About: I am a veterinarian who has dedicated her life to caring for animals. I have worked with animals from a young age, including many hours working in vet offices in high school leading up to college and vet school (became a licensed vet in 2020). I am quite comfortable with caring for animals who need medications administered, or more intense levels of care while their owners are away. Working with animals brings me joy and peace, and making sure they are happy and well cared for is my life mission. I believe in fear free handling, and I am happy to work with animals who do not trust unknown people. I am a licensed veterinarian but I am currently in grad school so I am very flexible. I can be home all day if needed, and can provide close supervision. I have a 3 year old female German Shepherd (very friendly!) and cats (mostly outdoor). I have the ability to keep my dog separate if needed but she loves playing with other dogs! I have a full sized truck and the ability to transport animals with me safely. I have 2.5 acres of fenced land for dogs to run and play as well as a small fenced in section adjacent to the house. A pet door offers come and go access to the house. I am free to drop in during the week or board animals for extended periods, and if your animal needs medications administered as part of their care I am very capable. I am comfortable handling large dogs (I have a lot of practice in my line of work as a veterinarian). I am also comfortable with young animals, cats, older animals, and any animal requiring high levels of care.
“Heather is a fantastic cat caregiver. I highly recommend her. She is very trustworthy and kind. She communicated almost immediately any time that I contacted her; she took great photos of our cats; and she wrote updates about the cats after each visit. I have already re-booked her for more visits.”
About: Growing up, I have done pet and house sitting in various cities and situations. I come from a family of animal lovers: my mom won't even kill a house insect, and her mom has been know to adopt cats, birds, and even the occasional squirrel! We have no dogs of our own at this point, but I love to watch other peoples' dogs to scratch that canine itch (preferrably behind the ears! 😄) I am a home body with two little ones that are yet to be in school. I will probably be home most of the time your pet is here. We have an unfenced yard with caged chickens, quails, and goats. As a family, we spend lots of time outside and on walks, so your pet will get plenty of time to excercise.
“Lauren was absolutely perfect - super flexible and communicative. She also got a couple of studio-quality pictures of our cats :) We appreciated all her help and will definitely book her again!”

I look forward to meeting ou and your fur babies! ♥️ *All photos are my own and of the pets I have cared for.** Providing pet care is my sole source of income, and has been for over a year now. I have multiple pets of my own. I am always on the go! For boarding, I have an acre of fenced land, and 3 dogs of my own who love to play! I am used to senior dogs or young puppies. I have a few extra crates but would appreciate clients bringing their own if possible.

About: I grew up on a small farm raising a variety of animals including dogs and cats. Sometimes what seems to be a mean animal is just a misunderstood animal that need extra time and attention and love. I have a pretty open schedule and would like to build relationships with animals and fellow animal lovers alike. Right now I only do other low commitment jobs like DoorDash and have time to fit you into my schedule. This is kind of a good and bad thing about me but I love an animal that loves food, and I enjoy rewarding them with treats for good behavior. I promise not to fatten up your pets too much though.
About: I have over 500 hours of dog watching and raising experience (outside of my own pets) and spent over 800 hours volunteering cat care for kittens and disabled kitties I am a grad student with a totally flexible schedule and can work from home easily if needed! I will be able to incorporate your pet into my routine seamlessly. I also have the ability to fully care for your pet at their own home. I am able to be there often if needed or can stop by for occasional visits based off your own needs.
“Alex was incredible! She was flexible, punctual, and professional throughout the entire process. She was very knowledgeable about reptiles and did an amazing job of taking care of my reptile room! I even got pictures of my geckos! I look forward to having her back in the future and highly recommend her, especially for exotics!”

“Ashley did amazing job! Stevie cat warmed right up to her. She kept Stevie well feed, litter box cleaned and vacuumed around the litter box! Thank you Ashley! Would definitely book her again.”

About: I have always had a dog or some sort of animal in my households to take care of so this is nothing new to me. I also enjoy taking care of animals and find it very fun. I am a student at Radford University, so outside of my class I have a lot of time to take care of any pets after my classes. I have a fun and quiet home any pet can run around and enjoy themselves while they stay here. I can also take them in the backyard and play with them.
“Brittany is an amazing pet sitter!! I was a bit anxious as this was my first time booking on Rover, but she was so kind and understanding and answered all of my questions right away. She was so gentle and sweet with my kitties, and took wonderful care of them. Always on time and super responsive. I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter! ?”

About: I’m a trusted pet sitter with a lifetime of experience caring for animals of all sizes. From energetic puppies needing extra playtime and long walks to senior dogs who prefer gentle care and snuggles, I adapt to each pet’s unique needs. My family has owned dogs of all sizes, and I’ve also cared for birds, fish, and even plants while owners are away. As a college student without a pet of my own, I’m excited for every opportunity to give your pets the love, attention, and exercise they deserve—whether it’s a walk, hike, run, or simply keeping them comfortable and happy at home! I am currently a second semester senior at Virginia Tech so I have plenty of time during the week and some weekends (mornings and afternoons preferred) to play, walk, and hang with your pups! When caring for pets in a client’s home, I ensure they feel safe and comfortable by maintaining their usual routines. I follow feeding schedules, provide fresh water, and give them plenty of love and attention. For energetic pets, I include walks, playtime, or outdoor activities, while more calm pets get the gentle care and companionship they need. I also keep the home tidy, respect the client’s space, and send regular updates with photos, so you know your pet is happy and well cared for.

“I really appreciate Natasha taking care of Icho while I was at work. As my first experience with Rover I was unsure at first if it was dependable, despite all the awesome reviews I’ve seen. Natasha even took pictures for me. She also was nice enough to show me the 20$ off promo for my first booking! I look forward to booking with Natasha again soon ☺️”
About: I have always been an animal lover! I always have to stop and pet when I see them. I have often pet sat/boarded our neighbors animals for weeks even. I love all animals! I am currently a stay at home mom so I have extra time to come walk your pets, sit with them, or even for them to come stay with me I am home all day. At my home pets are always on leash and walked on grass/sidewalk. Can be kept in a separate area if requested! Clients home is based on clients wishes (backyard/dog park/sidewalk). I also have 3 loving dogs and 2 cats that stay with me currently!
“Angel was above and beyond! Being new to rover myself I wasn’t sure about everything and after visiting with Angel in person and asking a thousand questions I felt such at ease leaving my fur babies with her. She kept me posted on everything and even last minute wants/needs she made my rover experience the best! I most definitely will be using her services for the future and you will too! Thank you again for everything!”
