I needn't have worried as he was completely unstressed and happily fed when I got home. About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life, from walking a big Weimaraner as a kid to helping care for my family’s two energetic working cocker spaniels when I visit. I’m experienced with high-energy breeds, comfortable walking multiple dogs at once, and always take the time to make sure each dog feels safe and happy. I also have experience supporting animals with different temperaments, and I’m happy to adapt to each dog’s specific needs whether it’s gentle encouragement for nervous pups or plenty of playtime for the energetic ones! I currently work part-time as a dog walker on Fridays, which means the rest of my week is wide open and I’m usually home during the day and night. My partner is a junior doctor, so I often have the house to myself and plenty of time and flexibility to dedicate to pet care. Whether it’s daytime company, evening cuddles, or early morning walks, I’m happy to fit around your dog’s needs and routine. I live in a two-bedroom flat in the centre of York with a secure gated courtyard, a private balcony, and locked entry gates. The space is ideal for small to medium-sized dogs, with plenty of room to relax, play, and feel at home. I'm just a short walk from several green spaces, making it easy to get out for regular walks and fresh air. I always aim to create a calm, secure, and loving environment where pets can feel safe, happy, and looked after.

About: I’m a qualified medical Doctor who has turned to full time dog care and I’m much happier for it! I run a Dogwalking business and have two friendly cockerpoos of my own I walk dogs full time for a living. Currently going on between 3-5 walks a day. I would happily bring any dogs I’m caring for along with other friendly dogs I walk. If not I would only be away from the house for 2 hours before seeing them again Having two cockerpoos of my own I am experienced in reading dogs and determining their needs. I love to give them attention and play with them when I’m not out walking with them. I can’t imagine an evening bette than extended pup play!

Every day after school I would walk Jasper through the local woods and ensure he got plenty of attention and enough food throughout the day. Usually, if the dog is relatively calm and seems content, I will have them sit by me in their beds while I do work; however, if I feel like it has been too long since they have gone out or if I think they would enjoy going out, then I will take them on a quick or long walk. I tend to prefer giving my dog three meals a day; however, when taking care of another person’s pet, the animal’s and owner’s preferences will be followed. Naturally the pets, whether mine or someone else’s, always remain within sight and with constant supervision.

About: I have owned pets my whole life. Since the age of 12, I have independently looked after my two dogs Dolly and Elsie, including as seniors, and two cats Tinkerbell and Kenny. I’m currently working full time 9-5, however I have flexibility for early mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays to look after your cats or dogs. I can visit your house and take care of your pet in the morning and evening. I am trustworthy and can do any tasks that are required.

About: I’ve been around dogs since I was 7 years old, growing up with family dogs of all ages and temperaments. With over 15 years of hands-on experience, I’m comfortable caring for puppies who need extra patience and energy, as well as senior dogs who deserve gentle, attentive support. I’ve looked after friends’ and families’ dogs during holidays many times, so I understand how important it is to keep routines consistent and pups feeling loved. I’ve dealt with a family pet who has extreme anxiety and worked alongside an animal behaviouralist before, so used to different temperaments for dogs. Long walks, playtime, and lots of affection are always part of the experience! I’m currently on a career break, so available throughout the day and across the week. Will have more limited availability over the weekends but may be available if required. At my home the back garden is fully fenced with a 5ft fence minimum, as well as a gated entrance into the garden, so extremely secure.

About: I have taken care of dogs for over 10 years for friends and family members and now have a miniature schnauzer called Cleo whom I have had for 5 years. I have experience with walking, feeding, washing and training dogs. I’m currently doing a PhD at the university of York so am fairly flexible with my hours.
