“Heather is absolutely wonderful - She has just started walking our puppy Otis and is really lovely with him. She gives really detailed updates when she is with him and let's us know he gets on with his walk, playing in the garden, short naps etc. Otis has taken to her so well already and looks forward to when she arrives! 😊”

“Rita is responsible, reliable and caring. Our Rosa immediately loved her. Thank you Rita for walking her today. We will definitely call you again.”

“We have a very anxious and barky dachshund, along with a playful chihuahua. Erin was incredibly patient and encouraging, helping our dachshund build the confidence to go on a walk. Her calm and loving approach made all the difference. It's clear she's a devoted dog mum herself, and we're so grateful to have found her. Erin will be our dog walker for as long as she'd like to be!”

About: I can look after or care for your dog when you are at work. I used to have a couple of Jack Russells and some years ago a couple of border collies. All from puppies. I work from home now and live by myself and would love some company. I have a garden. My son has a dog Luna, Pixie is my twin sister’s dog and Tomaquet & Moocher were my Jack Russells. I am flexible on days as I am home every day including evenings and weekends. Able to take out for walks. I have a fenced garden. Happy to have 2 dogs from the same family. Also doggy day care is available. I have a Chi-Poo (Chihuahua mixed with a toy poodle). I started to use Rover myself as a customer last year as occasionally I have to go to Nottingham for a day with work, but started to care for other people's dogs earlier this year. I am getting really booked up so if you could confirm your booking as soon as you are able to after the meet and greet so that I can guarantee the booking for your doggie woggie that would be great. I like to arrange a meet and greet first though anyway and do that at my house in Woodsmoor so that your pooch can get used to a new environment and feel more familiar. I have looked after a variety of dogs including rescue dogs who need socialising with other dogs, taller dogs who can open door handles, greedy dogs who need to be given only the right amount of food so I have to watch that they don’t pinch other dogs food, down to the real, cheeky, sweet ones who are mischievous but you can’t help loving them as they are furiously wagging their tail 😂😂😂 I have looked after puppies, dogs with attitudes and the ones who like do things on their terms but I know what I can handle with boundaries. If I or Minnie are not happy with a dog I will say so but to be honest this has only happened a couple of times. I need to know your furbaby will be comfortable too xx I work from home so can care for dogs in my house. I don’t put my dog in kennels as she is not an outside kennel dog. Minnie shares the bed with me and I am happy for your special pooch to do the same. However if your dog is crate trained I can also accommodate that. I live near Mirlees fields, but also like going to Cale Green Park, Bramhall Park, Bruntwood Park and Vernon Park. I have a fenced in garden and always take dogs out on a lead. I love looking after dogs in my own house. My dog likes running around the garden. I have loads of fields nearby so if your dog is ok off the lead they can have a run around. I use dog seats in my car when travelling to ensure that all the doggies are kept safe!

About: I've been surrounded by animals my whole life—dogs, cats, chinchillas, rabbits, budgies—you name it! I'm experienced with pets of all ages, from playful puppies and kittens to wise old senior companions, and everything in between. Whether it’s sitting with your cat and their favourite spring toy or taking your dog out for their daily walk, I genuinely love brightening up a pet’s day. I offer reliable home visits and dog walks, tailored to your pet’s routine and personality. ✅ Puppies to seniors ✅ Walks, playtime, check-ins ✅ Cats and dogs welcome I also offer free meet & greets, so don’t hesitate to get in touch—your pet’s comfort (and your peace of mind) is my priority. I’m a work-from-home software developer with flexible hours, so I can usually accommodate visits at most times of the day—even short notice! For bookings further in advance, I’m happy to arrange a free meet & greet to make sure everyone’s comfortable and everything runs smoothly. I always treat your home and pets with the utmost respect and care, following any specific instructions you provide to keep your pet safe and comfortable. During home visits, I maintain a calm and quiet presence to minimize stress, ensuring your pet’s routine—feeding, play, medication—is followed precisely. I never allow your pet outside without permission, and I’m vigilant about keeping doors and gates secure. On walks, I keep your dog on a secure lead unless you’ve specified they have reliable off-lead recall. I stay alert to surroundings, avoiding hazards, and adjusting the walk pace and route to suit your dog’s needs and temperament. Communication is key: I provide updates after visits to keep you reassured, and I’m always happy to discuss any concerns or special care instructions.

“Great happy person. Snoopy came back from his walk very content and chirpy. She controlled him well and was very organised and communicated well. Thank you.”

About: I have had cats from a very early age I've recently had a dog for 3 years and helped to train him from being a pup he was a cockapoo and very much loved unfortunately due to splitting up from my partner I no longer have him. I love all pets as my own and they are definitely made to be part of the family. I have a 16 Yr old boy who to loves animals. I love walking we have lovely parks close by. My son will not be walking or looking after just me. I work from home whilst my son is at school so always with the animals when needed I have breaks for walks and plenty cuddles. I have a backyard fenced off so door is open when needed to go out, I have no pets of my own so one to one attention always.

“Cameron has taken his time to get to know our dogs and has been flexible in planning walks. He has excellent timekeeping and we trust him to look after our girls.”

