“What an amazing experience! Johnny looked after our cat for a week while we were in Morocco- we came back to a happy shiny cat and a pristine house. He is respectful, thoughtful and very friendly. Luna has the best time and I can’t recommend her new friend Johnny highly enough! Brilliant service!”

“Yang was an excellent help with our kitten while we were away for the best part of a week. She met with us beforehand to get familiar with the cat, and attended twice a day just as requested, doing the cat essentials but also playing with him. Our cat had a few accidents while we were away, and Yang was so great cleaning up and keeping us updated with everything that happened. We'd definitely consider booking her again. Thank you, Yang!”

“Amelia was a bit hit with our Labrador puppy Nevis! She was very professional and friendly. She gave us a lovely update on the visit and Nevis clearly enjoyed himself! Thank you ☺️”

“I was very relieved to be able to book Jonathan to come and feed Hugo when I couldn't get home until late, but also a little anxious as Hugo is very wary of strangers. I needn't have worried as he was completely unstressed and happily fed when I got home. I could see that Jonathan had cleaned and tidied the feeding area before putting out fresh food and I would definitely use his services again if the need arose. I would wholeheartedly recommend him!”

“Emma was amazing with our Maisey, who is very fickle and not always the kindest of the kitties. Every day I’d see a photo of Maisey looking ever so happy and content with Emma and her visits. She warmed to Emma very quickly which I was shocked with but it just goes to show. Thank you again Emma.”

“Repeat booking. Lindsey is great, so reliable and Joni loves playing with her & is always so happy and upbeat after her puppy pop ins. Also super on it w updates/communication and letting us know details of the pop in/signing in and out. Top tier pup sitter! Highly recommend.”

About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life, from walking a big Weimaraner as a kid to helping care for my family’s two energetic working cocker spaniels when I visit. I’m experienced with high-energy breeds, comfortable walking multiple dogs at once, and always take the time to make sure each dog feels safe and happy. I also have experience supporting animals with different temperaments, and I’m happy to adapt to each dog’s specific needs whether it’s gentle encouragement for nervous pups or plenty of playtime for the energetic ones! I currently work part-time as a dog walker on Fridays, which means the rest of my week is wide open and I’m usually home during the day and night. My partner is a junior doctor, so I often have the house to myself and plenty of time and flexibility to dedicate to pet care. Whether it’s daytime company, evening cuddles, or early morning walks, I’m happy to fit around your dog’s needs and routine. I live in a two-bedroom flat in the centre of York with a secure gated courtyard, a private balcony, and locked entry gates. The space is ideal for small to medium-sized dogs, with plenty of room to relax, play, and feel at home. I'm just a short walk from several green spaces, making it easy to get out for regular walks and fresh air. I always aim to create a calm, secure, and loving environment where pets can feel safe, happy, and looked after.

About: I’m a qualified medical Doctor who has turned to full time dog care and I’m much happier for it! I run a Dogwalking business and have two friendly cockerpoos of my own I walk dogs full time for a living. Currently going on between 3-5 walks a day. I would happily bring any dogs I’m caring for along with other friendly dogs I walk. If not I would only be away from the house for 2 hours before seeing them again Having two cockerpoos of my own I am experienced in reading dogs and determining their needs. I love to give them attention and play with them when I’m not out walking with them. I can’t imagine an evening bette than extended pup play!

About: I have had pets my whole life, and looking after them has been a big part of my life growing up. I have been called a “dog whisperer” by my friends, as even dogs who are normally wary seem to be comfortable around me. I dogsit for friends and family all the time, being the trusted family member as I just love dogs and understand them so well. I can look after dogs of all shapes and sizes, with experience of all behaviours, including reactivity and dogs who pull. I am responsible and compassionate and will give your pet all the love. I am a student and I work part time, so I have lots of time in the day and night to fuss over your pup and play with them. I will prioritise your dog’s comfort, routine, and safety above all else. I’ll make sure everything feels calm, consistent, and reassuring while you’re away. I’ll follow your instructions closely—whether that’s around feeding, walking, training, or cuddles—so your dog feels as settled as possible. I’m experienced with dogs of all personalities and behaviours, including those who are reactive or nervous, and I always approach them with patience, empathy, and gentle care. While staying in your home, I’ll treat the space with complete respect, keeping things clean and leaving everything just as I found it. I’ll also keep you updated with regular messages and photos, so you can feel confident your pup is happy, safe, and well loved.

About: Experienced in raising and training puppies from birth, with a deep understanding of canine behavior and needs. Skilled in handling and caring for dogs of various breeds and sizes, including large dogs prone to pulling. Capable of managing dogs with different temperaments, ensuring they receive the exercise, attention, and love they deserve. Proficient in caring for both male and female dogs, with a commitment to providing a safe, nurturing, and enjoyable experience during walks. For years I have taken care of my own dog (Jasper). Every day after school I would walk Jasper through the local woods and ensure he got plenty of attention and enough food throughout the day. Usually, if the dog is relatively calm and seems content, I will have them sit by me in their beds while I do work; however, if I feel like it has been too long since they have gone out or if I think they would enjoy going out, then I will take them on a quick or long walk. I tend to prefer giving my dog three meals a day; however, when taking care of another person’s pet, the animal’s and owner’s preferences will be followed. Naturally the pets, whether mine or someone else’s, always remain within sight and with constant supervision.

“Caitlin looked after our two cats and we would not hesitate to book her again! She was very friendly and easy to contact, following all care instructions and getting on well with our boys.”

About: I have owned pets my whole life. Since the age of 12, I have independently looked after my two dogs Dolly and Elsie, including as seniors, and two cats Tinkerbell and Kenny. I’m currently working full time 9-5, however I have flexibility for early mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays to look after your cats or dogs. I can visit your house and take care of your pet in the morning and evening. I am trustworthy and can do any tasks that are required.

“Gemma looked after my cats for the second time recently. As always she was reliable, friendly and kept in touch. Arrived home to happy cats. I would definitely recommend and book her again. 🐾”

About: I’ve been around dogs since I was 7 years old, growing up with family dogs of all ages and temperaments. With over 15 years of hands-on experience, I’m comfortable caring for puppies who need extra patience and energy, as well as senior dogs who deserve gentle, attentive support. I’ve looked after friends’ and families’ dogs during holidays many times, so I understand how important it is to keep routines consistent and pups feeling loved. I’ve dealt with a family pet who has extreme anxiety and worked alongside an animal behaviouralist before, so used to different temperaments for dogs. Long walks, playtime, and lots of affection are always part of the experience! I’m currently on a career break, so available throughout the day and across the week. Will have more limited availability over the weekends but may be available if required. At my home the back garden is fully fenced with a 5ft fence minimum, as well as a gated entrance into the garden, so extremely secure.

About: I have taken care of dogs for over 10 years for friends and family members and now have a miniature schnauzer called Cleo whom I have had for 5 years. I have experience with walking, feeding, washing and training dogs. I’m currently doing a PhD at the university of York so am fairly flexible with my hours. I am available both during the week and during weekends, please message for more details. I am happy to work to your schedule with feeding and walk times and will aim to keep your pet as relaxed, happy and stress-free as possible
