About: As a full-time clinical psychologist working from home, I’m able to spend plenty of quality time with the dogs I care for. Your pup won’t be left alone or bored—I’m here throughout the day for companionship, playtime, and attentive supervision. I have hands-on experience with rescue dogs, and I’ve personally adopted and trained one myself. This experience, combined with my professional background in behavioral psychology, allows me to understand dogs’ needs on a deeper level—from anxiety and attachment to motivation and habit-building. What truly sets me apart is how much I love and respect animals. I tailor my care to match each pet parent's specific preferences, making sure both the dog and their family feel fully supported and at ease. Whether it’s sticking to a routine, sending regular updates, or reading your dog’s signals, I approach every dog as if they were my own. I work from home on weekdays, which gives me the flexibility to provide care throughout the day. I’m generally available at most times during the week, and with a little notice, I can usually accommodate weekend requests as well. I only care for one dog at a time for both daycare and home boarding, unless they’re from the same household. This allows me to give your pup my full attention and ensure a peaceful, stress-free environment tailored to their needs. Whether your dog stays at my home or I care for them in yours, I focus on creating a calm, safe, and loving environment. I follow your dog's routine closely and always keep safety top of mind—whether it's leash rules on walks, feeding instructions, or respecting boundaries around other pets. In my home, pets have plenty of space to relax and play. I never leave dogs unattended, and I provide regular check-ins and updates so you can feel confident your pup is in good hands.

About: I have always been an animal lover. I feel like it is our duty to give them the best adventure that each day has to offer. I am attentive to their needs and strive to give them all the love and care they need when you are unavailable. I have a few clients in the mornings right now but would love to add more to my schedule! Contact me and let’s discuss more details. I love my pets and treat them as family because that’s what they truly are. I can assure you that your pet will get the same care, love, and attention as I give to my own!

“Long story short, Jaclyn is the best version of what I think Rover sitters should be. Assuming her availability matches up with my trips in the future, I will always book her again and again! Long story long: Everytime I move, I have to find a new sitter or sitting service for my two kitties. It is always an anxiety filled experience. This time, I turned to Rover. Rover wasn't offered where I used to live when I first looked (a couple years ago) but I'm so glad I now live in an area that offers it. Of course, I want to have the best sitter for a rate that won't make my kitties and I homeless in the long run. But I will always choose quality over budget. Luckily, Jaclyn fit into both categories. Before I went on vacation for a week, Jaclyn came over to meet my kitties and learn about their routine. During the meet and greet, she completely put my mind at ease. She was crawling around on the floor of my apartment trying to help me coax my nervous kitties out from under the bed. She took notes as I mentioned feeding, toys, etc. We talked for nearly an hour about my cats, her cats, our jobs, etc. I felt like she was a genuinely nice person who really, truly loves cats. Before she even left our meet and greet, I knew I was going to book her. Even though I knew Jaclyn was the best choice and that my kitties were going to be in good hands, I still get nervous before leaving for a trip. This was the first time in years that I was leaving my cats alone (no roommate now) with only a daily drop-in visit from a sitter. A new apartment, a new sitter, a new neighborhood... all while I was in a completely different country. My mama anxiety was on full blast. I left a lengthy, itemized letter detailing everything I could think of (some of it she already knew but some was new info) and setup everything Jaclyn could need for her visits. I filled their automatic wifi feeders full of dry food and made everything as simple as I could. Thankfully everything went smoothly. No emergencies and no incidents that Jaclyn couldn't handle easily on her own. She sent me two pictures every visit and notes about what she did or how the kitties were acting. I always waited anxiously for her text each night (different time zones make it harder) and as soon as she would text, I was able to relax for the evening. Once, when I noticed that the temperature was supposed to be getting high in the valley, I texted her to make sure my apartment wasn't getting too hot and she reassured me that it was still very cool inside and the kitties weren't reacting to the heat at all. She didn't seem annoyed when I messaged her out of the blue with each neurotic worry. When my flight home was canceled and I had to stay another night, she was kind enough to clean up everything one last time so I didn't have to worry about cleaning when I got home and could just hang out with my kitties. By the third visit, both kitties were really looking forward to her showing up for play time and their wet food meal. I'm pretty sure they like Jaclyn's visits so much that when I finally came home, they were confused why it wasn't her walking through the door and immediately tried to get me to play with them like she would. Haha.”

About: I’m a previous dog owner myself, who has 6 years of experience caring for dogs under my belt. Getting to spend time with pups never fails to brighten my day. Building a trusting relationship with them is even more rewarding. I’m a very gentle and firm (if needed) caretaker and I pride myself on connecting with animals through the unspoken language of good energy haha! I’m currently unemployed so my schedule is very flexible when I’m not at acting class on Sundays. I’m an early-morning person and I love to hike - all I need is a buddy! I’m a very adaptable person - whatever you say, goes. I’m gentle but firm when needed, and I am a chronic rule follower lol. I love going on walks and spending time in nature, as well as curling up on the couch and watching tv, so I’m game for whatever your baby needs!

“Mikayla is an absolute life saver. Not only did she give me peace of mind while I left my boys for the first time ever. She not only made sure they had everything they needed, but went above and beyond every single time.
