable with having Courtney at our house. Bear is a very large energetic German Shepard mix who can be a handful. Everytime we have Courtney watch him, my family thinks he is calmer when we return. This time we had Courtney housesit while we were away in Hawaii for 8 days and couldn't be happier. She was very communicative about our dog and cats. And was even able to give our cat with an ear infection antibiotic ear drops twice a day without issue. She was also very insightful and proactice ordering cat food to be delivered when she knew we would run out on the day we would return quite late. As usual we returned to a very clean well kept house. Courtney is a very respectful house guest who leaves the house in perfect order.

Monica was amazing! The first day we met and talked with her for our meet and greet, we were immediately at ease with having her sit for our dog and home. When we were away, we could tell that Monica was so kind, thoughtful and playful with Coco. She played with her toys with her, threw the ball, spent time in the yard and took her on neighborhood walks. She also took her on car rides and in general treated Coco like she was her own. We got so many adorable pictures and updates, and when we got home from our trip, Coco was calm and happy. We could not be more pleased. Also, Monica took beautiful care of our house and administered all of Coco's medications throughout the day. We would hire Monica to sit again in a heartbeat.

Vicki is seriously amazing, she sent pics and videos throughout the day with Dexter and he just loves her so much! We’re always so cautious and nervous leaving Dexter with people we don’t really know but we knew since the meet and greet that she would be perfect. We are 100% planning to keep using her.

Kelly is one of a kind! First, she took the time and effort to meet up with us before the sit to make sure everything was clear and comfortable. She is very communicative (sent photos and updates regularly) and timely in her responses regarding scheduling. Murray was happy and calm when we got home, and the house was perfect. I never once felt anxious with Kelly at the house with him. Thank you Kelly!

Matt did a wonderful job with our 2 senior dogs He really loves the dogs we booked house sitting dog sitting overnights at our house. He even sent photos of our happy dogs hanging out with him on the family room couch We would highly recommend recommend him without any reservations!

Erica was an amazing dogsitter for my 2 pups! She was super communicative and kept in touch the whole time with messages and photos. She took extra care with my more tricky and shy pup, which I greatly appreciated. It was so nice knowing they were in great hands! Would definitely recommend!
Brooke was amazing! I was pretty nervous about leaving the girls for so long, but Brooke eased my mind. She stuck to the schedule we agreed on and sent me adorable pictures everyday. Brooke is very attentive and reliable. When I got home, my place was cleaner than it was when I left and most importantly, my girls looked happy and healthy. I will definitely be booking her again.

Rebecca has been caring for Mikko and Kona for a year and a half now. She is truly the best! She takes great care of them, and has even had to take Mikko to the vet with an emergency and did fantastic caring for him! She is a great communicator and loves Mikko and Kona very much!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Waldon walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Waldon maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Waldon choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Waldon. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
