About: I've taken care of dogs and cats all my life. Since I was 16, family and friends have trusted me to care for their fur-babies while they are away, and I have loved every second of it! I am very much an animal person, and I pride myself in being dependable and loving to every single pet I meet. I work as an elementary school teacher, which gives me plenty of afternoon time to care for your babies! I am available after 3pm all weekdays during the school year, and during the summer I'm even more flexible. During the summer, I am available after 8am throughout the day to do drop-ins. On the weekends, I am available in the morning and afternoon. In your home, I am able to care for your babies in any way they need. I will follow the directions you set, and I am flexible to your pet's specific needs.

I recognize the stress that comes with trusting a stranger with your pets, and I am committed to providing comfort for both you and your pet. I’ve been taking care of animals since I can remember and have experience with numerous breeds and energy levels. I work from home Mon-Thurs until 3pm but can be available for a lunchtime walk. I’m available all day Fri-Sun. I’m familiar with the requirements of constant attention to pets. I’m on call 24/7 for my 2 year old German shepherd, Mellie. She’s a lovely, amazing high energy working dog with a hefty owner’s manual. I’m used to my schedule accommodating the highs and lows of pet care. I get how dogs can feel about a stranger in their home, and same for their owners. I’ll follow whatever house rules you’ve got, and respect your dog’s personal space. I’m working to fully understand dog body language & stress indicators, and how to adapt my own behavior appropriately. I don’t offer boarding services at my home - my dog isn’t dog-friendly. I don’t offer overnight housesitting either - I prefer not to leave my dog overnight unless I can find a sitter for her.
