About: I started walking my neighbors dogs when I was 10. I have always had at least two dogs in my home growing up, and have experience walking, feeding, and bathing all types and ages of dogs. I have experience with senior dogs and love walking and relaxing with all kinds of pets! I am a graduate student, so my schedule is rather flexible. I have availability some weekends. I have my own car and try to be flexible 😊 please reach out! I love to go for walks and talking care of your pet would be a pleasure. The care I provide for pets depends on the needs of the specific pet. I walk dogs on leash and have experience staying in others homes and caring for their dog as requested. I also have experience feeding, administering medicine, and crating as necessary. I am very respectful of other people’s spaces and always am clean.

About: I have taken care of dogs and cats since I was 11! I would watch my neighbors cats and dogs when they were away. Additionally I have two years experience working at a DoggyDaycare and Aquatic Center! I am going into my first year of Law School so will have class during the week! However can definitely make time for morning or evening walks! Having worked at an official daycare for two years I understand the importance of keeping an eye on dogs to make sure no mischief occurs and that they are safe! They won’t go anywhere outside off leash and I can guarantee I won’t have anything not dog or cat friendly out in my apartment
“Abby was a great help and captured some entertaining and sweet pictures of my 3 cats while I was away. One of my cats has medical needs that always leaves me anxious when I'm away. But Abby's detailed updates each visit really helped ease that anxiety. Which also allowed me to enjoy my trip more. All 3 cats were taken care of wonderfully!”

“Latasha looked after our kitty (Lazare) and house for a week in July. She was very professional and courteous. She took the time to write down instructions on our meet and greet. Lazare loved her! I appreciated her communication and photos and she also took good care of the house and plants. I wholeheartedly recommend Latasha.”

“Phoebe was incredible! Provided detailed updates on how my cat was doing and made sure to spend quality time with him during each drop-in. She was very clear each day to provide an update on my cat’s upset stomach / health.”

“Chloe was great. Took good care of my two cats - communicative, hung out with them for a bit, sent pictures, and was very punctual. Which I appreciated greatly as one of the cats needs meds 2x a day.”

“We were so pleased with Madeline's care for Remy during our time away. After meeting her and seeing our cat curl into her legs, I knew that the bond was already there. We were never worried and enjoyed the photos and knew that we'd find our cat and our home in perfect condition....and that was our delight. We would like to leave Madeline an extra tip for her good work! Thanks Rover and thanks Madeline!! Nancy Chapman”

“Sarah was PHENOMENAL! My pup is easily frightened so I was worried about having someone come in to take him out for his daily breaks. She was very patient with him and gave me detailed updates throughout the day. I am so glad I chose her to take care of my baby while I was away. I will definitely using her services again very soon !”

“Alex was fantastic with my dog, Nate! Nate can be somewhat unruly with other dogs. Alex was keen on listening to how Nate's been trained and (IMHO) had the calm demeanor that people and dogs like Nate want in a dog walker. He also communicated well and followed through on everything he signed up for. Thank you, Alex!”

About: Before I became an expert at keeping my 9-year-old on a schedule, I was already mastering the art of happy pets! As a lifelong animal lover and mom to a pet-obsessed kiddo, I know that routines, patience, and lots of love go a long way. I’ve been caring for cats for over 10 years and have also been the go-to pet sitter for friends and family for just as long. I have an awesome and chill Tuxedo cat named Mittens who tends to get along which pretty much any other animal. Whether your pet loves zoomies, snuggles, bird watching from the window, or simply sticking to their normal routine, I’m happy to meet them where they are. I’ll make sure they get plenty of attention, playtime, belly rubs (if they’re into that!), and all the care they deserve. Every pet has their own personality, quirks, and preferences, and I love getting to know what makes them feel safe and happy. If your furry family member has any special accommodations, routines, or favorite toys, just let me know! My goal is to make sure they have a fun, comfortable stay while giving you complete peace of mind. I can’t wait to meet your best friend! 🐶🐱💕 I currently work part-time, which allows me to have plenty of time and flexibility to dedicate to caring for your pets. I love creating a calm routine with plenty of attention, playtime, and companionship throughout the day. I’m available for boarding Friday through Sunday and am happy to work with you to make sure your pet’s needs and schedule are accommodated. Whether your pet enjoys playtime, walks, cuddles, or simply having someone nearby, I’ll make sure they feel comfortable, cared for, and loved while they’re with me. Your pet’s comfort and safety are my top priorities. I live in a calm, clean, smoke-free, two-bedroom apartment where pets can relax and feel at home. I do my best to create a low-stress environment and will follow your pet’s routine as closely as possible so they feel safe and secure while you’re away. I live near a park, so dogs staying with us can enjoy regular walks, fresh air, and plenty of opportunities to explore. For cats, I’ll make sure they have a peaceful environment, enrichment, playtime, and lots of attention at their own pace. I’m also a mom to a wonderful 9-year-old who absolutely loves animals. She’s gentle, respectful, and never gets tired of playing or giving extra love to pets who enjoy human interaction. Of course, if your pet prefers quiet time or their own space, we always respect their boundaries and personality. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, cuddly, or independent, I’m happy to accommodate their unique needs to help them feel comfortable, safe, and loved during their stay.
“Brytan is awesome - she has been great with Georgie and he loves her visits! She has been so so flexible with my evolving work schedule too! Will definitely continue to use her and recommend her for services to anyone who needs puppy pet care!”

