“Crystal exceeded our expectations! This was our first time leaving our dogs with anyone but family and I was very nervous but Crystal was so great with our two large breed dogs! She sent pictures with every visit and made it possible for me to enjoy my trip away!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was four years old. In the last five years I have traveled the country and dog/house sat in 8 states for neighbors, friends, family, and friends of. I have had experience in puppy training and working with dogs of all ages and size. I will treat your dog as if it were my own best friend! I am responsible and reliable and if I am free I will help as soon as possible! I like to provide fun updates to owners about the adventures their dogs and I have. Warning: You may come home to your dog wanting to go home with me. I work remote so my schedule is wide open as far as availability is concerned.. If that changes I will communicate it. If I am with your dogs they are my first priority. I am laid back and very flexible. I take the care of your best friend very serious. I try to keep your dog on the same schedule that you keep them on, although they may get longer walks and more belly and shoulder rubs with me.
“Travis was there on time and had no problem patiently dealing with my unsocialized GSD. He let the problem child and my new puppy outside and changed the puppies cage. He fed both dogs and took pictures all while charging me a very affordable rate for a half hour. Very trustworthy dog sitter. Thank you again Travis!”
About: Hi there! I'm Jasmine, your friendly and dependable dog sitter and walker. With a passion for dogs and a deep understanding of their needs, I'm here to provide top-notch care for your furry family members. I know how much your pets mean to you, and I'm dedicated to ensuring their happiness and well-being while you're away. I've been taking care of dogs since I was 10 years old. Neighbors and family friends knew they could rely on me to feed, walk, and care for their pets. They never had to worry about them while they were in my care. Being a pet owner myself, I know that pets are more than animals that live with you. They’re your comfort during the good, bad, and the ugly, they’re cuddle buddies on cold stormy nights and your best friends. More importantly, they’re family. When your dog is with me, he/she will be treated like one of the family. I am currently a college student attending classes from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. I am free the rest of the day, in between classes and mornings to play with your pups! If you need me for a drop-in or to walk your dog during those hours I can between 10 am and 12:30. I am also available for house-sitting on weekends. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my priorities. I believe communication is essential for quality service and customer satisfaction. If you ever need to contact me while I’m with your pet, a number will be provided for you to text or call. As a Rover user myself, I appreciate sitters who consistently keep me updated on my pet’s status. I will update you with pictures of your pup and all our endeavors while we’re together.
“Eleni was amazing for us this week! We’ve never left our three dogs for this long and ended up having a few curveballs, but she graciously handled a dog in heat and a few days of unexpected diarrhea. She went above and beyond and kept us updated every step of the way. We would absolutely use her again in a heartbeat.”

“Sophia came over a few days early for a meet and greet. She actually saw 2 of the cats! That's unusual. They're shy. Apparently they did come out to eat while she was here. There were pictures. This only a overnight. I will use Sophia again!”

About: With a lifetime of experience around animals - growing up on a farm and working in a vet's office - I bring both a wealth of knowledge and gentle touch to every pet I meet. I'm especially experienced with senior pet care, have a knack for puppy training, and even have a special place in my heart for unique breeds - have always had a Sphynx cat at home. Above all, I'm reliable, warm, and absolutely dedicated to making sure your furry (or furless!) friends feel safe and loved in their own home. Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily and weekly routine because I structure my schedule around providing dedicated, reliable time for each pet I look after. While I'm currently focusing on building my pet care services, I plan my availability thoughtfully to make sure every client gets the attention they need. In every client's home, I prioritize creating a safe, comfortable, and familiar environment for their pets. I take the time to understand each pet's routine and preferences, ensuring they feel secure and at ease while in my care. My approach is always about building trust - both with the pets and their owners - so that everyone feels confident and comfortable throughout the entire pet care experience.

About: I have lots of experience working with a variety of different animals including dogs, cats, reptiles, birds, and exotics. I have been assisting a friend for a few years walking dogs and figured it's time to offer my individual services! I will be home majority of the day to take care of any critters under my roof. I currently have no pets of my own to tend to other than some axolotls, so I am completely open to whatever needs an animal has. Inside my own home, I have a very minimalist approach to decor so there isn't much for animals to get injured on or involved with. I can take dogs out to the backyard for potty breaks and playtime and I also live a short walk from a park. Inside your home, I can care for a dog or cat however you instruct.
“Katelyn did the best she could do with JT. She was very attentive and helped him come out of his shell, which was one of the goals I had in mind for JT. She is a great sitter and I would recommend for anyone’s pet!”

About: I have been raising and caring for a variety of animals for over 25 years! Having experience with all kinds of animals, I know the importance of meeting the needs of each animal and giving it the love and care it deserves and desires. I have several families that reach out to me when they are planning a trip so that I can care for their pets while they are away. I understand the importance of maintaining the pet owners routine, commands, and affection with their pets to help reduce anxiety and stress while they are away. My goal is to love their pets as if they are my own. I have cared for our own dogs as seniors and have experience with failing body functions and know how to administer medications and assist the animal with getting up and moving around. I also have much experience with puppies since I breed Australian Shepherds and care for the puppies from the time they are born until they are at an appropriate age and health standard to go to their new families. I am so excited to meet many other pet families in our area and love on your pet so you can feel comfortable and at peace any time you need to travel and your pet has to stay behind. It’s hard enough to say good-bye, so having peace of mind on how they will be cared for while you are away can make a good trip a GREAT one!! I am available most days of the week for 24/7 care since we are a homeschooling family and I am a stay at home mom. Pets are allowed in our home as long as they get along well with other pets and children. I do have an in-ground fence and collars that I can use to teach your pet to stay in our yard. I also have two nice size kennels that give dogs plenty of room to wander inside and outside the kennel walls.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Hurt choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Hurt with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Hurt. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