About: We got our first family dog when I was about 8 years old. When I was about 14 we adopted Mickey, aged 2 - the family dog who sadly passed last year, aged 19. Since then my family had Pablo, an energetic Sprocker Spaniel. And my partner and I have had our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Copper, for 6 years from being a puppy. I regularly care for Pablo when my parents are on holiday, and have looked after friends dogs in the past. I'm working from home typically 2 days a week. On the days I'm in work, my dog will be looked after by friends or parents. My daily routine when working from home consists of a 45 minute walk first thing in the morning to the local park - usually 7.30/8am - and if the dog is up for it, the same in the late afternoon. I have a small secure garden which is padlocked at the back. I don't leave my dog unsupervised outside and just let him out for the toilet. I work upstairs in the spare room - so I just put the dogs bed next to my desk where he likes to sit. He will go down and get water when he needs it.

About: As a part time kennel hand I walk, feed, bathe and administer medications to dogs! I have a small garden ideal for puppies and elderly dogs as well as a local park for the more active ones. Dogs will not be allowed off lead on walks however I do often take long scenic walks (2hrs+) and would be happy to have your pup with me if they are up for the challenge. There will always be a person home with your pet and I can promise a minimum of 3 let outs/walks a day (individual needs can be discussed.) They will have plenty of play time and my sofa is their sofa. I have a fenced garden and a room your pet can have to themselves if they would like a place to hide (I'm looking at you cat owners.) Lots of toys are about and I can accommodate a crate if your pet is accustomed to sleeping in one.

“Victoria was absolutely amazing, came round to visit nova beforehand and pick up the keys at a time that suited me. She was brilliant with nova- definitely would recommend and I rate highly!”

About: I have taken care of animals from the age of 8+, i first started with taking an interest to a neighbours dog- after a while i joined them on the walk and then when i hit maturity i started walking him on my own and having sleepovers with him while his family went away on holiday or for the night. I am currently not working full time so I have all the time in the world to do something I truly enjoy doing, i have always wanted to work around pets, so taking care of your babies would make my day! I am a very trustful person, funnily enough i think animals can sense this from me as they become very relaxed in my company! I always make sure that any pet is safe and comfortable in their environment.

“Amy looked after our dog while our regular walker was on holiday, and she was amazing! She was reliable, warm, and clearly experienced with dogs. Our pup adored her and came back from each walk happy and tired. It was such a relief knowing he was in safe, caring hands. We’d happily book Amy again—highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy walker!”

About: I have taken care of family and friends dogs for around 10 years. I love animals and currently have 2 kitties myself called Simba and Jasmine. I have looked after my friends dog since he was a puppy, walking him and taking him out for the day, as well as popping in to feed and sit with him when needed. I have also been walking local neighbours dogs for a few years when needed. I also volunteer at a local charity walking dogs and cleaning the cattery so have lots of experience with different types of dogs and cats. I currently work full time but I work from home with a flexible schedule so can be regularly available to walk or check in on your doggies or pop in and see your cat. I am happy to accommodate your pets needs so please do discuss this with me. The only day I work from the office is Thursdays but my office is dog friendly so I am more than happy to discuss the possibility of taking your dog into the office with me for the day if you needed. I am also happy to do an evening walk/check in to care for your pup or cat which can also include a feed if needed. I am available on Saturdays and Sundays for longer walks and/or sitting services for both dogs and cats. I am happy to discuss all details of care needed with you :) I am very cautious when it comes to other peoples pets. I have 2 indoor cats of my own and they are indoor due to medical reasons so I am very caring and careful when it comes to animals needs. I won’t let your dog off the lead unless you are comfortable.

“Super helpful with my last minute booking. Great communication. Pictures and videos sent throughout the walk. Will book again!! Thank you ?”

About: I love going for walks with dogs. I am a full time nurse that loves to spend her days off outside with four legged friends. I am very caring and patient. Reliable and trustworthy. I work shifts at the hospital so my availability is random but always have 3 days off a week. I can be off during the week or at weekends. I would only care for dogs at my own house on my days off, so the dog will be with me all the time. As is my day off I have full availability on the day

“I would 100% recommend Izzy to care for your pet, she absolutely loves animals and showered her own dog with so much love and care. Izzy is responsible, fun, happy and loyal, everything you would need when trusting someone to care for your pet, I am sure she would pay attention and listen to your requests and needs and deliver the right care.”

Ruth V.
“Ruth has been looking after my dogs for over 20 years. She was actively involved in all aspects of care for my dog Maisey when we were house mates, she was co-owner really. She always took her on much longer and more fun walks than I did! My current dog is a bit of a handful at times. He's a big lad with a very strong pray drive when out and about. I have 100% confidence in Ruth's ability to manage him. Having had dogs all her childhood it shows in her confidence with dogs. She sticks with any rules that you have set. I know lots of other people who have asked Ruth to look after their dogs and feel the same as I do. She often just takes them for walks because she wants to, not because the owners need it. She's 100% a doggy person!”

Minerva H.
“Miny is absolutely amazing! She is friendly, patient and caring. She’s great with animals and my dog Caspar loves her. I couldn’t recommend her enough!”