About: I have had animals in my house since I was a child. My cats act more like dogs and love to play and have fun yet they can still be calm and cuddly. I would love to create memories with your pets as well! I currenlty spend 3 days working from and can be there for your pet when they need me. They are also able to keep me company as I watch movies or binge tv shows. They are always allowed a cuddle to sleep or a cuddle on the couch. I have a fenced in yard but can also have your dog leashed and taken on a walk or tethered in the yard. They will always have access to food and water and are fed on whatever schedule you would like them to be fed on. Playtime is also my favorite. I have a lot of open space in my home and have a room where they would be able to go if they prefer to not be around other animals.
“Sara has been so helpful, communicative and wonderful! She was extra patient with our grumpy old man =) We highly recommend Sara for your pet sitting or drop in needs! Can’t wait to have her back in the future. Thanks Sara!”

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs and cats since I was 10. I dog sit regularly for friends and family, and do so because I love animals so much! Friends and family rely on me to walk, feed and love their animals for up to a week or so at times. This varies between dog and cat sitting at my home or house sitting at their home. Ages of pets range between 10 week old puppies and kittens to 10 year old dogs and cats. I have the extreme luxury of working from home Monday-Friday. With my schedule, I try to go for a walk everyday, so why not bring a dog with me?! I am in the St. Louis area most weekends and am able to accommodate weekend boardings as well. I have a 2 bedroom home and a fenced in backyard with a back door to easily let pets in and out. I am a huge animal lover!
About: My experience with dog care began at age 12 when I started walking my neighbors' medium-sized Labrador and Golden Retriever mix during summer afternoons, gaining early hands-on experience. Later, I expanded my responsibilities by dog-sitting for family friends, looking after dogs of various breeds and temperaments, which helped me develop a deeper understanding of different canine needs. I'm currently working remotely as an English tutor, and I have the flexibility to set my own hours to match your schedule and needs. I can assure you that your pet will be my top priority, and I am open to any changes, such as extended care time that you might require. I have a small backyard with a fence and a secure balcony if you want your cat to spend time outdoors. My cat is fed three times a day at specific times, so I can easily accommodate a strict feeding schedule for your pet.
“We love Laura and our cat, Cleo, does too! We were away for 9 days, and Cleo seemed super happy and healthy with Laura! She cared about Cleo as if she were her own cat, and I am glad we booked her! We will definitely rebook her next time we are away. We also love all the photos and rover cards she sent! Laura is super thoughtful too, and she seems very experienced with hosting and handling cats.”

Emma was wonderful with both of our dogs while we were away. She communicated clearly throughout and sent multiple photos, which gave us peace of mind knowing our 6 month old puppy and 10 year old dog were happy and well cared for. We would highly recommend her to anyone!

Emily is hands down the absolute best! I was stranded out of town for three extra days due to many, many flight cancellations. Every time I messaged her to ask if she could care for Blake another day she happily agreed! Blake (my senior dog) loves when she’s there and I love it too because I don’t have to worry one bit knowing Blake is safe and happy. I cannot thank her enough for what she does.

I was very happy with the care that Hope provided for my two pups while I was away. With every visit Hope provided notes and photos, and I could see that the pups were doing great in my absence. I came home to two happy, relaxed dogs who had been well cared for.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
